We have been following Stanford Hills and its products for a few years years now. When we first visited this cottage many years ago, we were welcomed with two bottles of wine and a ridgeback. Unfortunately little has been done to improve the cottage and it is in need of a new mattress in the main bedroom. Still love the place.

The manor house at Stanford Hills is the most amazing place! We were a large group celebrating a birthday and the house was perfectly suited to cooking and sharing celebratory meals. The weather was not so great but the house is so comfortable inside that this didn't bother us at all. Everything you could possibly need is in the house, it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into equipping it. Highly recommend!

We stayed for one evening with our 5-year old and 9month old. It’s a beautiful setting but even the two bedroom cottage was very small with almost no space in the bedrooms. Had to remove a bedside table from the room to be able to fit a campcot in the main bedroom. The overall condition of the cottages can also do with some upkeep and renovation.

If we had paid half the daily rate I would have been satisfied.

We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and kids could run about on the grass and have fun on the interesting play items. The mellanzane was great.
Very sad to see the harmful port jackson infiltrating. More Cape flora would be wonderful. lacking at the moment.

Really loved the place but the downside is that when we booked via the website the cottage was meant to have a TV but on arrival nothing, when we brought this up, we received no apology or reprieve but were told marketing department made a mistake. It felt like you a you get what you get kind of response. Apart from that will definitely visit again

Place was perfect for a larger group. Everyone was very friendly and helpful on the farm. Only thing is be aware that the water for the bathrooms is not filtered and takes a little getting used to. Great place to stretch your legs, also some great wine tasting on the farm and nearby.

An ideal cabin in which to stay in peace with facilities and small town on the doorstep. Good base for exploring the area, Graansbai and the shark viewing not far away, with the beach at Hermanus within easy reach. Helpful and welcoming staff. Good wines too!

Had the best time with my cousins. We booked Sylvia cottage for some soul cleansing, and that's exactly what we did. We sat at the fire place while talking for hours. We stood in the back yard and let loose some white balloons for the people we have lost along this journey we call life. We cried and some screamed to let go of all the hurt. The views are amazing and the quietness is what we needed. Thank you Stanford Hills Staff for everything.

Can recommend the yellowtail with artichoke, olive and tomato for lunch.

We took a group of people on a bicycle trip, or should we say bike packing trip, so we had all of our gear on our bikes. Choosing Africamps was a way we could keep it rustic, add some camping which keeps with the theme of our trip.. although without taking any food along we relied on our venues. Africamps does that very well, and self catering options are well thought our with their baskets available. Great stay!
