Immersed in the peaceful Salento countryside, among olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation, the Hotel Resort Mulino a Vento is a relaxing and restoring oasis for guest longing for a friendly welcoming and a deserved break in an uncontaminated territory. Situated only a few kilometers from Otranto and Porto Badisco, Enea’s landing place in Italy, the Resort is also a perfect starting point to discover the coastal and internal beauties of Salento area. The hypogeum oil mill, dating back to the XVI century, completely refurbished, is available for guests guided tours. Rare witness of a flourishing rural tradition that used the animal power ( mule or horse) and the wind-force from which the name “Mulino a Vento” the mill calls to mind ancient flavors entirely enhanced in the meals offered at the Hotel restaurant where local aroma and colors melt in a perfect bond of tradition and innovation.

Stayed at the resort for one week and it was simple perfect. Staff are really kind and helpful. Small activities are also proposed which is great! Rooms and public areas are absolutely clean. The restaurant is also delicious if you wish to remain there for dinner. Recommend 100%!

Me and my family just spent a few days in this pleasant resort with relaxed and yet elegant atmosphere, beautiful large pool, great food and very gentle and passionate staff. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and each of them has a patio. The sun is always guaranteed but generally there's a gentle wind that makes it never too hot. And yet when it does get nearly too hot, you can just enter the pool and take a swim or relax.

Very pleasant place indeed, with bungalow style rooms laid out around a central swimming pool. Staff and owners here just went the extra mile, and this was really appreciated. Most speak English, and extra activities were organized by the hotel to entertain the guests. Everything looks pristine, and my room was clean and tidy. Very good bed, the only modest complaint I had was lack of a place to sit and do a bit of writing and drawing. There was in fact a beautiful table, and lovely chairs, but the chairs were too high and the table too low so one could not actually sit at the table. Dinner, breakfast and lunch were excellent. Compliments to the cooks! Location is in the Puglia countryside, it is possible to walk to the local supermarket, but I decided against walking to the sea side town of Porto Badisco because the road leading there is narrow and full of speeding cars, and I thought it was too dangerous. I loved this hotel, and thought it was the best we had during our trip to lovely Puglia.

The apartment, grounds and pool are all lovely, the setting amongst olive trees is beautiful. Gorgeous pool area, and not too busy. Very tasty breakfast with a lot of options. Very nice room, simple but well done, all in working order and nice terrace. Only complaint would be lack of hot water - even though the weather is hot it’s nice to have at least a warm shower after you’ve been swimming in the sea, this was luke warm at best and Baltic at worst! It was disappointing but wouldn’t put me off this lovely resort, all staff super friendly and helpful whenever required!

My first time visiting Puglia wouldn't be the same without the amazing experience I had in Mulino a Vento. I think the top aspect was the stuff which was so kind and helpful. Every morning Daniela came to us during breakfast and helped us decide where to go next. In addition, the hotel is organising amazing events almost every night like pasta making class, Wine and Olive Oil tasting and local music and dance night. Also, the pool, rooms, restaurants and bars are so well kept and you can't not to feel spoiled, which is all you really after when you come for a relaxing vacation. We already decided to come again at some point.
