Our family of 4 visited Mombasa from 26 April 2021-4 May 2021 , eventually escaped the lockdown. I don't even know where to start with this review. Due to the pandemic only Palm Beach is operating in Mombasa , we were originally booked at Neptune Paradise & upgraded to Palm Beach Boutique. When we arrived we were upgraded to a sea view room by Mary at Reception , which was awesome as we were close to pool & restaurant & bar area , about 50m & about 100m from the amazing Galu/Diani Beaches. The service by the Reception staff , the bar staff - Steven/Emmanuel/Justus in particular , the dining room staff , the room cleaning staff , gardening staff was absolutely impeccable. What was also impressive is that the resident Mngr , Bharat was always visible & personally got involved when we needed some assistance with hot water in our room. In minutes he was aware of the matter & when we went to dinner he introduced himself & apologised for the inconvenience. He helped us sort out a Dr's appt at the Hotel for our return covid tests , he personally phoned the Dr & also saw us off when we left , what more could we ask for. I'm sure that's why the service is so great as the Mngr leads by example. On the food side we were trying to think of a below par meal we had & we could not find fault with any meal we had . The way the food was presented at every meal was impressive. The 1s few days we had a la carte' due to low occupancy & as numbers picked up it was changed to buffet which gave a variety & different options at every meal. The chefs & serving staff were also great. From 10am in the morning the bar area is open & mid afternoon snacks , tea/coffee also available . Snacks generally some fruit , biscuits & cake. As with many beach side resorts there were monkeys around looking for an opportunity to grab some food but the staff watched them quite closely. In terms of facilities there are tennis courts , table tennis & pool tables in bar area , a tv which had the football channels available which was great for us as avid followers. The pool is huge & surrounds entire bar area ranging from a kids pool & gets deeper at various points which are clearly marked all around the pool area. There is also windsurfing lessons & a diving centre available at additional costs plus a few other facilities I have not mentioned. Every facility we used was in good condition. The accommodation was also top class , nice spacious rooms with air con which is must needed in Mombasa due to high humidity. A big bathroom with 2 basins which was very convenient , big shower , mosquito net , a fridge , safe & hairdryer. Tea.coffee making facilities as well & water replenished every day. Rooms were well maintained & opened onto a big balcony with a couch/bed & a table & chairs. The gardens were also well maintained & lush green , guess due to the odd thunder showers that occur unexpectedly. The 3 Neptune Hotels are situated next to each other & share the facilities between them including a Spa. They situated on Galu/Diani beaches. Now I understand why these beaches are rated the best in Kenya & 5th best in the world , the sand is so soft & the beaches very wide. One is able to swim in front of the Hotel , further up & down from the Hotel one would need some reef shoes. Generally can swim at high & low tide & beaches quite clean. There are a few beach boys around who are obviously desperate for business due to the pandemic , but generally they were not a problem & backed off when we said no thanks. We did take an unplanned snorkeling trip with Robert on a glass bottomed boat , $15pp for about 3hrs & 2 different snorkeling spots. All our other excursions we used Holaa Safaris , Shikeli is owner , check them out , very professional & reasonable. If you arranging excursions try to stay on the South Coast near Diani as it's it's quite a trip to the North Coast & will take at least 2hrs , crossing the creek by ferry etc As far as transport is concerned there are many forms available , taxis operating inside the Hotel grounds , Paul as well as outside and motorbikes & Tuk Tuks. We took a Tuk Tuk to Diani Shopping Centre , about 5-6kms away , for the experience & some shopping , cost was $10 return for 2 Tuk Tuks which the Mngr Bharat arranged for us , was fun. Motorbikes are also available outside Hotel. On the shopping front the on site Curio shop at Neptune Village Hotel next door to Palm Beach is very competitive , in fact we paid less for t shirts than we paid at the roadside stalls and the quality was better , they also have card facilities. I certainly highly recommend Palm Beach Hotel , certainly a wonderful experience , our first trip to Mombasa and Kenya

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is a perfect place for a getaway during these trying times as it allows an escape from everyday life. There is no complain about the service; the staff was incredibly polite and courteous. The food was decadent and we were spolied for choice. The variety stretched along the buffet table with plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The kids had a splendid time at the pool, they didn't want to leave. There is a wonderful lounge in the middle of the pool where we relaxed under the stars and had a chilled drink. It was a pleasure to enter the sea and walk on the soft white sand. Our rooms were spacious and clean with a wonderful bathroom with his and her sinks. The hotel is very eco friendly as each room has a solar panel and there are glass bottles in every room to reduce plastic. We had a fantastic time at Neptune Palm and would definitely look forward to going back.

The service from front desk all the way to catering, housekeeping was brilliant. The managers & staff were very good & polite & courteous. Good covid protocols were in place. Room was quite big & comfortable with a nice big balcony. Could use all the facilities of the 3 hotels. Good clean swimming pool & the beach was just awesome, hugh stretches of fine sandy Food was well catered for & had good veg options. Thanks to the headchef Dharampal. We had a great stay & would surely recommend this place. Not too crowded & just right in this covid times.Monkeys were a bit of a nuisance.

As a Boutique Hotel, our expectations were little high in terms of ambiance. Were disappointed with the main restaurant decor, furniture, etc. Food was nice and the staff were friendly. Location of the resort is nice. It is on Galu beach where the sand is very smooth and white. Going down the steps to the beach, there is no rail on either side of the wall to hold onto and one can fall if not careful. Also there is no ramp for a wheelchair person which needs to be looked into by the Management of the Resort. There are 3 adjoining resort next to each other. Neptune Paradise, Neptune Village and Neptune Palm Boutique. I would recommend either Neptune Paradise or Village to stay as it is more lively. The Gardens were well kept Overall the stay was very nice
