I booked a stay in Feb 2020 and based on the pandemic, I canceled the trip and reservation. Since then I'm, struggling to to get my deposit back. This is now 9 month later. The reservation manager has one excuse after the other and promising my refund. I tried to get a response form their CFO and this person didn't even consider to respond.. I'm still keep my hopes up that I will see my money one day, but I can't recommend this hotel based on my experience and their customer relations. This are tough times for us all and not giving me my money back is very disgraceful. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Great location close to Comporta. We had a lovely two night stay. Rooms were modern and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall great experience but for dinner on the first day. We were exited to experience the wine paring Saint Dennis menus. What a disappointment. Over priced and scarce on substance. Well worth missing. However, breakfast was an absolute pleasure well worth recommending.

We read several reviews on here after booking our weekend trip to Quinta da Comporta but thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt and see for ourselves. I can confirm that everything read in previous reviews is still the case. Perhaps management should take notice of the customer feedback and make some changes.......? It's a shame as it could be a five star place but it lets itself down through the bad service which is not worth the high price tag. - Food in the restaurant incredibly overpriced and service awful. On top of being rushed through our meal my husbands main came stone cold, we sent it back, it came back again tepid. No apology from the server or when we paid the bill. - The breakfast service is slow and anything ordered off the menu such as eggs/pancakes arrived cold both days. Too few servers for too many people - (not the servers fault as they clearly try their best) The hotel management is aware of how many guests it has and should arrange the right amount of staff to accomodate accordinlgy. - The system with towels and cards is incredibly irritating. Even upon check out the girl on reception asked where our pool towles were - Why expect clients to bring dirty pools towlels to check out?!! - Lastly, it's a small thing but upon checkout not asked how our stay was or thanked for coming. Politeness and pleasantries go a long way! I cannot fault the design of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The main building where dinner and breakfast is served is goregous and you can see the attention to detail in the interior design. The views of the sunsets are also incredible. All in all we enjoyed our stay however it's hard not to to leave feeling a little ripped off by the high price and lack of service.

Beautiful place, perfectly decorated situated in a privileged location facing the rice fields where the sun sets every evening. The rooms and beds are so big, we were delighted. Dinner was great, breakfast was ok, perhaps not 5/star worthy. The rooms need better sound proofing though. You'd think this is the number one priority when you build a hotel, but so many miss it again and again. The service and staff were disastrous. Having been at other boutique hotels / 5-star resorts, this one has a long way to go. Room was not ready at check-in (yes, covid19, but then if you're open you need to keep your standards), they forgot to leave a bath mat, had to call for it, took 1h30 to arrive, room service knocked on our door even though I had the "no disturb" sign up (almost woke up my sleeping baby). No room service (unexpected), nothing in the mini bar (covid19 related? if so, please explain that to your guests). I had asked for food for my 1y old baby and they never provided it. Pool Towel service with cards is nonsense, I ended up with 2 towels and 4 cards at the end somehow - it does not work. Buggy service to and from car should exist at all times, not just for check in / check out. No shuttle service to the beach (why?) even though they told us on arrival there was a private beach just some minutes away... anyway, good intentions, but it's not there yet. I hope they solve it because the place is worth a high end service.

Amazing Pool and great view NEw hotel,... 5-6 things to do to go from Good to great and deliver service according to its rate For example 1. Improve Sense of arrival At the gate and at reception. more welcoming at the gate and At reception more welcoming/ treat and better explanation of hotel amenities and surroundings 2. Towel service needs to be unlimited, get rid of card system 3. Restaurant. Beautiful place. Menu way below minimum standards at dinner and at the pool. Easy to improve. Need new chef? Glass to protect from wind and hence greater use of terrace? 4. Service. Nice people but unprofessional. No service really. Need training and better managers 5. Concierge for local reservations. Poor if any!, 6. Transport service to the beach almost non existing. Need to be owned by the hotel and permanent 5-6 improvements easy to do to be a great experience at an incredible place with a great pool and view
