Our two night stay here was absolute perfection. The food and kitchen staff are the best!!! The rooms are private, comfortable, and all with view of a wildlife watering hole. The excursions are comfortable and informative. I’d certainly stay here again.
We loved this lodge very much. The location is superbe, staff (Emily, Justice, Anna and the owners) are great! The really take care of you and you feel at ease. The only negative point is the wifi that you can only access in the restaurant- this can be tricky if you come from a country's and company's culture where even though you are on leave, it is expected to check emails. It is very reliable though! However, we experienced this with many other 4-5-star-lodges in Namibia, especially if they are in Nature Reserve. We also recommend the sunset and bushman painting tour! The lodge is well equipped, modern and fits greatly into its surroundings. The wind is quite loud but this is always the case in Namibia in winter, so it is not the lodge's fault. We found it quite soothing actually, just like part of being in nature. We would love to be back at some time in the future- and enjoy the golf kart rides to the bungalows or a late night stroll of about 5-10 minutes to the bungalow and spotting the Zebras drinking.…
Spitzkoppen Lodge is in a class of its own, not only because of the superb accommodation, fine dining experience (even breakfast) and professional staff. From the moment you are welcomed and assisted to unpack by the ever friendly and helpful staff, till the regretful morning that you have to leave, you are surrounded by and immersed in majestic rock formations, no matter what you do. From seeing the sun rise from your comfortable and clean chalet, to breakfast, hiking around the area, enjoying sundowners with amazing sunsets around the pool or after a game drive, keep your camera ready, there is a surprise around every corner.
The lodge is nestled in the shadows of the Spitzkoppe, which a group of bald granite peaks, which is a natural wonder. We were only there one night but enjoyed walking among the rocks and swimming in the beautiful rock pool. The accommodation great, particularly as we could lie in bed and watch the sun rise over the mountains and turn them from hulking dark formations into glowing orange shapes. Really gorgeous.
We stayed at Spitzkoppen Lodge and were immediately amazed by the place. All guests sleep in beautiful, design and very comfortable tents. The lodge is divided between the guests’ tents facing East for sunrise and the dinning room and pool facing the West. Needless to say that the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular! The food served is delicious, quite sophisticated and the best we had when in Namibia. The staff is really kind and attentive, which makes the stay even more perfect. We did a sunset tour with on of the lodge’s guide who showed us some Bushmen paintings before serving the best sunsets apero. All in all, a wonderful experience and I really hope to be back one day!
