We pride ourselves in giving our guests, a restful, private and well cared for chalet every time they visit us. All our chalets are serviced on a daily basis. The chalets is fully equipped for self-catering. We are a four star graded facility. The Main Lodge has an A-la-carte Restaurant and bar area. Our "Family Restaurant" has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our Restaurant and Bar area is a smoke free area. The entire game farm consists of 880ha of typical Northern Natal terrain and has 8kms of waterfront of the spectacular Bivane River. The unique blend of bushveld and highveld creates the opportunity for nature lovers to view more than 20 species of mammal including Eland, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, giraffe and buffalo, with over 1000 head of game. We are also fortunate to have the endangered Oribi on our farm. Birding is also very rewarding and the area is home to numerous species. One of the highlights is the Bald Ibis nesting site. Fish Eagles, Martial Eagles, Blue Cranes, Secretary birds and many others are often spotted. We are conveniently situated 30kms north of Vryheid and only 3kms from the tarred Vryheid/Paul Pietersburg main road. (R33). The area is malaria free and the clean clear water and air have a bracing effect on health and vitality. At 1320m above sea level, the climate is mild yet stimulating with warm summers and invigorating winters.

Stayed overnight on business trip. Chalet was situated overlooking valley very private and wonderful setting. Rooms were well appointed with top class finishes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms above road looked a little less well situated. Communal lounge and bar were quite luxurious and quality of food excellent Downside was that there was no bath soap to be found anywhere at lodge and fellow visitor had trouble with broken toilet Staff were quite attentive with repairs

There is tons of game on this farm which you see from the gate. The food is great and the couple that manage the place are awesome. You will definitely enjoy your stay. Great walks to the river and waterfall.

Had a BJJ comp in Vryheid and stay over at Bivane Game Lodge. What an amazing experience.

The self catering chalets are perfect. Clean and egonomically designed. With all the amenities. The view from the bar and chalets are stunning. Open veld in the mountain with abundant flora and funa. Very safe too.

Game life on the farm, Blesbok, Impala, wildebeest, Sprinbok, Warthog and resident Ostrich. Spectacular secenery.

The real gems of the lodge are the hosts Pieter, Chantel & resident chef Roelf. Make one feel at home, relax atmosphere and great attention to detail. Genuine boere hospitality. And great boere "kos". Well done guys and thank you.

PS. GO HUNGRY Roelf steaks and breakie are damn lekker and portions are boere portions😆

So if you the area (30km from Vryheid or Paulpietersburg) I can highly recommend this logde.

We have stayed at Bivane Lodge a few times now, and every time we left refreshed and relaxed. The view are absolutely stunning, the chalets is elegantly furnished and comfortable. They also now have a full time restaurant were you can dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food was great each time with great service. There is plenty to do or just having a drink and enjoying the view. I will continue going back there at every opportunity.

The chalets are stunning thatched units with wonderful views of the valley and have all the utilities required to spend an amazing weekend of relaxing. We stayed in a 2 room chalet that were both en suite. There is a dining room that serves meals by arrangement with the lodge management. All the chalets are totally apart and so are very private.
The grounds have all sorts of buck and antelope roaming about. There is a bit of a gravel road from the main road but in fairly good condition. Google unfortunately has the lodge located in the town of Vryheid. It is not in town. It is 30km outside town on the road between Vryheid and Paulpietersberg.

Bivane Game Lodge is almost a second home for me and I don't have to think where to go to relax. Barsie and Jannet are like family members with all their kindness, hospitality and friendliness. They are always available to look after guests and to make our stay more comfortable. Bivane lodge is my favourite as long as Barsie and Jannet are there. Bivane lodge has river, dam, wild life, nature with all the facilities of a five star hotel. Great to be there again and again. Thanks to Barsie and Jannet.

We were a group of 4 families that stopped over at Bivane Game Lodge on our way back from Cape Vidal over the Easter weekend. We booked for two nights and could easily have stayed for another. What a lovely surprise. It's beautiful and extremely well maintained. The couple that manage the place are super special people that made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. The chalets are all exquisite and fully equipped. The family chalets are very spacious with a lovely outside deck with beautiful views over the farm. The kids loved cycling around and fishing in the dam and at the waterfall. Would highly recommend Bivane Game Lodge and the food was fantastic. Thanks Chantell and Pieter, you guys are awesome!
