Hotel's Favourite
We were a family group of four adults and we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Duplex Villa set into the hillside overlooking Grand Anse Beach. It is a job to know where to start, as everything was wonderful. The staff were the most amazing helpful and friendly people I have ever experienced in a hotel setting. It is worth noting that although it is a small resort with approximately 37 villas and apartments, it is set into the hillside, which causes the need for a lot of steep hills to reach the higher parts. However, this was never a problem, as there was always someone around to take us up in a car from early morning to late at night. In fact they used to look out for us and if we attempted to walk up, they would call us over to a car. The food was also of a very high standard, as was the service. There were two main eating areas. a Restaurant within the main hotel building which served break fast and dinner and for lunch, there was the beach cabana, just a short walk away and right on the beach. The menus didn't change very much during our two week stay, although there was a Grenadian Night, and Bonfire on the Beach with Marshmallows each week and in our case also a Valentines menu. This also wasn't a problem, as when I mentioned about other choices they told me that if I let the chef know what we would like, he would try and cook it for us with 24 hrs notice. He did this for us on two occasions. Pasta Bolognese and Jerk Chicken. Both Excellent. There was a different menu at the beach Cabana with plenty of choices from Burgers to Salads. We were on an all inclusive package and I was amazed at what was included in the deal. It was everything including cocktails, soft drinks and hot drink. The only exceptions were Champagne and high end wines. One other nice touch was one evening after dinner, I was chatting to Joel, one of the barmen about Rum and what the different types are and he did a 1 to 1 private tasting for me explaining which ones are meant to be sipped neat and which are best with mixers, which includes Ting; a local grapefruit drink and Ginger Ale, as well as the usual cola. It was very educational and unexpected. The accommodation was also very nice. it was on two levels and the views from the 2 balconies overlooked the bay along Grand Anse Beach and we could see the capital; St George across the bay. We also saw the almost daily cruise ships coming in and out, but they didn't affect our stay. I believe they properties are used as self catering units out of season, so in addition to the two ensuite double / twin bedrooms, we had a full kitchen and sitting room with TV. Also, as we were all inclusive, our fridge was restocked everyday with wine, beer, soft drinks and water. There was also a mobile phone in the room to call reception. This was handy one day when it was raining, as we called and someone came to pick us up and take us to breakfast in a car. A final nice touch was that every night they delivered home made cookies and on Valentines day, they were made to look like Red Hearts. A lovely touch. The management team were always very visible making sure everything was running smoothly and got to know us by first names and regularly chatted to us. Another pleasant surprise was on the beach where they actually had enough loungers and umbrellas for the number of guests. Al we had to do was walk down and if there weren't any free, the chap on the beach would get us four loungers and two umbrellas, position them fr us and we could pick up towels from a cabinet on the way down. Brilliant, no reserving at 4 am, like so many places. Finally, I took advantage of the spa, which can be up at the resort, or in a cabana on the beach. I had their signature massage and it was one of the best I have had. Thank you Shania. I think you can probably tell from the above that we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mount Cinnamon and would highly recommend it to anyone, from couples, to families with and without children. Why not give it a try. You won't regret it.

We had a very nice week at Mount Cinnamon. The grounds are beautiful with lots of flowers and plants. All the staff members we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom villa that had beautiful views of the sea and surrounding area. The villa was very spacious and comfortable, with lots of closet space. It could benefit from some updates though. The bathrooms, while clean and functional, were a bit tired. Water pressure in the shower was poor at all times. The microwave in the kitchen looked like it was from 1970. The beach was very beautiful and great for long walks. Plenty of beach loungers and umbrellas available anytime we were at the beach. If you stay in one of the upper villas, as we did, be aware it is a long walk down stairs to the lobby and then another long to the beach. We were aware of this prior to our stay so it was not a problem for us. But if you can not handle a lot of walking this may not be the best choice of hotels for you. The hotel did say they offer a shuttle from the villas to the lobby, but we rarely saw it during our stay. The main restaurant (Savy's) was great for breakfast, which was included in our package. Most items are available at a buffet, but are served by a staff person which we appreciated for heath and cleanliness reasons. We could also order eggs made to order which were delivered to our table directly. We also enjoyed lunch and drinks at the beach cabana restaurant. They made a great frozen mojito! The biggest disappointment with our stay was loud noise coming from town on Saturday and Sunday nights. We could hear loud music from an event at a park in town until 3am on Saturday and a loud bingo game from the same area until 11:30pm on Sunday. While this is not the fault of the hotel, it did negatively impact our stay and rating. We enjoyed walking to various restaurants for dinner and especially enjoyed Antonio's for great thin crust pizza. We also really loved 61 West. We took a taxi there but you could walk there on the beach.

