Originally we had booked another lodge but we were moved here because of work being carried out. What a result. The lodge and the rooms are fabulous. The views are stunning and you have a perfect view of the sunset from your private balcony or the terrace of the main lodge. Staff friendly and eager to help and are still learning the ropes (we overheard a session teaching the waiters about wine and how to pour it). Location wise the lodge is perfect for your visit to the dunes (30kms from park gate) which means that you can go to see the sunrise. If you do go early the lodge will even pack you a breakfast to take with you. Great choice of place to stay.

Wonderful views from the lodge, staff very helpful and friendly, food (game steak) was really juicy and spiced in a nice way. The housing is something special, and you just do not want to leave. But - unfortunately smoking is allowed every where outside, and since the wind is constant, you have the smell of tobacco in the main building. Recommend a special area for the few smokers.

This lodge was built in 2018 and is still pretty new. Staff is very helpful, they even washed the car! Rooms are perfect with aircon and lots of EU and usb powerplugs. View from the balcony is superb overviewing the open dessert are with a waterhole with mountains in the back. Food is good. Only downside is the quality of the wifi. When wifi is working it is very poor. Half the time it was not working. The drive to soussos vlei only takes 30 minutes. In summer you can leave at 05:30 to still make the very front of the queue at the park gate in Sesriem. We enjoyed our two night stay.

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst we explored sossusvlei. It was a good location to get out into the dunes. The huts and buildings are stunning and the views out are great - particularly for star watching in the evening. The food was nice and the staff very friendly. The lodge is new so there are still a few things being finished - including the bar. The pool was one of the best, and had a great area around it for relaxing.
