I’ve had a wonderful stay at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm welcome from Reception and the hospitality throughout my stay was excellent! I was upgraded to half board and you could eat the second meal any time of the day (the Cretan and international cuisines that were served were very delicious!!). I had a lovely large, clean room with balcony on the ground floor, and I had the best nights sleep on the cocomat mattress! They give out a beach towel daily for 1 euro, which I could use in the pool area or on the beach across the road - 1 min walk away.
All the staff members were friendly and willing to give you the best service, they all wore masks, cleaning often, and their was use of hand gel. They provided free fitness/yoga classes daily and the open air spa/gym/hot tub with the views of the mountain and ocean was a massive highlight for me. Especially with happy hour cocktails (2for1) between 12 and 5 every day.
I’m super happy I stayed here - excellent services, heartfelt kindness and hospitality - thank you for the wine and honey raki on my last day to give me a great send off home back to the U.K. :) I loved my time in the Georgioupolis Village (plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, and an air conditioned bus every hour to Chania/Heraklion and beyond if needed).
If you are looking for a clean, safe, beachfront hotel in a historic village, with excellent hospitality and walking distance to all amenities, I would recommend this hotel!! I’m going back next year.

I recently returned from this beautiful hotel with my husband for short and last minute gateaway. We were extremely pleased with our stay; the resort was gorgeous, well situated, clean and the service was exceptional. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, they always went above and beyond to ensure that our request were met with high satisfaction. We were also very impressed by the hotel's COVID-19 precautions taken as all staff members were seen wearing face masks and sanitizer was accessible throughout the resort. Last but not least, the rooftop terrace was magical. It has an impeccable view of Crete and the fresh fish is delicious- highly recommended!

We will definitely returning in the near future and I would recommend this hotel to anyone lucky enough to visit.

We have just extended our stay at Georgioupoli Beach Hotel because this place really grows on you.
The hotel is in the perfect location, opposite the 9k sandy beach and a 2 minute walk to all local amenities and the square with its fountains. Also a pretty river nearby.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful suite - the hotel ( and everywhere at the moment on Crete) and surrounding area is quiet due to travel restrictions with COVID. However strict health and hygiene measures are in place at the hotel and there is no need for concern whatsoever. Sunbeds around the pool and seating arrangements are all socially distanced and cleaned regularly, with the staff obeying strict measures with sanitizers and masks. Everyone at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful especially the boss Mr Andonis.
Our suite has a 1.80 wide extremely comfortable bed and a great bathroom with shower and jacuzzi. A kitchenette with fridge. It is spotlessly clean. On the roof is a gym area with sauna and jacuzzis.
We have half board with breakfast and dinner served in the roof garden restaurant. A great choice of dishes all very well cooked and presented.
Thanks for making us so welcome, we shall be back and shall tell others about your hotel.
Thank you Janet and Manolis.

We spent one week in this beautiful hotel and it was probably the best holiday we ever had. We did not feel like a customer, we felt as if we were at home.

Rooms were smart, minimal, and contemporary, decorated in cool tones with modern furnishings. We also had a furnished balcony with sea view. In-room tech includes flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, fridge and AC. Our bathroom was very clean and spacious.

Georgioupolis beach hotel also have very comfortable beds and european style blankets. Staff was very friendly and professional and was happy to answer any question we had. I really enjoyed riding electric bicycle to the beach almost everyday.

The Georgioupoli Beach Hotel certainly has an impressive range of facilities, starting with a swimming pool, restaurant on the roof offering amazing view over the ocean, providing very delicious cuisine with emphasis on fresh sea food and typical Cretan products . The hotel also has two bars and beautifully designed spa offers a range of treatments as well as a jacuzzi, sauna, and an outdoor gym. Kids have colourful play area with plenty of toys and games.

We can highly recommend this place and hopefully we will be back next year.

Just returned from a week at the georgioupolis beach hotel. Was welcomed by the owner and made to feel at home immediately. We had one of the two bedroom rooms which was great as it had 2 bathrooms, kitchen, 2 fridges and 2 patio doors.

The hotel was empty (it was 25/10 - 1/11) so out of season meaning the buffet not open but you could get food/drink by the pool and very reasonable. Small water 50c, cappuccino 1.50 euros for example

The beach is literally over the road with a beautiful church accessed via a rock way. There are a multitude of restaurants available the pick of which being Mythos taverna, bibis taverna and for drink McGintys Irish bar for Guinness, chaplins and the rooftop cocktail bar in Corrisia.

