Idyllically situated 10 km from the historic town of Stanford, Stanford Valley Guest Farm provides a restful and picturesque base from which to tour both the Overstrand and Overberg regions of South Africa's Western Cape. Close to Caledon, Hermanus and Gansbaai, there is no shortage of "things to do," but we have plenty of space for hiking and swimming in our large dam right here on the farm. Our accommodation comprises of a total of 19 en suite rooms of which 7 are self-catering. Our restaurant, Manor House, opened its doors November 2015 and is already a firm favorite on the culinary scene!

Staff friendly, food good but wine prices excessive.Room quality did not live up to the description on the website. Poorly maintained, low quality fittings and cupboards. The mountain view was obscured and the patio dusty and small.

Beautiful venue and setting, wonderful staff, very accommodating, I would recommend anytime. They were very understanding when we had made an error on the booking and did not charge u sfor the error which was extremely generous of them!

Wonderful location, great hospitality and sharp service. We had lunch there for a 70th birthday part and thoroughly enjoyed it. We slept over in one of the self catering units and were very impressed with the rustic, but quality look and feel of the place.

A happy find. Beautiful setting, comfortable cottages, amazing personalised service from unusually attentive staff, and the bonus of a superb restaurant. Interestingly, every aspect of the guest house runs smoothly yet with no hint of overly rigid control. Making for a particularly relaxed experience. We...More
