Detailed Reviews
+1
Staff: polite, friendly and efficient without being intrusive.
Hotel location: excellent - 1 min walk to beach, 2 min walk to main square
Room: small but perfectly formed. Very well maintained all week by a lady named Bouja. Comfortable bed, great shower, large tv (only a couple of British channels) we didn’t watch it anyway as happily took in the gorgeous view from the balcony. If you really want tv on holiday, download to your device then link to the tv. Wifi was great (all over the hotel, restaurant, pool and beach). We booked the optional sea view…..definitely worth it! A/C was very effective but if you prefer fresh air, the balcony door can be open with the insect screen closed to protect from unwanted visitors- we did not find insects a problem and did not get bitten at all.
Food: we went half board. Lots of daily variety at breakfast and dinner. We found the food to be very good…pick what you like, avoid what you don’t. The Greek salad and tsaziki were totally amazing - the perfect accompaniment to which ever meat or fish were on offer that day.
Cocktails - fabulous. Especially when delivered direct to your sunbed on the beach.
Pool: looked nice but we didn’t use it preferring the beach.
Beach: lovely sandy beach, crystal clear shallow water. Variety of comfortable sunbeds…personal favourite were the giant beanbag chairs. Get to the beach before 10:15am as the parasol and beds get busy after this….why wouldn’t they? The beach is beautiful.
Activities: pool aerobics each day, huge variety of trips and tours that leave from outside the hotel, boat rental 5 mins from hotel, water sports available 10 mins further along beach. Land train from outside hotel.
Entertainment: post dinner music each night with some dancing. All very low key and nice. Music finishes by 11pm generally. Opt in or out as you feel.
Plenty of tavernas and shops within a very short walk of hotel.
The Corissia hotels are possibly the most service oriented hotel without being stuffy or pretentious that I have stayed at.

Hotel's Favourite
This is a terrific, family run hotel situated in the beautiful village of Georgioupolis in Crete.
The location is perfect.
Minutes from the beach and right beside the Corissia Park with it's large swimming pool and many sunloungers .
The entire park is grass and plenty of space between sunbeds makes for a totally relaxing holiday.
We were on half-board basis and the food is excellent with multiple choices.
Entertainment was on hand every night and it was so nice to sit beside the pool , enjoy a drink or two and chill out.
Staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful and we will be returning to Corissia Beach in September 2024 .

The room was excellent with a view from the balcony of the gardens across. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Invited us for a farewell drink on our last day in the hotel. Location was excellent adjacent to the Corissia Park for access to the pool and dining area were we enjoyed an excellent buffet breakfast and occasional lunch time meal. The only complaint would be the length of time the pool was open, from 10.30 in a morning until only 5.30 in the evening. this is to allow guests to enjoy a meal next to the pool. this takes no account of guests who would like to enjoy more time in the pool.
I would recommend the hotel as a holiday destination for couples and families.

The hotel was very nice and modern. We paid for half board but the food was a bit disappointing as it’s mostly catered for Germans. The staff all spoke to us in German even though we are British. We seen good reviews about the food before we went however most of the food we had was disappointing and average at best. Some staff were very friendly but some were rude and dismissive. Overall an average stay however we won’t return.

Another brilliant stay at corrissa hotel. This time we stayed at corissia beach, excellent location three minutes to restaurant and beach. Food excellent plenty of choices. Staff a credit to the hotel nothing to much trouble. A special thanks to Nikos the waiter who served us during our stay provided us with information we requested and always alert to our needs. Would strongly recommend hotel and will definitely go back

Absolutely amazing hotel! We did half board and the food is absolutely excellent which you don't usually get at a buffet style. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I would go back for the food alone. I had 2 kids with me and its quiet enough for kids but they just spent the whole day in the pool and the beach is 30 seconds from the pool. Amber, the animations lady is a credit to the hotel. I did Pilates, yoga and she had my 9 yr old playing table tennis and doing water aerobics. She is the heart of the hotel. The reception staff are incredibly friendly and so helpful, as are all the staff. I've nothing to fault about this hotel. It was my second time here and I will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed at the Corissa Harmony hotel (adults only) for 10 days. We chose the room with the private pool, which we really enjoyed. We also booked the half board option, which was well worth doing. You were given the choice of a buffet and two a la carte restaurants. The food and service were very good. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Everyone who works there extended themselves to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The beach and pools are beautiful, no problem getting a sun bed. Would highly recommend this resort.

We had a lovely meal by the sea at Corissia. Dinner with a view! The staff were very helpful and attentive, especially our server Daniel. We would definitely recommend eating here. They also have nightly entertainment round the pool, to pair with the happy hour cocktails!

We're currently on vacation in the village Georgiopouli and while walking near the beach we discovered the Bar of Corissia Hotel. We drank something near the beautiful sea and the waitress Helen was very friendly and welcoming. We can highly recommend a visit!
