Amazing old palazzo. Great room and the family who own it are so lovely and welcoming. Off street parking. Air con in room. Exceptionally clean. Great breakfast with home made cakes etc . I wish we could have stayed longer but hope to return
A fascinating, enchanting & unusual B&B in a small town which is extremely well placed for visiting Lecce, Otranro, Galatina, Galipoli and this beautiful southern tip of Italy. Our lovely hosts could not have been more kind and helpful and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to stay in this beautiful palace. My husband will not easily forget the pleasure of playing the grand piano in such a grand setting. The free parking was a bonus.
Francesca and Gianluiji were friendly and very professional providing much kindness. Francesca provides the most wonderful breakfast and her baking is so delicious. We loved the natural yogurt and fresh strawberries. The double room was immaculately clean. We would have like to be able to open our windows for fresh air rather than use the air conditioning, however this could be a safety issue being on the first floor. We felt the photos of the garden (on booking.com) were not as we were expecting. The garden was unkempt, however closer to summer that may change.
If you are looking for excellence at a reasonable price this is your place! We've been traveling around the world for some 20 years and Palazzo Leuzzi is among the top 10, five star hotels like Ritz Carlton and Banyan Tree included... First of all Maria Teresa and Francesca are the perfect hosts - personal, service minded and genuinely generous. The palace itself is fantastic; filled with old charm and a romantic feeling. We were lucky to get the apartment with a huge bedroom with some 6 metres to the painted ceiling and two huge doors facing the yard. What makes Palazzo Leuzzi top notch is the breakfast! We had a feeling it would be good, but it turned out to be awesome. Figs, cherry tomatoes, natural yoghurt, granola, nuts, local cheese, three freshly made cakes, orange juice, five(!) different homemade marmelades... And without notice they made banana/strawberry ice cream for the guests. We ended up chatting on the terrace until 11 o'clock, one hour after the breakfast finished. Oh, and the limit of guests (about 10) adds to the private and exclusive feeling. We will be back, tomorrow in fact!…
