Stayed here two nights and I was happy with the overall experience. My guide "Kennedy" was an excellent scout and a good companion. The hut was clean and comfortable. The food was OK. Indoor toilet and showers (one indoor one outdoor) were appreciated. Friendly staff. The only negative was the myriad of mosquitos, which was not an issue at two other camps I had stayed.

Probably our most stressful drive in our 3 weeks in Botswana. Drove in from Kasane direction then out to Savute. The roads are a nightmare. The road to Savute has a long patch of very deep sand for 2km about 2/3 way there, and lots of patches in between. We got stuck once, wrecked a rim and our friend lost their sump protector. Tyres need to be low low - not for the inexperienced. Lots of newbies got stuck multiple time on these roads. Allow 15-20kph for most stretches and plenty of time to dig out .......

I don’t think a person could get a better campsite on the Chobe than Camp Linyanti. The campsites all overlook a portion of the Chobe river. We enjoyed our spot which was RSV1 however the best spot is Campsite 1&2 - they are next to each other so if you going with a few book them together. They have a direct view over the river and the hippo are straight in from of you. Also clear views of bird life. Campsite 3 would rank next and then RSV2 as it pans over the river. What I did appreciate was the closeness of the water tap as well as the gentlemen who came to clean the fireplace and bin - they were exceptionally helpful. The ablutions are fine - maybe needs another light as the one light doesn’t give enough to cover all showers and toilets. We had a mishap with our booking

Having had amazing time in Delta was less lucky with game here. Amazing position and comfortable camp. Guide did his best to find animals but drove scarily fast at times, must have been rally driver in previous life! Host always looked unhappy but despite that everything ran smoothly. Perfectly positioned to watch elephants and listen to hippos and good bird watching. Our tent didn't have great views but had bath outside for romantic honeymooners! (Would have preferred view!)

On the positive, Linyanti camp offered the best views campsites can offer of the river with resident hippo. We had elephant visit our campsite and it was wonderful and non threatening. Birdlife is exceptional with many special sightings of fish eagles and so many more. Ablutions were clean but no hot water. The downside was the blanket of mosquitoes - take plenty precaution. Game viewing was also a little disappointing with thick bush and apparently not the best time of year for game.

The road out to Linyanti is very sandy. Be prepared to drive in low 4x4. At dusk and dawn there are walls of mosquitoes. The sunset is lovely over the marsh and you can hear hippos in the distance from your camp. There are zero facilities like lighting, warm water etc... but there are toilets. For internationals in the whole of the park it is US$50/person/night for camping, which is steep. Plus park fees. In my opinion skip Linyanti and spend extra time in Kasane or Savute.

We spent 3 nights at Linyanti. It was a wonderful place to stay to see the animals. We saw everything we wanted to see and more. The birds were also a treat and unexpected. The views from your tent over the delta are wonderful. Staff was terrific always wanting to make your stay great. While we are staying in tents, these tents are permanent and very nice.

Linyanti was our last and final camp site in Botswana and we couldn't have chosen a better place to close out this truly amazing holiday. What a beautiful view over the river. Literally hundreds of elephants, hippo's buffalo's and even 2 lions. There's not much more you can ask for. The only thing we didn't like at all was the road coming from Savuti. We didn't get stuck but you really need balls to get through it :)

Beautiful lodge and accommodation in permanent tents, great guides and excellent elephant, lion and wild dog sighting. Good value for Botswana and they provide warm ponchos for the chilly morning drives. No night drives, good food and lovely river front location.
