An affordable and comfortable Safari getaway not too far from Lusaka.
This Camp has just opened at the border of the Kafue NP. Game viewing is amazing (we spotted a big family of lions, with five Cubs). Safari Tents are very comfortable and there is individual outside hot showers and toilets next to the tent. Prices include all the activities. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. We really had a wonderful time.

There are few words to explain how Mutendele is unique. First the hosts are exceptional, the place is just breathtaking and the experience amazing.
I could never forget that experience with Matthew walking in the bush and finding a big male lion standing no more than 50 meters to us !!
If you love simplicity, nature and wild experience so Mutendele is a must !

My Wife and I had a wonderful stay at Mutendele Bush Camp. This area really is a hidden Gem. We saw some amazing game while here. Not to mention hearing Lion roaring close to camp on most of the nights we were there. The accomodation is superb for those wanting to be close to nature. My wife, Kellie especially loved the bathrooms which are open air with a great view. Evening showers looking out over the beautiful river are a must! Matthew and Rebecca were amazing hosts, going out of their way to make sure that our stay was both memorable and comfortable. Matthew has a vast knowledge of the local animal species from elephants right down to the smallest insects. Rebecca does a great job of organising and keeping everyone comfortable and entertained. We did a bit of fishing which was excellent (except for kellie hooking me haha). Food was simple but delicious, one night we ate crayfish which Mat had trapped in the afternoon. We will be coming back to Mutendele as often as we can!

We spent 4 nights in this truly magical bush camp. The tented accommodation was superb, very comfortably furnished and the open air bathrooms with views out over the plains were fantastic. Plenty of hot running water! Our hosts Matt and Becky made our stay extra special, a lovely friendly and knowledgeable couple. The food was excellent and the beers were cold! The fishing was outstanding! We also experienced an unforgettable moment with two male lions while out on a a game drive. We were so happy to see how untouched this perfect little piece of africa was. We can't wait to go back to Mutendele Bush Camp to make more unforgettable memories!

A friendly staff, that make you feel like kings in the bush. An absolutely tranquil area to kick back and relax in the true African bush. I would recommend this to families, friends or couples as a perfect holiday destination.

Looking for real adventure in the middle of the bush, with the most friendly couple and culinary delights amid the nocturnal sounds of wilderness, this destination or should I say this journey is made for you.
All, from the real comfort of brand new tents with charming restrooms (I wish I had the same at home) to the panoramic recreation lounge is tastefully furnished.
It goes without saying that the most important remains the kindness, dynamism and genuine hospitality of our hosts: always trying to make you feel cared for.
Thank you Rebecca and Mathew, you created a gem in Zambia.

Mutendele Bush Camp is really in the heart of some beautiful African bush along side the Kafue river in Zambia. This is a new camp and has amazing potential. Accommodation in tents, built up on the side of a kopje (hill), are perfectly furnished with a stunning outdoor toilet and hot water shower over looking the river. The food is amazing, prepared in a real bush kitchen. Game viewing plentiful, Lion, Leopard and numerous species of Antelope. Fishing is a great way to spend the afternoon with great catches of different type of Bream fish plus Pike. A lovely part of Africa.

I spent there four great days with our hosts, Rebecca and Matthew, and my friends. We've been lucky enough to see many wild animals, lions, leopards, elephants, etc.
If you're ready to get up early, you may have the same experience!

We had an amazing time at Mutendele. The place is so calm and relaxing in the middle of the conservancy. Rebecca and Matthew are doing a great job. Pay them a visit!
