The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom toilet, bidette and bathtub need renewal and as persons of 70 years it is dangerous to take a shower in the bathtub. Service and personal is excellent and friendly. Lots of game. A very pleasant stay and be adviced to stay for two nights minimum to experience all.

The game lodge offered an exhilarating game drive experience that left us in awe of Africa's wildlife. The knowledgeable guides made the safari unforgettable with their keen insights and tracking skills. However, the dining options were a letdown for vegetarians, as the menu lacked variety and creativity for plant-based diets. Lunch was incredibly expensive! Game is plentiful and the the wildlife encounters were exceptionalUnfortunately the rhino orphanage was closed in the time we were there, a great pity that we were not informed when booking.

I Stay with my family one night at Mount Etjo. I just can recommand this place: wonderfull, historic and a wonderfull game reserve with a lot of elephants, antilopes and so many other animals. Excellent moment for the dinner with the fire, the grill and a smiling staff. Thank you ... I will be back as soon as possible!

What a wonderful accommodation! Very nice, spacious room with jacuzzi (costs N$200 to use) and shower. The staff was incredibly friendly. It is a great property where we were able to spot many animals on a game drive including: hippos, elephants, roan antelope, giraffes. We went to the lion feed. It is a unique experience to see these animals so close. You can see the hierarchy and interaction. The fire place where dinner is served is insanely beautiful and cozy. The food is super delicious. In the afternoon you can have coffee/tea and eat cake under the tree.

Mt Ejo Safari Lodge, handcrafted in the middle of the bush, is a wonder to behold. This lodge is a reminder of the golden age of travel, where you would not be surprised to see Ernest Hemingway sitting at the bar. From the moment we arrived. all the staff were helpful and provided service with a smile. The manager on duty, Simone, was there to attend to your every need in a attentive, around the clock and professional manner. The rooms were decorated in an authentic Namibian feel,: clean, well maintained no creepy crawlies or flying insects. The rooms looked straight out across a small pond, (which contained hippos,) where you could see various animals including kudu, giraffe, warthogs and other animals. The buffet dinner at night was quite exceptional, with tables surrounding a large fire. The grilled meats always included local game but also other meats like chicken. A variety of vegetables and salads.were also always included. The wine menu was quite good with many South African and Namibian wines. The morning and afternoon game drives were very good with sightings of many elephants, giraffe and zebra, Also saw a pride of lions and a crash of rhinos. By the way, this lodge is doing much to preserve endangered species. Also found very exciting the lion feed that that can be attended each night. Quite safe. Good photos. In late May and the rest of the winter, it can be quite cold on early morning and late evening games. Easy 2.5 hour drive from Windhoek. 2 hours on nice paved B1 road. The final portion off B1 was a well graded D road. It's a lodge you should enjoy and let soak in slowly. We stayed only 2 nights, that was too few. If in Namibia again, would go out of our way to stay here again.

The place is beautiful and calm, the staff helpful and attentive, but our experience on arrival was terrible. A person named Simone, that maybe has not received proper training, was very rude and aggressive. To our guide, to our tour leader and towards all of us. In hospitality the main objective is to make guests welcome. A pity that in such a place have a person in the front desk with this attitude. We did not felt welcomed at all.

We don't normally spend so much on accommodation in game reserves so when we arrived for a 1 day stay in tranquillity, on Easter Monday and found a large group of builders hammering away right in the middle of the complex, we felt really cheated. This was about the most uncool move the owner could have ever made. I hope she at least feels a little bit guilty. The site is beautiful. The food is very good. The staff try hard and are nice. The lion feeding is strange but very exciting. The charging normal rates with builders hammering away right in front of the tea garden is total unacceptable.

Due to some technical issues the lodge did not receive our booking. When we arrived the lodge was fully booked and no room was available. The staff however was very helpful, prepared a single room (usually for staff or guides) for the 4 of us with extra beds and mattresses. They did not charge us for this night, including dinner and drinks. The next night we could move into a family-room - this is customer service! Overall the staff is very friendly and helpful! The game drive was beautiful and we were able to see most of the big 5 on the very first day. Overall a very nice experience, also due to the nice garden and the lake with the hippos. A very good place to just relax and wind down.

The game drive was exceptions, and we have been on many, but here's the rest. I paid upfront and received a good response from the reception. However, despite confirming multiple times that my guests were vegetarian, there was no arrangement made for lunch. The chef hastily put together a vegetarian pot for us. At dinner, the hostess simply stated that there were salad and vegetables on the buffet. The restaurant only prepares one batch of food for dinner, so in our case, we enjoyed a glass of wine until well before the deadline for dinner, however, by the time we made it to the buffet, we had to rush because most of the dishes had already been consumed or were running low. I paid a premium price, so I was quite frustrated.