Grenada and Mount Cinnamon are among the most beautiful places we've ever been to. The staff at Mount Cinnamon was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the housekeeper Mia, the shuttle drivers Hakim, Murray, and Faro, to Silburn the security guard. The wait staff at Savvy's always took good care of us, especially Cecile and Kassie. Janelle at the spa is very funny and helped to fix my nails after I wrecked them in the forest. And of course Rohan and Rondell were both very nice and willing to spend their time helping us plan our time in Grenada and organizing taxis for us. All in all, Mount Cinnamon is a beautiful place with a gorgeous garden on the way to the beach which is at the end of Grand Anse, so while it is part of the public beach, there is not a lot of traffic from other tourists.

Great place to stay, very spacious full service rooms. A tranquil recovery after a busy week of sailing the Islands. The hotel Dining room was an excellent dinner experience, quality and quantity of food, background music and attentive staff. Not all Grenada restaurants have figured out the service part of restaurant food. Cinnamon food comes well presented and promptly delivered. Breakfast was more than adequate in terms of variety, quality and quantity. The a la carte hot egg choices, perfectly cooked, were a very nice add. We checked out some other hotels in our beach wanderings and they do not match up. Location is good; being off the beach and up the hill, makes for a nicer view, cooler breezes and less risk of random traffic in the hotel. Also, within walking distance of the noise and the beach bars but away from the noise. The Concierge, (Celeste?) is a joy. Make sure you use her and Cinnamon for any trips. We made the mistake of booking a trip independent of the Hotel and it was awful, people packed in to the bus, short stops and a driver who hit something on the way and complained about it for the rest of the trip. By comparison, using Mount Cinnamon to arrange a sightseeing trip resulted in a much more pleasant and better value experience, with a knowledgeable driver who accommodated our schedule and whims. Cinnamon have regular drivers for all their guests needs. The Hobie sailboats were not working. If boats are a big issue for you, check before you book. Small thing compared to the many plusses. We will be back next year for another recovery after our sailing adventures

The grounds and beach are dreamlike in their beauty. The staff are incredibly accommodating and helpful. The food is bliss. The pace is slower than at home but that helps us to relax - were on holiday! The weather is exquisite. The accommodation just right - ones own loo and shower!

I visited this resort for the day, when our cruise ship visited the island. The front desk staff were good. When I got to the beach it was a different story. The day pass visitors were ignored. I thought it might be just me, but I observed the other visitors from the ship, and they received just as poor service as I did. Service on the beach was impossible. The server would not look at me, although I was no more then 8 feet away from her. She served all the people staying at the resort. I finally got her attention and ordered a diet coke. When I went to the restaurant for lunch, I was rudely told I could not sit at the table I wanted it because it was set for 4 people. She told me I had to sit at the table she pointed to which was set for 2. I said I wanted to sit at the other table because of the view of the beach. She said "No you can't". I sat at the table set for two and she quickly removed one place setting. Why could she not have taken away three place settings and let me sit at the table I chose. Then she ignored my attempts to get her attention to order lunch. I asked what she recommended, and she mumbled " everything". I ordered a club sandwich and it was delicious. I wanted to order dessert and I was ignored for 20 minutes, no water refills either. I ordered dessert and it took over 30min to arrive. The servers were busy serving the guests staying at the resort. It was so blatantly obvious they were not interested in serving people with a day pass. It made for a most unpleasant visit. I paid $129 USD for a diet coke and a club sandwich and the use of their lounge chair for the day. Also I received a horrible feeling when being ignored purposefully. They wanted their tips, and figured why attend to a day pass person. They felt we were ignorant enough not to realize the bias we were experiencing. DO NOT GO HERE ON A DAY PASS. I do feel I should receive a refund. I left at 2pm due to the horrible feeling and experience. I didn't want to stay there for 3 more hours Christine from Ottawa Canada

Every staff member we spoke to was charming, friendly and eager to please. Unfortunately, that was not enough to achieve good service. Communication between staff members is poor. For example, our unit had almost no dish towels for the kitchen. Repeated requests to various staff members over multiple days did not resolve the problem. Finally, we reached someone determined to resolve the problem personally and she did. Our unit included a small swimming pool. We arrived to low water level and no water circulation, making the pool unsafe to use. On our day of departure two weeks later the pool was sort of working. This painfully slow response was in spite of intervention by the hotel manager. She responded positively to our complaint about poor communication between staff members and seemed eager to fix that. However, that problem is very challenging to fix.

Hello Richard, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your acknowledgment of the great nature and personality of our team. We also apologize for the delay in processing your request and have since implemented methods to address this matter. Our beautiful island experiences two seasons, rainy and dry season. The dry season typically runs from January to May and the rainy season from June to December. We generally receive lower levels of rainfall during the dry season. During our dry season, our water company practices water management, and we may experience varying intervals of water outages. While we maintain on-site water storage, outages can impact the water flow, effectiveness, and efficiency of our systems including the heating systems and pools. During your stay the impacts of the water management impacted the pool pump which had to be repaired by an external team, however, we apologize that this impacted your stay for an extended period of time. We appreciate a vacation is a time for much-needed rest and relaxation and acknowledge that the little things can impact your ability to do so. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. Cheers, Diannethea
