Exemplary service from all staff and guides. Friendly and efficient service, delicious food and very comfortable rooms. The Beach activity is wonderful, miles and miles of beach ending with a Gin & Tonic on top of the dunes.

Everything about Mosaic Lagoon Lodge was just right! Our room, although not huge, was perfect for us and had everything we needed. The food was excellent, the service amazing and the views incredible! Due to a fire nearby, we had to be evacuated for one night. The evacuation was handled with seriousness and professionalism and we appreciated the care and urgency the management took. Everything turned out great, but to know that our safety was the key factor, we felt in excellent hands! Thank you Mosaic for an exceptional experience and only wish it was longer!

Dear Gail and Jeffrey Thank you for the lovely review! it was so lovely to meet and host you at Mosaic and a real pity that the one night was disturbed with the fire but we are also so grateful that everyone was safe. We hope that you will come visit us again when back in South Africa Kind Regards The Team at Mosaic Lagoon Lodge

Such a majestic place with healing powers. The welcome drink and warm towels together with the friendly greeting made one feel at peace. We had a serene river cruise with an exceptional bird enthusiast which set the relaxation in motion. The massage was transformative and one of the best we have ever had, thank you Anne & Thandie. The beach picnic was both romantic and adventurous. One could not have asked for a more wildly beautiful setting. Fire pits, delicious food, wine and Boma dancing rounded off the experience. But the core thread that brought it all together was the friendly and attentive staff. Each one has left an endearing mark in our hearts. And now that we are family we look forward to coming “home” again soon. Thank you Team Mosaic, especially Maria, Lucky, Ishmael, Richard and Baptizwa. And thank you Jo-Anne and Maryke for making this a magical experience. It was well received ♡

Simple and beautiful. Maryke and her team have taken on the covid-19 challenges and offer a super experience at Mosaic. The north and west facing views onto the lagoon are breathtaking and help keep things warm in winter. A trip to the remote beach is a must, but essentially you can be as busy and energetic or as relaxed as you choose - it's a good mix. The chefs dished up some lovely meals too!

We stayed over 2 nights at MOSAIC and enjoyed every minute - beautiful natural surroundings, lovely food, friendly and attentive staff, comfortable suites and bathrooms and a stunning quad bike excursion. We had our 8 year old daughter with us and she was catered for so perfectly. What a beautiful safari style lodge and perfect for an intimate wedding too. We would go back in a heartbeat to experience the tranquility again!

We stayed at the Mosaic Lagoon Lodge during our recent visit to South Africa. Having been on safari twice we decided on a more relaxed back to nature and birds experience this time and the Mosaic did not disappoint.
It felt very much like a luxury safari lodge and included all the creature comforts you need. It was cozy and very well equipped with a lovely big bathroom with bath and indoor and outdoor shower. The views from the deck were lovely and from what I could see would have been similar from all the lodges. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. You didn’t get a great deal of choice but you wouldn’t expect multiple choices when catering for only 10 people – but what you did get was delicious and no doubt if neither choice appealed to you the chef would have found something that did. The joy of eating in the dining room however was the view – it is beautiful.
Activities are offered to you when you arrive – we chose the boat ride down the river, sunset on the beach and my husband had a guided walk with Chris, the lodge guide. The boat ride was great with Chris and boat driver being so knowledgeable of all of the birds that inhabit the area plus the weather was beautiful which always makes things great. Somebody had mentioned previously that the activities are only 45 minutes long, but we were on the river for 1.5 hours plus the drive back and forth we were away from the Lodge for 2.5 hours so no complaints from us. Sunset on the beach unfortunately was a windy and rainy affair but I could see how with a beautiful sunny sunset it would be spectacular ….next time.
We took an additional trip to Panthera - Big Cat Sanctuary. The beauty of these animals and the good work they are doing there is wonderful. We recommend this and can be booked via the Mosaic who will also arrange transportation.
I had a massage with Ann which was excellent. I wasn’t feeling at my best during our stay, but the massage really helped me to relax and feel better.
All in all we had a great time at the Mosaic. The staff were friendly and very helpful - Joanne manages a good team. We wish them continued success.

Beautiful setting and excellent staff. Level of luxury and finish not up to five star. Food good but by no means exceptional. Rooms ok but lacking polish and detail. Frustrating that for the price we paid, bill gets docked for R100 for a gin that wasn’t part of the inclusive and was not explained. Special tribute to Vitalis. Wonderful guy.

Good day Thank you for taking the time to review us we are happy to hear that the staff took good care of you during your stay. Apologies for the misunderstanding with regards to the beverages all our house drinks are on an inclusive rate we however do have a selection of premium spirits and wines which are an additional cost and this should have been communicated better from our side. We do hope to welcome you back in the near future Kind Regards The Team at Mosaic Lagoon lodge

We stumbled on this Lodge a few years ago and it’s the one place in the world we keep returning to.
Only five (very luxury) huts overlooking a lagoon. Very private and amazingly peaceful sitting on the deck watching all the birds.
If you fancy excitement too the quad biking is great fun as is the jeep ride to the beach.
It’s not cheap but all meals and snacks are inclusive as are the activities.
The staff are so wonderful - they can’t do enough for you.
We will be back!

Great peaceful lodge close to Hermanus that has activities as well as wonderful rooms and views. Spent two nights and loved seeing all the whales and doing going out on the quad bikes over the terrain and to see the views from the top. Food was great and sitting by fire or view of the lagoon for dinner is quite enjoyable. Our guide was so much fun as well!

I had an absolutely exquisite weekend away with my girlfriends at Mosaic Lagoon Lodge. The staff are warm and friendly, and spoilt us rotten. The views are breath-taking and the facilities are top notch. We felt like we were on holiday in a foreign country. The team follows strict COVID-19 Protocol which made us feel safe. We will definitely be back again soon!

They have a wood pellet heater in the corner. We were a little chilled in the bathroom so they brought in a space heater for the bathroom.
Hi there, we do offer Kayak excursions. Pre-bookings are essential though. Please contact our reservations team on info @ mosaicsouthafrica . com or call 028 313 2814 regarding availability and pricing.
No it would be too far & is not somewhere for a day trip. You need time to relax & enjoy the tranquility whilst taking in the beautiful scenery
Hi Peter,
I just want to make sure you received our answer to this from our website (your question was there also).
Thank you.
