We stayed at The Post House for a couple of days, and all in all it was lovely, there are just a few things that need improvement.

To our surprise they do not have tv’s in any of their rooms, and as the owner commented when we noticed this upon check in “you will survive”, yes we did survive, however in today’s day and age I would suggest they make this much clearer on their website and booking platforms.

Wifi is really not great, we managed to connect but couldn’t do much more than send w/apps.

Rooms are comfy with the usual amenities and good aircon.

They can be highly commended on their staff who were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially Lucy, nothing is too much trouble and every request was dealt with at lightening speed.

We spent quite a bit of time by the pool and this is one area that needs a bit of attention - the entire area needs a really good clean. They do tidy, sweep, open umbrellas and put out towels but generally only sweep the noticeable areas, there is quite a bit of dead leaves and plants gathered in the corners that need to be addressed.

Overall we had a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay.

You are met with a feeling of calm from the moment you step through the gate at the Post House.

We were greeted at the front desk by the lovely Louise. She promptly checked us in, showed us to our room and welcomed us to the Post House Boutique Hotel. Everything from that moment on was great. The hospitality, the room and the breakfast - I love my food! With its central location, the Post House is the ideal location to investigate the little town of Greyton with its lovely shops, restaurants and gallery.

Highly recommend!

A wonderful soulful hotel. Highly recommend. We arrived at nighttime to load shedding. No problem, as the owners thoughtfully put battery globes in the lamps of all the rooms and communal areas. Coffee Pod, the inhouse cafe, served delicious fare in sealed glass jars as per Covid- 19 protocol.

This hotel has a good location in the centre of the small town.

Upon checking in the staff insisted on seeing my ID even though I booked with Booking.com and paid in full and called minutes prior to my arrival.

We booked a Deluxe room and was shown to room 10. The room was smaller and darker than expected and the bathroom was tiny. We had to stand inside the small Victorian bath to take a shower and had to tuck the shower curtain into the bath. The toiletries provided looked dirt cheap and some had handwritten stickers. The towels were frayed and felt like sandpaper. I will post a pic of the piece of soap to illustrate the lack of hospitality/generosity.

The room had none of the four star touches I was expecting. The rate excludes breakfast. There are no tissues, no flavoured tea, no gown, no slippers, no rusks or cookies, no stationary and no clean pool. For the rate of a four star stay which usually include some or all of the above you get a small, dark room with a comfortable bed. You also get a small bathroom with a bath inside the shower and sub-standard towels and toiletries. You also get A/C, a small micowave, toaster and kettle and enough coffe for two cups each. Don’t expect any nice touches.

The outdoor seating is cute but you share it with everyone. The pool is green and quite small considering the number of rooms. As with all the four star amenities - dont expect mosquito screens or mosquito repellant - keep the windows closed from dusk and use the A/C.

There are many country towns and many other places to stay which offer better value than The Post House.

Your repsonse is really over the top and exaggerated which is a shame. It certianly stands out to all the wonderful reviews that constantly come in which gives a good indication of how we truly are recieved by our departing guests.

Friends and family have been arriving from all over the world to celebrate Richards and Wayne’s Wedding Day. My partner and I have arrived from Ireland and from the very first day we got such a warm and friendly welcoming from Louise and Lucy. These two Ladies are the legends comes to customer service, very high standards to deliver each request from the customers. They are very hard working and super, super friendly Ladies. Each day these to legends were making my day and not only mine, even more beautiful and full of joy and happiness. The deserve the best, they know exactly how to do the greatest service and make sure customers are satisfied and happy. I have met also the owner Janet and another member of the team, Karen. Really nice, friendly and very positive two Ladies. Hotel itself has amazing location, very nice and bright rooms, great bed size and very clean. You can find a lovely swimming pool and are for kids and adults to catch up. Other Ladies who are the cleaners and helpers in the kitchen are also friendly and very professional. I can highly recommend The Post House in Greyton, hidden, little spot in the middle of nowhere.

We stayed at the post house for a weekend away in Feb 2021. The guesthouse is perfectly located in the village. The property is maintained to the highest standards. Little details everywhere make you feel like you have stepped into a different world. Be sure to check out the bar for early evening drinks before you walk down to one of the local restaurants for a relaxing dinner. Janet and John (the owners) have done an amazing job of making your stay feel like a real breakaway!

We've stayed at the Post House on a few occasions and they never disappoint. The owner pays attention to detail, has managed to choose and train their staff so well and the room with all it's bells and whistles feels like home away from home. We always stay in the honeymoon suite which is spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and very private.

The bar is beautiful and very well stocked. The only disappointment was that the wind was too bad for the indoor fire to be lit, because it's a treat having a drink at the cozy fireplace.

The added bonus this time around was the Coffee POD that offered a free coffee and morning starter. We did not expect to see a whole selection of creative and super tasty treats to choose from!

Another bonus is that the Post House is so centrally situated that you can walk anywhere in town, everything is a stones throw away. I cannot commend Janet and her team enough, we will be back soon without a doubt! This is a must visit and must stay when you're in Greyton.

The Post House is a very pretty and charming hotel. The Proprietor Janet warmly welcomed us on arrival and was very helpful with information and in booking various restaurants for the three nights we were there. We stayed in the family cluster of 3 rooms (all ensuite) which suited my family of four perfectly. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet (no TVs) and spacious. The buffet breakfast was tasty with a good selection of (mainly) cold and hot items. We certainly enjoyed having drinks and a swim in the hotel's pool after one particularly hot day of exploring the area. The Hotel's pub is a delight and so cosy. We certainly intend returning to Greyton and staying at the Post Hotel will definitely be on our agenda.

We stayed at The Post House Hotel in the first week of Jan. The booking process was completely seamless, which is always an indication of good service. The Hotel is situated centrally, which meant we could walk wherever we wanted to go. The highlight is certainly the Beautiful Gardens and lush Pool Area. The Staff are amazing and strongly observed all Covid-19 Protocols. There is good attention to detail in terms of the rooms / decor. We were however not fans of the two bathrooms in our suite - one was completely cramped and the other had shower water pressure, which was equivalent to showering in the mist. Not sure if this was as a result of an ongoing water conservation focus. We would definitely stay again and we are mindful that this quaint country town is rustic and not London or New York.

We stopped over in Greyton and we absolutely loved the Post House Hotel. Comfy beds, pillows, a bath for me so I could defrost on a freezing snowy capped mountain night, and they have heaters as well so our room was deliciously warm. Cute breakfast room, coffee pod which the best coffee. Hosts were so charming, helpful & kind. We want to return for a few more days. We loved the town of Greyton.

we have 5 rooms that are accessable with a wheelchair. Our main builidng is unfortunately not accessable as you have a short flight of steps to climb, we can however serve our guest in a wheelchair in their room or the beautiful garden as these area's are accessable by wheelchair.
