The rooms were basic but clean. The service of the staff was excellent with wide spread for breakfast and dinner. As we only stayed here for one night, the room didnt bother us but it might not be a suitable hotel for those who expect a lot from hotel rooms!

Stayed here for one night for the turtle watching. Rooms are basic but very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful. They also have a good breakfast. Overall good value for money.

I stayed there with my family (wife and 2 kids of 8 and 6 years respectively) last week. My rental car ran out of petrol by the time we reached the hotel (7.30pm). The entire town has only one petrol station and they had not received petrol stock for last 5 days...hence we were stranded, as nearest station was 30 ks away in the town of sur. The receptionist / co owner of the hotel Mr Subish was "god send" and extremely helpful! He kept on saying "don't worry sir".... He first drove us (in his car) all the way to Ras Al Jinx turtle reserve, in time for our 8.30pm tour. Then he went to sur, bought a petrol container, filled it with 10L of petrol and drove back to us by 10.30pm, picked us from the turtle reserve and took us back to the hotel. He then again took us at 4.30am for

Yes it's a 2* hotel so don't expect too much but....it's amazing value for money and, really, a brilliant place to stay. Comfortable firm beds, spacious rooms and ours even had a balcony with stunning views. It's basic (of course) but clean. Can't comment on the food as we took our own. The staff are truly lovely, especially Sadesh and the guy who assists on the front desk. We stay in many expensive hotels, but have nothing negative to say about this one. Accept that it's a 2* hotel and then enjoy what it provides for an amazing price. Also it's right next to the historic old RAH runway, last used 75 years ago, so an added bit of history! We visited the turtles at RAJ from the guest house and it's just a 20 minute trip. A real bargain and nice place to stay!

We stayed one night in the Ras Al Hadd guest house. The place is fine and offers good diner and breakfast. We came in the region to see the turtles but unfortunately we didnt suceed to book the tour at the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. We asked the reception to do it for us but they answered «Dont worry, there is the same thing at Ras Al Hadd, nearby the hotel». We accept this excursion for 5 OMR each. It was a big mistake, it was not what we expected at ALL. A non speaking English «guide»  came to pick up us at the hotel, drove us and parked on the beach (IN the turtles area, 50 meters far from the sea). It seems that he was not a professional at all: he showed us a first turtle with his camera flash and suggest us to take some pictures. We felt the turtle was disturbed by
