Right at the riverfront, the camping has plenty of shadow by huge trees. As an alternative to camping, there are comfortable chalets at a very favourable price. Katima Mulilo town is reached by car within 20 minutes. And the management and staff are very friendly.

We stayed in the luxury rooms for 3 nights. The room has 2 x 3/4 beds,a full kitchen with a small fridge, a small table with 2 chairs and Aircon. An outside braai and table. The garden is lovely with a lot of grass and big trees - a bird watcher's dream. The property also have camping sites and budget rooms. This lodge is value for money. We would definitely stay there again.

The Lodge with campsite is a great stopover on the way to- or from Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. We camped there for one night after returning from a 4 week camping trip to Zambia. It is very conveniently located a few km outside Katima Mulilo - not so much of a civilisation shock if you have been in the "bush" for some time.
The entire Lodge is well maintained, the manageress and staff are friendly and helpful.
The campsites - all on lawn within a lush garden and view of the river have a barbecue area and electricity. Ample, spacious and clean ablution facilities and a separate wash-up area are provided. Lovely showers with lots of hot water!
Some of the trees close to the river are hosts to bats. They are active at night and make quite a mess. If you are in a hurry the next morning do not put up your tent, leave your tables/ chairs or park your car under these trees as they will need some serious cleaning in the morning.

This campsite really surprised us with. Large campsites, very clean, well kept. We went out of season and its was quiet, and we could really be picky where we want to stand. The mighty Zambezi flows past your campsite, lots of birdlife and very helpful staff. General stuff like braai wood etc can be bought at the camp, but it is only about 15min from Katima Mulilo if you need more supplies. Overall a good experience.

In our recent 3 week camping trip around Botswana and Caprivi, Namwi Island was definitely the best camping spot we had - right on the Zambezi waters edge. One dreams of camping sites just like this, to just sit and watch the water flow by. The camp grounds are beautifully maintained, lush tall trees and grassed. The ablutions were very nice and clean with hot water at all times. No activities are offered from the Lodge but the owner was very helpful in suggesting a boat trip from a neighbouring property who took us for a sunset cruise around Namwi Island. A pity there are no game parks around Katimo Mulilo, but the birding at Namwi was amazing, got 3 new lifers there. Definitely worth another visit.

Namwi Island is a must to visit in the Katima Mulelo area Caprivi
The resort is maintained to perfection, reception excellent, bungalows ideal for self catering
with everything you will need.
The camp sites very neat and paved - ideal for caravans. Power and water on each site.
No wifi, but the stunning view on the Zambezi River will not leave you enough time to spend on a cellphone!
Definately on our list for our next visit to Caprivi.

We had a nice stay. The staff is really friendly. The place is beautiful and well maintained. Except the swimming pool. The luxury rooms are very nice and have aircon. The family room is quite spacious but gets hot because the aircon is only in main bedroom.

Spent Chrismas 2014 in this beautiful shaded setting on the banks of a tributary of the Zambezi. The campsites and grounds are well kept with lovely shade trees.Chalets also available.Attractive pool and bar area. Spent a wonderful afternoon on a sunset cruise on the river, on a local house boat. Would recommend this resort , reasonably priced and friendly service from the manageress.Went for a walk along the dirt road to the camp felt safe and secure.

This is a really nice stopover between chobe and katima mulilo. Nice shallow pool and great campsite. There are also a number of comfortable chalets (some of these are however not selfcatering.) Great views of the Zambezi river.
