#1 of 25 Speciality lodging in Uggiano La Chiesa
The Masseria Vignenove, built at the beginning of the last century in the green olive trees, welcomes its guests with the warmth of the people of Salento. In 2012, thanks to a careful restoration with the use of biological materials and the choice of distinctive furnishings and artifacts, testifies to the ancient traditions of civilization. The tranquility of the countryside and the shade of the pergola offer moments of absolute relaxation.

Fantastic stay in August 2020! Beautiful, relaxing, little B&B with lovely gardens. Perfect spot for exploring Otranto and the South East coast. Fabrizio is a great host and provided some excellent restaurant recommendations (and help booking as we don't speak Italian). Delicious breakfast with a nice variety of fresh local produce and homemade cake. Of the 4 places we stayed in in Puglia, this was easily the best breakfast - it was nice to be able to indulge in a mix of both sweet and savoury options, which changed daily. Spotlessly clean and careful to minimise the risk of covid.

We absolutely loved the Masseria Vignenove - Fabrizio the owner and manager was onsite and looked after us wonderfully - he speaks excellent English and offered us a map of the local area with some really good recommendations of restaurants, bars, beaches and other interesting places to visit. This was a great help and the restaurants and bars we went to locally were great. The masseria is charming, very well kept and spotlessly clean - Fabrizio takes Covid-19 very seriously and all the staff wear masks and breakfast was served to us at our allocated table in the pretty undercover space looking out over fig and olive trees. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a different selection each day and many things home made or home grown. We had a twin room that was very spacious with comfy beds and a great shower in the bathroom. There were shutters on the windows to block out the beautiful sunshine early morning and good Air con. The Masseria is set in pretty surroundings with trees and lawns and a hammocks - we wished we had spent more time there but we were off exploring the beaches near by. The masseria is set at the edge of Uggiano which itself is charming. We had a very good meal at Matisse on one night and good sunset drinks at Skafe (10 minutes away on the coast at Porto Badisco. We were very well looked after and thought this excellent value for money too. We would definitely recommend this masseria.

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely masseria! The host is extremely kind and will do anything to make you comfortable. He gave nice restaurant tips. He prepares a very nice breakfast with homemade cakes and pies. The rooms are beautiful decorated. He has a great eye for style which is seen in the garden the rooms but also in the bathroom. We loved the place. And the view is also very nice over his own land We even heard that in summertime he prepares diner with the products of his own vegetable garden. We hope to experience that once in the future, because we will definitely come back! Don’t forget to swing in the hammock.

Fabrizio was a warm, considerate host who made us feel most welcome. The Masseria was located amongst olive groves, on the fringe of Uggiano, making it very peaceful. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated in traditional colours and materials, as well as providing the most comfortable bed of our holiday. Breakfasts were served on the pleasant verandah, overlooking the garden and included fresh fruit, home-made jams and pastries. Clio and her adorable kittens kept us thoroughly entertained. The location provided easy access to Otranto, the stunning coastline towards Leuca, as well as being within easy driving distance of the beautiful baroque town of Lecce.
