We stayed for a week in Feb 2023. The property is very convenient to shops, restaurants and beaches. We felt safe at all times and enjoyed the pool and outside area. There is a well stocked honesty bar which is handy if you feel like a refreshment. They have a backup generator so load-shedding did not affect our stay and we could still enjoy an air-conditioning or ceiling fan when in our room. The breakfast was good and all staff were helpful and friendly.

My daughter and I had a wonderful three night stay at Forest Manor Boutique Guest House.
The staff were welcoming, warm and helpful.
The breakfasts each morning was generous and I could ask for changes or replacements because of my diet.
Our room and bathroom was a great size, especially when I had to share with a teenager 😊
The staff went the extra mile for little things we needed which made our stay memorable and wonderful in such a beautiful part of South Africa!

A great accommodation.
Very friendly host, who gave us a tour of the guesthouse.
All rooms have their own color.

Everything beautifully and attractively decorated with a South African “touch”.
Cozy comfortable seats everywhere where you can relax if your room doesn't offer enough space.

This was my second stay at Forest Manor. I am a four star lodge owner myself and therefor know exactly what the grading council requirements are in order to qualify for 5 stars.
Sadly some are not met anymore.

Covid 19 SafeStay regulations are important to ensure a safe stay for all guests - these are non existant at Forest Manor. A bottle with sanitiser in reception is as far as it goes. A register with temperature check lies forgotten and unused on a table in the foyer. One bottle of sanistiser in reception, used at check in only, is most definately not a SafeStay. I am sure that this establishment did not even read through the requirements.

The staff are very friendly, it is a lovely establishment. It is very sad that safety requirements are not in place at all.

We are very happy with our staying in Forest Manor. The staff were polite and friendly with a smilling face. I appreciated the fact that every afternnon upon our returning to the guest house they treated us with a bottle of cool water. Our room was sparkling clean and super spacious, so was the bathroom. Literally, it was one of the biggest rooms we have ever been given in a hotel . Alhtough the breakfast buffet didnt have the variety one can find in other hoterls, it was more than enough for us and very tasty. Finally, we were amazed by the peacefulness of the neighborhood . Ideal for travelers seeking relaxation.

One of the best hotels we ever stayed in! (And visit close to 40 hotels a year) The staff was very friendly going out of their way to make us comfortable. Upon arrival a very large man (I think the owner) immediatelly helped us with our heavy luggage although I suggested to carry them myself. A smaller and younger woman helped us check in and even made a delicious breakfast package at 22u for the following morning, which we needed for a day trip to the Sani pass. Lastly the room was perfect and very luxurious. We could not ask for more!

Hi Debbie. We currently have availability for you during the time requested. If check-out will be on the morning of the 30th the cost for 7 days would be R79800 for 10 adults and 2 babies including breakfast. We are close to Umhlanga and the beach, however you would need to drive to Umhlanga beach if you would like to swim as there are no lifeguards at the beach closest to us. This is about 5 minutes away.
