We stayed for 2 nights in the Garden Cottage and would highly recommend this and all of the other options at Anna's charming place. Greyton is a lovely place to relax and also has beautiful walking and cycling trails. The little town is a pleasure to wander around and includes an excellent supermarket for those of you who might be self catering.
Anna was a wonderful host who really makes herself available if you have any questions or requests. She made our stay all the better.

We stayed in Lavender Cottage for 4 nights. We loved the furnishings, although the arm chairs are definitely not for tall people. You are surrounded by huge trees that really gives you the country feel. Anna was so helpful and accommodating! We will definitely be back!!!
The cottage is located across from the Saturday market. What a lovely shopping experience!
Our visit also coincided with the annual Greyton Rose Fair with its 15 Open Gardens - Spectacular!
Greyton is such a rustic little town with wonderful places to shop and dine. Another must go to is: - Von Geusau Chocolates - the Maraschino cherry wedges are my personal favourite!

We spent a week in Anna's Garden Cottage and counted the days before leaving. What a huge disappointment. The room itself dark and dingy, situated in a overgrown dark creepy garden. I have never seen such a disgusting shower area, an absolute nightmare...horrid green walls, disgusting non slip mat and bathroom mat, with green towels that were so thin and had to last us our complete stay. We couldn't wait t leave and would have if it were for the fact that we had already paid upfront. The kitchen facility is almost non existent with a single bread knife to act as our cutting blade. No proper kettle we had to use a teapot to boil water. The place felt dirty and unkempt. We hated it! Such a big disappointment.

We booked on-line and paid in advance, hoping for a dog-friendly place for a few days. We were assured of a garden for our dog, but when we arrived we were horrified to see an overgrown, neglected piece of land, where, in the heat of summer, could be home to snakes etc. The cottage was very dark and dingy, with beds on either side of the main room, built into the walls like cupboards. The basin in the bathroom was so small, even washing one's face would be impossible. The little gas plate in the kitchen was really inadequate. We found another place, and just said goodbye to the cost of the first night. Great pity.

We stayed two nights in the Tree House and found it absolutely wonderful - magical.

It comprises one room, but there's plenty of space for a couple. The kitchen is minute, but has everything except an oven - we called ahead and then changed our plans for out first night's supper to something we could make on the gas stove.

The slipper bath is situated in front of floor to ceiling windows; you feel like you're bathing in the tree tops! The full moon was out, we switched off the lights. It was, well, magical! There's an outdoor shower too. Both bath and shower cannot be seen from down below; they're completely private.

There's a romantic little table indoors at which to eat by candlelight, and a spacious sheltered deck outside with four chairs. Down below there's a big braai area; it seems as though they've made the most of the space available so that if you have friends nearby you can invite them round for a braai.

The cottages are a 2min walk from the Saturday morning market (10am-midday) at which you can buy excellent quality things to eat. We bought delicious cheese, pesto, honey, lemon curd... You get the idea. There's also lovely veggies and fruit available at astonishingly low prices (bags of apples and naartjies for R5 each...)

It's also near, but not on Main Road along which there's a wide variety of restaurants. We ate at Searles and enjoyed a good, well priced meal.

At the information office (also on Main Road) you can get maps and descriptions of the walks in the town and the hikes in the nearby nature reserve.

Don't miss the Von Geusau Chocolate Factory. There's a range of tasters and a wide variety of hand made chocolate on offer. Expensive but oh, so good.

We thoroughly recommend the Tree House with just one caveat - if the wind blows, the house creaks and groans alarmingly - the tree trunks actually come through the house!

A weekend away at Anna's Place (book The Treehouse for a romantic stay high up in the trees) makes for peace, quiet and relaxation. Well furnished and quaint, it has a freestanding Victorian bath with a great view and and outdoor hot and cold shower.

We stayed in Mark Cottage of Anna's country accommodation over the weekend it was perfect all round. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable from the minute we arrived. Anna was very accommodating and made everything very easy for us.

The cottage itself was just big enough with a kitchen, bathroom and two double beds set back in alcoves. The kitchen had a gas stove, microwave and all the equipment necessary to self cater. The bathroom was very clean with lots of hot water.

We braaied both nights and everything we needed was provided. The outside braai area was very pretty with a canopy of solar powered fairy lights.

The cottages themselves are located right opposite the famous 'Saturday morning market'. They are also just down the road from the beginning of a number of hiking trails, these start at the Gobos picnic spot along Vlei street.

It is also a short walk to the local grocery store, the village pub and a number of restaurants including the Vias Deli and the Abbey Rose.

The cottage was extremely comfortable, clean and centrally located. We will definitely be back for another visit!

We did not know what to expect from a tree house in the middle of town. What a surprise! The moment you enter this magic garden you forget that you're actually in the middle of town, 20 meters away from the famous Greyton Saturday morning market. You have to pinch yourself to remind yourself that you're not somewhere in the jungle far from civilization.

The house consists of a large open living area that houses a small kitchenette, a four poster bed, a free standing bath overlooking the lush private garden through a floor-to-ceiling window, an outdoor shower and many comfortable chairs. An outside stoep overlooks the garden where you can enjoy your drinks, read a book and listen to the thousands of birds nesting in the trees. Downstairs is lovely braai area in an enclosed garden area surrounded by lush shrubs and trees.
Anna's cottages are earthy, quirky and interesting. If you're looking for Holiday-Inn style accommodation with manicured lawns and trimmed hedges, this place is not for you. If a huge natural garden and tastily decorated, slightly off-beat accommodation appeals to you, Anna's Cottages are meant for you - especially the tree house!

We'll definitely be back soon!

a treehouse in greyton?!! what a surprise awaited us, the treehouse is part of anna's collection of houses, your car is parked off street and the outside is grown with plants and trees and everything you can think of. the steps leads you to a small deck/stoep and a sliding door into the house. here you will find a small basig, microwave, gas plates, all your crockery and cutlery, bar fridge, if you had enough of greyton's quisene, you can make your own food or just have braai outside. the double bed has comforter and a down duvet, in a small cupboard you will find a tv with basic channels, a slipper bath looking out into the garden but also part of the room, outside shower, seperate toilet what more to you want it feels like you are in africa!!