Lovely to walk the beach and visit the many beach bars such as sun kiss and la Palma all serving great food and drink.

We flew into Heraklion airport which was a good 1 hour 15 mins with a return taxi costing 200 euros (couldn’t find a coach we could get due to corona).

The only negative for me (and nothing to do with hotel) is some of the local Greek men clearly have little respect for woman. My two teenage daughters being whistled and shouted at by a group in the park wasn’t pleasant and often cars cruising past slowly with the occupants leering. We certainly wouldn’t let them out by themselves

That aside the people we met in thebars and restaurants were so hospital and welcoming it was amazing.

We only stayed 2 nights before moving on but had a wonderful stay. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful, the location is perfect and the amenities for the price are incredible.

The whole hotel is spotless and the room was great. The bed was extremely comfortable, we had a small kitchenette which we used to make drinks to take out to the terrace facing onto the pool and seaview. Just a few steps away is a sandy beach and a very pleasant village with restaurants and shops.

The pool is very clean, the rooftop spa area great with a fantastic sauna, hot tubs and the sea view. The onsite restaurant is well priced and serves freshly prepared meals. There are also pool towels, bikes and even free washing machines available!

This hotel is a great base for exploring this part of the island or just relaxing on the beach. You will be made to feel very welcome and the staff will really go out of their way to make your stay a good one. We were allowed to keep our room and the day of checkout so we could travel late afternoon and make the most of the sunshine. I really do hope we will return one day.

Have just returned from 3 nights ending off my time in Crete. G Beach hotel is ideally situated and well run and welcoming . The owner Antonio and his staff were always offering to be helpful. The meals available at the bar were tasty, including delicious fish soup made by Antonio himself...which was perfect on a cloudy lunchtime.
Didn't think I would use them but in the evenings it was relaxing to use the Jacuzzi and the sauna , and to nip across the road to the sea to cool off. This hotel is perfectly located for easy access to the cafe's and restaurants around the village and it's all flat so easy walking ! Eco friendly bikes are available for hire on site and in full season I am sure the place is a buzz of energy and activity
The rooms are well appointed and mine looked over the pool.
Despite it being the very end of the season all the staff were helpful and considerate.
In full season there would be more choice available with the hotel restaurant (on the roof) open.
Thanks Antonio

What a great place to stay. We have been coming back for several years and are never disappointed. The rooms at this hotel are very comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Breakfast is great with lots of choice, setting you up for the day. With the mountains behind, a river running down the side, the sea in front of you and the village centre only a short stroll away, it’s location could not be better.

The hotel public areas are comfortable and spotlessly clean with hand sanitizer available in all areas, so no need to worry. All staff were wearing masks and we’re making sure everything was regularly cleaned.

Although travel this year has been worrying, they have definitely managed to make you feel safe and comfortable.

We always book half board since our first trip, as the rooftop restaurant has the best view, food and the most comfortable seats!

Already looking forward to our next stay.

It is very hard to tick all our boxes when looking for places to stay but this hotel is perfect and does just that. Spotlessly clean, lovely rooms with very comfortable beds and lovely staff who are always very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Being just a stone throw away from the beach is lovely and the view from the gym upstairs in the morning is stunning.

We have been there four years running and they have certainly been able to make you feel safe in the current climate with plenty of hand sanitiser around the hotel. All hotel staff are wearing mask and making sure tables are cleaned after being used.

Intend to keep coming every year! Would not stay anywhere else

After almost 4 months of lockdown back home, we needed to get away. Headed to Crete and found this absolute gem of a hotel. It’s situated a stones throw away from a lovely beach and also a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. The hotel is beautifully appointed throughout and has a gym and jacuzzi on the rooftop. There is also a rooftop bar with great views over the beach. This is where breakfast, lunch and dinner was served. The large pools were so refreshing after a day out in the hot sun. The staff were really amazing. Fluent in English and genuinely happy to help with tips and ideas for day trips. I was a little apprehensive about the COVID-19 precautions before I got here, but all measures were taken. Staff were wearing face masks, there was hand sanitizer throughout the hotel too. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay when exploring western Crete. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you Antonio and all the staff for an amazing time!! (July 2020)

Apologies for delay in responding only dip in now and again , a tourist tax is payable but unfortunately do not know the present rate. Having just returned from Rhodes in Greece we were obliged to pay a environmental tax of 10 euros a night. We were only charged 3E last year
