We had a pleasant dinner at Queens Casino this evening. The Casino is small but well kept. The pond is well stocked with large koi.

The menu is limited but affordable. The Casino is situated on the way out of town towards East London.

We stayed here one night (overnight stop). Hotel is okay. Rooms are quite dark, aircon did not work at all. The nearby restaurant offers fast food. With the only salad on the menu they really had issues. In the end I got a Chicken salad without chicken. Breakfast is good. Hotel is clean.

My husband and I arrived late on a very cold Friday evening of the 26th Aug 2016 and we were greeted by a dirty reception area and an unwelcoming female receptionist who was reading her study book. She looked at us as if we have come in to beg to sleep and yet our accommodation was booked well in advance.

We then paid for the night and proceeded to our room. We were greeted by a very dirty stained carpet in the passage way and upon opening our room we were again greeted by a very dirty smelly stained carpet that smelt like urine. The blankets were old ,smelly ,dirty and not well kept. When I questioned housekeeping, the response I got was "they have spoken to management and management does not care or does not want to do any changes. The linen was also stained. The shower was dirty as well the bath tub was small and it looked like a coffin shape.

Next morning we had breakfast. It's really nothing to rave about and it was not appetising at all for a 4star hotel.

We left after breakfast because we were attending a funeral. We took our valuables because the hotel was really very shady. After the funeral we went back to the hotel room 102 which we used the previous night only to find that they have put new guests I our room and yet we did not book ourselves out and we left with the key card in the morning. We were then told by another receptionist by the name of Vusi that he did not know that we would be back. I then said to him I booked for a weekend surely that should count for something especially that we did not book our selves out. He then put us in another room.

We then went to the casino restaurant and the price of R175 for a very dry and unappetising buffet which was limited we thought it was a rip off. We then went to.the bar area and there the service was equally bad so we left and ordered room service. Our chicken looked cooked from the outside till we were cutting it to eat only to find that it was literally raw inside which could have poisoned us, yet still the staff wanted us to pay for it which I refused and they wanted to offer us desert instead. In short the staff there only do the work because they need a job but they are all not passionate and we were told management does not care that is why Tsogo sun is pulling out from that casino. The hotel should be graded a 0 star it's really not up to standard of a 4 star. I will never go there again and will not recommend it to anyone it's over priced for a crappy service

My hubby and myself live in Queenstown and we were on leave for 3week's . We have a 3yr old and a 1yr old, There's really not much to do with the kiddies in Queenstown, so we thought we'd take them to the games centre and park. The children had a blast and so did my husband, teaching my son how all the games work (car's and bikes). We had a lovely walk around and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be taking the kiddies back and as soon as we can organise a babysitter we will be having date night at the Queens Casino.

Stayed here for one night whilst in Queenstown on business. The hotel is a no frills place with spacious rooms - unfortunately internet not available in the rooms - , a decent breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel is right next to the casino where one is directed for dinner. This was not very impressive, though the sports bar, also in the casino had a good vibe going. The breakfast was nice with a good variety and quality. The hotel reminded me a bit of the City Lodge hotels I stay in frequently when travelling; always OK, but never blows your socks off. OK for a good night's sleep.
