A warm hospitable welcome awaits you in this charming country style home that offers 4 star luxury en-suite bed & breakfast accommodation for tourists, as well as corporate guests needing peaceful and comfortable accommodation on their travel. A delicious full English breakfast is included, and in the evening you can enjoy some of the finest cuisine in our restaurant and relax with good fellowship around Tony’s Private Bar. With our central location for exploring Zululand in KwaZulu-Natal a part of the accommodation service we offer is to assist our guests in the planning of tours and safaris to get the most of their time. The main tours and safaris starts from our doorstep and are undertaken by experienced guides from Zululand Aquatic & Animal Adventures which have a sound knowledge of the abundant wildlife of the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve and the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

My wife, my 2-year-old son, and I stayed two nights here in September of 2023. We absolutely loved it. It was cozy, comfortable, and clean. The dinner was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly. It's also a very convenient location if you want to spend time in both St. Lucia and in Hluhluwe-Umfulozi, as it's conveniently located about 30 minutes from both locations. We will likely stay here again.

We stayed for four nights at Wendy's country lodge. We had a wonderful time there : warm welcome, nice bar, excellent and healthy dinner shared with owners and guests. The garden around the different rooms is beautiful. The lodge is closed to the city centre but in a secured and quiet estate. Saint Lucia is 40 minutes drive. I recommend.

Wendy's country lodge is a special place where we felt like in family . Jenny and Gavin are full of attentions for their guests, from the breakfast to the evening coktails at their bar and exquisite dinners they share with us all. The rooms are very comfortable and finely decorated, and the tropical garden is a beautiful area. We spent two days of safari guided by Gavin who is as knowledgeable about wildlife as passionate to share it with his guests. So do not hesitate to profit by this unique opportunity to discover the region with him. We highly recommend Wendy's country lodge ! Thanks very much Jenny and Gavin, we will be back ! I sent my parents here for the weekend as their Christmas present. Wow! They came back raving about their fantastic weekend. They loved every minute of it. They were particularly impressed with the attentive care they received. They said their hosts were warm & engaging, the accommodation top notch & the food delicious. A lodge with wonderful energy. We loved staying there. We haven't slept as well in a long time, that reminds me we have to ask Jenny where she has the beds from, so comfortable.! We enjoyed sitting on our own little porch, chatting with the other guests, and eating good food (even made extra excellent vegan options). Thank you for these relaxing days.

The beautiful lodge is conveniently located close to two amazing natural reserves. The room is beautiful, well organised, silent with great forniture, a private patio, fridge and whatever you might wish! The lodge has also beautiful common spaces where you can hang out with other guests and the friendly host, Gevin. The lodge is immersed in an incredible garden full of amazing plants. Gevin is also an excellent natural guide who organises private tours of the natural reserves which we highly recommend! You will have the opportunity to see a lot of wild animals, beautiful and colored birds, to have a pic nic in the nature, swim in the ocean and have a great day!! Gevin is very passionate and motivated to give to his guests a great and unforgettable adventure!!

Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend. We did indeed. My family and I had such a great time at Wenys Country Lodge. The lodge is located in close proximity to either St. Lucia, where you can book a tour through the wetlands and see hippos and crocodiles, or to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park, a great park to see a bunch of different south african animals, but first and foremost the white rhino. The guided private tours through the park by Gavin were so laid back and chill, but didn't loose any of the adventure feelings you would want to have. We saw so many animals. Gavin really knows what he is doing! Not only the location of this lodge will leave you completly satisfied, but the lodge itself is beautiful. The rooms were clean and cosy and Jenny's garden was magnificent. I almost didn't want to go out, but rather stay there all day and read. The food was delicious throughout all courses and meals. The most amazing part about this lodge though, has to be the family. They quite literally open up their home and their hearts to each and every guest. Jenny, Gavin and Daniel will assure that everyone will feel welcomed and satisfied. We would love to come stay at Wendys Country Lodge again whenever we get to visit this lovely country!…

We had a fantastic stay at Wendys. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the gardens are like an oasis and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Jenny and Gavin were great hosts, and it was lovely to have a drink in the bar in the evening, followed by a delicious dinner. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay, and we may well be back!
