Run down and decrepit. Book elsewhere. Was promised a refund of my late cancellation fee. Which of course has not been processed despite them not having the room I booked available. Simply No. If you are thinking of staying here please consider carefully.

We had a reservation somewhere else and when we got there it was nothing like it had been promised. What good luck for us as we ended up moving to Daisy! It’s tucked away on top of a hill with a beautiful infinity pool. Fantastic breakfast buffet and restaurant open all day. They have free cooking lessons and other activities available. We are a little bit older and out of shape so we rented a scooter to get around but if you are fit you can manage the hill up and down no problem. They have free shuttles to the beach throughout the day and one that will take you to the night market. I was a bit leary of the outside bathroom but it was fabulous!

The pool villas at the hilltop has a stunning panoramic view of Duong Duong area. There are four pool villa rooms and the pool are divided into half hence two room shared a half pool. There were no other guest during our stay so we had the villa pool all to ourselves. The resort also boast a huge swimming pool with a panoramic view. The pool view and garden view rooms are built on a terrace landscape surrounded with naturally lush greenery. Only a few standard pool view rooms facing directly the pool which is on the same flat level as the resort facilities so you can avoid taking the stairs up and down your room. We stayed in a bigger villa room which is facing the villa pool so we will just slide the veranda door open and jump into the pool from our room. Our kids had so much fun because of the pool villa so we just spent our 2 nights lazing and eating within the resort.

I really love this resort because I like nature! It is small with 45 room houses. Each house has a veranda with a hammock, chairs and table for relaxation, the rooms of medium sizes, cozy decorations, an interesting outdoor bathroom. The resort has everything you need: outdoor swimming pool, spa and massage, gym, restaurant with very tasty food, shuttle bus to town center and beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. 1 thing you shold be aware of: there are many mosquitoes at dark because it is on the mountain. But with long pants and long sleeves, you will survive and still enjoy the resort very much.

The service was very good in spite of the staff's limited english. Everybody was helpful and anxious to please. The room was basic but perfectly adequate, in spite of being sceptical at first, the open air bathroom was good. The hotel was situated about 10 minutes walk from the main street and another 10-15 minutes to the main part of the town. The surroundings were very peaceful, almost jungle-like. The breakfast was very good with both hot and cold food, European and Vietnamese. This hotel was at the cheaper end of the market but no worse for that. I can really recommend it, not so good for families with children but that's not always a disadvantage! The best about it? The layout, position and staff. The least good? Too short a stay! (2 weeks).

Friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are clean and food is good. Just off the main road so you get tranquility, but also conveniently within walking distance to restaurants. Nice views. Just avoid the spa on premises. Total rip off, that’s why I’m only giving it 3 stars.

I really cannot say anything negative about this lovely place. The staff are lovely, their level of English is more than acceptable and much better than my viatnemese! Had an issue initially regarding accessing vegan food (loads of veggie options) but once explained there was something every day. Rooms very clean and well maintained, no issues with vermin like at other hotels. Nice pools and all kept gardens. Would highly recommend hiring the mopeds and getting out and exploring the island.

This hotel was extremely disappointing, especially after reading the reviews beforehand. I stayed in Vietnam for 1 month, this hotel was the most expensive and the worst in terms of service. I will start with negative points: 1. Management dishonestly - I wanted to cut my trip early (see point 3 below). The manager on duty promised to fully refund 3 nights - I had only paid for them by credit card the day before. They promised to me in person that that they would 100% refund me. I have seen NONE of it being returned to my credit card. I have tried repeatedly to contact them about it but they have ignored my emails and will not return my phone calls. It is now being handled by my credit card company. 2. Staff may seem 'friendly' initially but after a few days there they started to irritate me. Trying to speak to me when I was having my breakfast quietly. Also on 2 occassions they phoned my room in the late evening while I was sleeping for mundane topcis that could wait until the next day. A staff member also opened the door to my apartment while I was sleeping one morning. 3. One could keep amused at the hotel for about 1 day and after that you need a taxi or a motor bike to go anywhere. I spent my first day relaxing around the hotel and having spa treatments. On the next day I wanted to explore the island and had a really bad day. The hotel booked a driver for me for 1 day to take me to different places. The driver was repeatedly checking phone and messaging while driving which made me extremely uncomfortable. In the end I cut short the outing as I did not feel safe. I don't know what the relationship was of this driver to the hotel but when I informed him I was cutting the trip short, he must've contacted the hotel and a staff member there was questioning me why I wanted to go back to the hotel earlier. I felt very much 'monitored' which made me uncomfortable.. I decided to leave the hotel 3 days earlier (see 1 above). 4. What I did see of the island was so disappointing after the reviews I had read. The filth and plastic pollution is very much noticeable. Small areas seem to be kept clear for tourists but wandering just a bit outside of that and it's pretty bad e.g. Sao Beach was disappointment. There is only a small part that is clear of rubbish where the tourists are. Probably only about 400 metres maximum. Outside of that it is filthy. You cannot just go for a nice walk around the bay as I was trying to do. I went to a traditional fishing village which was interesting but again, so much plastic in the water. 5. The options at breakfast were good but I did not like the cats wandering around. I found it extremely unhygienic as they sat on shelves where plates were. 6. At the weekend there was a lot of noise from nearby resorts with very loud music that seemed to readily travel. It was quiet before the weekend. Good points: 1. I enjoyed the spa treatments - massage and facial. The staff in the spa were very nice. 2. The gardens around the grounds are beautiful. 3. The room was good. I had a room with views over the pool area which was nice.
