Surrounded by greenery and woods, the complex presents itself architecturally as a mix between Gaudì and Mondrian. Very large, many rooms, large spa area with various pools both inside and outside, one with direct passage into the water. Despite the presence of daily entrances, the structure is always enjoyable. The pools of the Vulkania spring are very beautiful, with a high mineral content and almost salty water. Bathrobe and towels are changed without problem. Simply furnished room, without balcony, with TV (Italian channels are shown that you can't actually see) mini bar (a bottle of water on the day of arrival then for a fee, 5 euros 750 dl). Heating turned on very sparingly, in the morning then after 7pm for a few hours even though it is the end of November and the outside temperature is around -3 to 3 degrees, but in the room and in the other rooms it is still not cold. Bathroom obviously without bidet and without shower. Buffet breakfast and dinner, varied breakfast, more savory than sweet, dinner with various options, including a pasta "station", a little too cooked for our tastes but acceptable. Various breakfast/dinner rooms, some better than others. Underground parking. Definitely an excellent quality/price ratio.
PS: ice buffet written on the menu in Italian makes you shudder…. ice cream buffet (ice cream)

Nice, professional reception, nice room with everything you need, rooms and bathing areas uniquely designed thanks to Hundertwasser with many different offers, half board is obligatory, the buffet is well-stocked and mostly of good quality and quantity, the wines are reasonably priced. However, on none of the three evenings was the meat for the main course tender, it would be difficult to get such a quantity better (?), well-trained staff, quick and friendly despite the large crowds

Therme Blumau is simply an experience and a must-see. Something special and unique to stay in such a work of art.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast and dinner are TOP
Enough choice for everyone, anyone who says otherwise should fast or stay at home. The hotel can't be blamed for the so-called "queues" at the buffet, that's more down to the guests who criticize the buffet ;-) There isn't just one buffet but two where the same thing is offered to avoid "traffic jams".
At dinner it is possible to order a special dish for a small extra charge if you are allergic to almost everything.
All rooms are equipped with fly screens and there is a bottle of mineral water in the room as a welcome. Of course, there is a different welcome drink on arrival at reception.
The thermal baths are open to hotel guests from 7:00 a.m., day guests arrive at 9:00 a.m. If you want to reserve a cozy lounger you have to take this into account when booking because otherwise they are fully booked. The thermal baths themselves are very clean and children are also welcome. There is also a children's pool, although it must be said that there are not many children in the spa as it is not a children's spa, so the noise level is very low.
It is also possible to take drinks into the "Melchiorbecken" pool.
This is the second time we have been there and we cannot find any faults and you can overlook small things.

Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the thermal baths and the hotel.
We booked an apartment in the Augenschlitzhaus for 3 people. 2 of the 3 houses can be booked for guests with dogs. We arrived without a dog but were booked into a dog house anyway. When we checked into the room, we were shocked to be honest. A tiny room, everything was very old. For the 3rd guest there was only a sofa bed, but it costs almost as much as if you were booking a double room and a single room separately. The walls in the room were very thin, you could hear the dogs barking all day long, in the morning and at night... from the house you then have to walk 200m along a muddy and hilly path to the thermal baths. Everything in the thermal baths is very full, the loungers are very close together. If you don't reserve a lounger in the morning, you can assume that you won't get one because the day guests are already there. Unfortunately, we didn't really relax. The food was OK but for the price we expected more. All in all, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience and we won't be coming back.

On the advice of friends we wanted to try these "emblazoned" spas instead of the Slovenian ones that we usually frequent. We confirm the architectural charm of the structure, a little dated but well maintained. Elegant restaurant and very nice bar room with refined and old-fashioned plants, armchairs etc. Decent cuisine (first courses and desserts not that great but we Italians are perhaps too used to it...), typical Austrian second courses which are quite refined, aimed I believe at local tastes... anyway there is no risk of being left hungry. The most positive aspects, compared to Slovenia, are the friendliness and kindness of all the staff and the warmer water of the pools, especially the Vulkania area. But let's get to the negative sides. I find it unacceptable in a quality structure (..and price..!!) like this one that one day they forgot to redo the room (cleaning, bed, towels etc) and wiped it away with a banal "we're sorry .." at the reception. The TV in the room does not broadcast any channels in Italian (even though at least 4 channels were reported in the guide...) and although, once reported, they had to send a technician, no one showed up or heard from him. The last thing I would like to point out is the absolute absence of road signs for the facility...once the navigator takes you to Blumau you just have to hope to spot the spiers of the structure seen on the internet (..if you arrive during the day with light...). All the other details are largely compensated by the positive aspects... however, I personally recommend it... at least once if you accept the unexpected..!!

