Have you ever just wanna take a break from the busy city life and seek out an oasis in middle of nowhere? Well Agama Lodge is just that a majestic Oasis.

The food is so delicious you forget about your diet and go for seconds. The most friendly employees with the brightest of smiles😊

Oh and that infinity swimming pool is so compelling you can not resist but take a dip as you cool off from the desert’s heat. The wifi in the main area works perfectly fine which gives you a chance to share beautiful pictures with friends and family.

The rooms offer the the best of both worlds, you are met with luxury and you have an option to either sleep in doors or sleep under the stars with a rooftop sky-bed is is spectacular as you can lay down with your partner and make thousands of wishes upon shooting stars and fall asleep under the Milky Way.

Agama is perfect fro Families, Friends and couples.

A special sound out to the reservations teams and Cadeesha for making my dream holiday possible. I will definitely come back again.

Yours truly;
Memory Khodises

So I stayed here with some friends and I have to say this place is amazing. We were heading to Sossusvlei and found this place the roomes are great and very modern with rooftop terraces with chairs and a queen side bed up there to watch the stars. Inside is an expansive bathroom with a very cool shower with a bench and rain showerhead amazing fluffy towels and washcloths( something I rarely see in four and five star hotels in Namibia) the beds are amazing with plush linens and amazing pillows and very nice mattresses.... I cant say enough about the staff and management as it's hard to get this quality of customer service we recieved at Agama Lodge we also received really good Dinner and breakfast included in the room rate.... the food and beverages were as good as the staff. Do yourselves a favor and stat here we loved it so much we stayed an extra night just because of the great experience we had on the first night there.

We had the most wonderful time there. The facilities are great, with the most beautiful infinity pool with a view. The rooms are big and comfortable and the food served at the restaurant is simply delicious. You can feel extra care into everything. The staff though is what really brings it all together. They made us feel at home.

I chose this as a base for visiting Sossusvlei (it takes about 40 minutes to drive to the park gate at Sesriem) and wasn't expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with the bed on the roof being a nice feature. You pay extra if you want the bed to made so you can sleep there but it's a great place just to lie back
and look at the stars with no light pollution.

The bathroom facilities were high quality with a superb 'rainshower' style shower.

The staff were excellent - really helpful and friendly - and the area around the pool and the main building was well furnished and relaxing. The buffet food was of a high standard and the chefs appeared rightly proud of their efforts.

The only improvements could be slightly better air-conditioning, and a sheet needs to be provided as an alternative to a duvet.

These are minor points and I would definitely recommend Agama Lodge.

This is a very nice lodge with beautiful grounds and excellent chalets. There's a restaurant and bar on the premises as well as an infinity pool! Our chalet was quite spacious and well-appointed. WiFi worked most of the time but that's not why we were there! Agama's location is also excellent - it's about 30 km from Solitaire and a bit longer from Sesiriem, It has easy access to the dunes Soussusvlei and Deadvlei as well as the Naukluft National Park where once can see Mountain Zebras. The restaurant manager (Wimpie) went out of his way to accommodate our dietary restrictions (vegetarian). The price is also reasonable.

Breathtaking views by the pool. Amazing service by staff in particular we really enjoyed talking to Ronald who helped us with everything and also gave us really good advice about the different attraction in Namibia. The chalets are spacious with comfy beds but the highlight of this lodge is the roof of all chalets have beds were you can spend the night looking at the stars.

We punctured our vehicle 80km from Agama, and when we arrived at the Lodge we saw they did tiire repairs. Even though we weren't a guest staying at the lodge, they took amazing care of us, we were able to buy a fantastic lunch, excellent value for money, while appreciating the incredible pool, views and nearby wildlife. The host was extremely kind and I would certainly recommend this place on the service and staff alone.

We loved the Agama Lodge. The location is stunning, and the common areas are really well thought out. The infinity pool with the mountains as backdrop is beautiful, as are all the outdoor seating areas. The staff are wonderful - really friendly and helpful. Special mention has to go to Jakuar (sp?) who was just about the nicest person we met working at any hotel during our month-long trip.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was gorgeous and spacious, and we were incredibly grateful as I think three of us might have been rather squashed in a standard chalet.

The lodge is about a 90 min drive to Sossusvlei, which does feel quite a long way on gravel roads. But if you're just coming for two nights with one day at Sossusvlei, that's fine. If you're planning to go to Sossuvlei more than once, I'd probably advise staying nearer the park gate.

The one thing that would have made our stay 5-star would have been better dinners. The food was fine, but there was no variety. (On our third night, the starter was a mixture of the two soups I'd had on nights one and two. And my husband had identical oryx starters and mains on all three nights. There are only two choices for each course, with a set desert). With more imagination and variety in the cooking, Agama would be a truly outstanding lodge.

This is a lovely lodge both in terms of its setting and also the staff. Don’t be put off that you can see it from the road. It feels completely private. There is a gorgeous, large infinity pool. We stayed in a delux villa close to reception. It was huge with a big bed, writing desk, settee, wacky wooden furniture you could hang things from, aircon, coffee maker, safe, hairdryer but no fridge. We had wifi in the room. Through the patio doors there is outside space with table, settee and sun bed, then upstairs is a sun terrace with a double bed 2 chairs and a table. The standard rooms were smaller but looked as good. You could park next to your room.

Food was excellent and buffet style - you could eat inside or outside.
Land belonging to the lodge stretches right into the mountains and they use neighbour’s land on the other side of the road to access sand dunes. There are no fences in this area so wild life roams free. We had an excellent sundowner with Lance, seeing blue Wildebeest, mountain zebra and oryx. Next morning we went with Helen for a morning drive into the dunes, all the more dramatic due to a thunder storm and strong wind.

Hi, it is totally feasible to drive without a 4x4 up to Agama campsite. The roads are totally fine (a bit bump but ok). Actually in whole Namibia (Etosha to Swakopmund to Sesriem to Windhoek), the only place we used 4x4 was in the last 1km next to Deadsvlei. And if you don't have one, you can easily get a 4x4 transportation arriving there.

The dunes are about 50km away. And yes you can, like us, organize your travel by yourself. I here from other people, they drive to the dunes at 3 or 4 o'clock in the night, then climb up the "big mama" in 1,5h to see the sunup in the morning. Feel free to ask the hotel reception. They know it exactly.

Dear Goetz, Thank you very much for your enquiry. Pardon my response in English - Agama River Camp only has 2 types of accommodation being the 10 guest rooms (they are called chalets not bungalows) and then the campsite where you bring along your own camping gear & equipment. Regrettably they do not offer any activities as guests usually go with their own vehicles. Best regards, Yolande
