I had a brief, but very enjoyable stay at Tsitsikahya Lodge. The food was delicious, the hospitality friendly, welcoming and helpful and the hot stone massage was deeply relaxing and restorative. I can highly recommend this as a a great value for money experience.

The room was amazing and so clean and comfortable. Everyone was so helpful and went above and beyond - providing extra assistance where needed and really made a difference. The breakfast each morning was delicious and a great start to the day!
Overall, loved the place and looking forward to returning for a long weekend breakaway when possible.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful if they'd tried! If you wanted a model for great service Claire and Megan and the rest of the staff are the examples to follow! Nothing was too much trouble.
They prepared a BBQ for us when my little boy asked for a fire, they facilitated everything we could ask for and more.
This accommodation was a delight to stay at and made exceptional by some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I've met!
We'd highly recommend this stay to everyone!

We would like to express our huge and utter disappointment at the fact that your establishment “UPGRADED” us to a “cottage in the garden”.
To our dismay when we got to the “Glorified Shack” we were shocked!!
We had originally booked the Essendorf which we saw on booking.com and it was the last room available, but decided to call directly as we know most establishments prefer this mode of booking.
Upon arrival we were told that we were upgraded to a better room and a Happy New Year gift from your establishment.Well we could not believe that this is what was presented to us. We were then told that the room we originally booked was taken, which we then figured at breakfast the next morning the group wanted to be together so why not throw us into the bush or the people had booked the shed and saw it was insane to be so far out and having to live in the state it is in. (well we spent 3 nights there) with no TV, it was not working, bins were not emptied for us. Nothing!
We then proceeded to make up our minds and terminate the thought of staying in that shack and enjoy the area as we intended too.
I tried to book a spa treatment for my wife which she was looking forward to and again, no spa available.
We then noticed that there were a swarm bees in the timber on the “Veranda” which then meant we could not sit on the “veranda”
Hano then got them to come and smoke them out which meant our days there we could not open doors or windows for fear of bees coming in and us being stung

For an 8th Anniversary
Never were we informed that cottage rooms aren't connected to the generator, while other rooms are connected.
On Friday, 18th November at about 16h20, returning from a day's nice activities, the room was never touched nor any kind of refreshing you can think of.
The place is not even close to giving value for money.
Tsitsikama, is the place to go but not Tsitsikhaya as an accommodation of choice.

Nice spacious rooms, Lovely surroundings, lots to see and do in Tsitsikamma overall. Very friendly and helpful staff, big variety on their breakfast menu that is well planned; Really good accommodation with spacious rooms and bathrooms. They have aircon, bar fridge, DSTV, hairdryers, laundry service, a Lot of closet space, to name but a few. The Spa facilities are tucked away in the woods in a secluded spot; pool and braai facilities also available. Besides the low cost overall, this is truly a place worth staying over at!

My stay at Tsitsikhaya lodge was amazing, It was a birthday vacation and i truly enjoyed it. Friendly stuff, nice big clean room, amazing breakfast. I will recommend Tsitsikhaya to friends and family.

The only tip i have is, they must at least have 1 heater in the room, cause it is cold now especially in the evenings, a fan heater would do. but otherwise, it was a lovely stay.

We stayed in the Waterbessie room and found this very noisy with the staff sitting in the office next door. Lucky no people enjoying the pub or stoep then it would have been worse. We were warmly greeted by Veronica and shown the room. No mention was made as to Eskom Load shedding times. The power went off at 4pm and we took a stroll down into the village. On our return the whole place was locked up and not a soul in sight. I thought this odd. The power eventually came back on at around 7pm and on our return from dinner found there to be no water. I walked all around the property but no one. No file in the room with contact details etc. I eventually contacted Veronica and she stated the gardener was supposed to put the pump back on. After searching around I found him. Blow me down the power off the next morning and back on at 7 am and NO WATER again. I went to look for gardener and missing. One of the staff then happened to come in at the gate and she switched it on.
This i TOTALLY unacceptable that there is no night manager or a file with contact info in. I run a guest house in Calitzdorp and are shocked at how this place was managed.
Also the shower door is not working correctly, these things should be checked before the new guests arrive people!!!!

Met by Manager Hano on arrival.
Room excellent - clean and comfortable. Garden surrounds also added to feeling of well being.. Property close to village center so only short drive for supper. Vehicle parked off road on premises so pretty secure. Breakfast really excellent.. Will revisit on return trip. (which we did with same opinion)
