We were a family group of four adults and we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Duplex Villa set into the hillside overlooking Grand Anse Beach. It is a job to know where to start, as everything was wonderful. The staff were the most amazing helpful and friendly people I have ever experienced in a hotel setting. It is worth noting that although it is a small resort with approximately 37 villas and apartments, it is set into the hillside, which causes the need for a lot of steep hills to reach the higher parts. However, this was never a problem, as there was always someone around to take us up in a car from early morning to late at night. In fact they used to look out for us and if we attempted to walk up, they would call us over to a car. The food was also of a very high standard, as was the service. There were two main eating areas. a Restaurant within the main hotel building which served break fast and dinner and for lunch, there was the beach cabana, just a short walk away and right on the beach. The menus didn't change very much during our two week stay, although there was a Grenadian Night, and Bonfire on the Beach with Marshmallows each week and in our case also a Valentines menu. This also wasn't a problem, as when I mentioned about other choices they told me that if I let the chef know what we would like, he would try and cook it for us with 24 hrs notice. He did this for us on two occasions. Pasta Bolognese and Jerk Chicken. Both Excellent. There was a different menu at the beach Cabana with plenty of choices from Burgers to Salads. We were on an all inclusive package and I was amazed at what was included in the deal. It was everything including cocktails, soft drinks and hot drink. The only exceptions were Champagne and high end wines. One other nice touch was one evening after dinner, I was chatting to Joel, one of the barmen about Rum and what the different types are and he did a 1 to 1 private tasting for me explaining which ones are meant to be sipped neat and which are best with mixers, which includes Ting; a local grapefruit drink and Ginger Ale, as well as the usual cola. It was very educational and unexpected. The accommodation was also very nice. it was on two levels and the views from the 2 balconies overlooked the bay along Grand Anse Beach and we could see the capital; St George across the bay. We also saw the almost daily cruise ships coming in and out, but they didn't affect our stay. I believe they properties are used as self catering units out of season, so in addition to the two ensuite double / twin bedrooms, we had a full kitchen and sitting room with TV. Also, as we were all inclusive, our fridge was restocked everyday with wine, beer, soft drinks and water. There was also a mobile phone in the room to call reception. This was handy one day when it was raining, as we called and someone came to pick us up and take us to breakfast in a car. A final nice touch was that every night they delivered home made cookies and on Valentines day, they were made to look like Red Hearts. A lovely touch. The management team were always very visible making sure everything was running smoothly and got to know us by first names and regularly chatted to us. Another pleasant surprise was on the beach where they actually had enough loungers and umbrellas for the number of guests. Al we had to do was walk down and if there weren't any free, the chap on the beach would get us four loungers and two umbrellas, position them fr us and we could pick up towels from a cabinet on the way down. Brilliant, no reserving at 4 am, like so many places. Finally, I took advantage of the spa, which can be up at the resort, or in a cabana on the beach. I had their signature massage and it was one of the best I have had. Thank you Shania. I think you can probably tell from the above that we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mount Cinnamon and would highly recommend it to anyone, from couples, to families with and without children. Why not give it a try. You won't regret it.…