I have been to Roget Bad Blumau before, the establishment is very nice. However this time, they would not accommodate me. I was passing through the area with my cousin and wanted to show her how nice this place is. We wanted to take a 3-4hour pass for pool area like most thermal spas in Europe offer. We were told at reception that the 3 hour pass only starts as of 1st June, which is in 2 days. They did not give us the option even when asked to speak to a manager. Very poor customer service if you ask me. I live in Canada so don’t have many opportunities to visit, they said the only option was to pay full price at 54€ per person. Paying 108€ for 3 hours to me is a waste. It’s a nice thermal spa, but have also been to better for cheaper.

We recently visited the Bad Blumau thermal baths with our grandchildren after booking online and we were all extremely disappointed. First the plus points: it is a beautiful, spacious complex in Hundertwasser design. Bathrobes and towels are free. Now the disadvantages: there are not enough loungers for day visitors, when it rained we sometimes spent time outside under the parasol because there were no loungers left inside. When it wasn't raining, there was no space outside. There are few lockers, the complex is confusing. The car park is at least a 10-minute walk from the entrance (with a bathing bag). The shuttle has space for 4 people and has a long break in the late afternoon. Our grandchildren (8 and 11) were also very disappointed. We paid €178 for the day tickets and, given our modest experience, we think this is quite overpriced. Perhaps the experience is better if you are a hotel guest and don't have to take refuge under the parasol or in the restaurant when it rains. We won't be coming back.

And my fourth time confirms that the place is top! Clean rooms - this time we were in the 2 room suite in the family building (purple)
I noticed that dinner has improved... breakfast is always unsurpassed and the restaurant manager is cheerful and helpful. Also new discovery that cigarettes are sold at the reception. The top staff, from the women on the floors to the restaurant and the pools. Already booked for New Year's Eve

The whole concept of the hotel and the therme are just great. Due to the type of architecture perhaps it feels a bit crowded around the pools but it’s a manageable thing once you get into the rhythm. The rooms are beautifully designed and with its own charm. Dinner and breakfast are in the same dinning room, the offer is buffet for both services.

Bad Blumau simply cannot be beaten. It started with an evening entrance, and now we are regular guests every 2 months with overnight stay and every 2 weeks with day or evening entrance. The journey is long from Carinthia, but it is worth it. We have tried many thermal baths in Carinthia/Styria, but there is nothing like Blumau. High praise, you can see that not only the guests are extremely satisfied, but also the staff. Hospitality, service, discretion and culinary delights are still very important here. High praise from the entire staff. We like to come back again and again

The last time I visited Rogner Bad Blumau in mid-August was in 2004 for my wife's 40th birthday. More recent visits have been at other times of year. I don't recall it being too busy in mid-August as a result of day visitors from outside. I presume that guests resident in the hotel would take priority over day visitors from outside and Rogner Bad would limit the number of day visitors to avoid the resort being overrun. However, you would have to contact Rogner Bad directly for a specific answer to your question.

Due to the insufficiently-developed ability of small children to regulate their body temperature, the law only allows them to bathe in thermal water from the age of 6 upwards, for their own protection. At Rogner Bad Blumau, the wave pool in the outdoor spa (fresh water) and the childrens pool for the smallest children in the indoor spa (also fresh water) are both available for the use of children under 6. For this reason they have free entrance to the spa (except sauna). Something special for our very young guests: Children up to 5 years are staying free of charge when sharing room with accompanying adult; if half board is booked by adult, children will also be eligible to half-board free of charge.
