Booked into this B&B through Booking.com which I missed offered with or without breakfast. It is not immediately obvious and a failing on part of Booking.com. We stayed in Room 1 which was large and had all the amenities for both business and holiday travel. Just watch the step into room and bathroom. Curtains across sliding door into room do not block out outside light both artificial and natural, so be prepared to sleep in semi twilight. No safe in room? Breakfast was good and hospitality from Patricia was also good. To Note: No hot water in the morning for showering, not only us suffered the same fate, one other guest that we knew off, had same problem (You would get short squirt of hot water then nothing else) which they said would address, no real concern shown? Hate that to happen in middle of winter.

This place is great - so quiet, safe and peaceful. My colleague and I spent 3 nights here while on a busy work trip. The staff are so kind and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very well equipped with A/C, comfortable beds, tea, coffee, biscuits, lovely big bathroom and good WiFi; everything that you need really. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for having us, enkosi kakhulu!

I recommend this establishment for various reasons. There is a beautiful big swimming pool, which is always a must in the summer in Queenstown. The rooms are neat, modern and practical. Everything you need is there: Air-con, electric blanket, iron, ironing board, bar fridge, microwave, cutlery & crockery, even a chocolate and a biscuit waiting for you every afternoon! :) There is always more than enough coffee, tea, etc. There is always an extra role of toilet paper and toilet spray. The free wi-fi is unlimited. The showers always have hot water and the pressure is perfect. My five colleagues and I keep on returning to Tranquil, because we are happy with the standard and the friendly, helpful attitude of the owner. The B&B is situated in a nice long avenue, so I enjoy taking a nice brisk walk up to the top and back. You will definitely be seeing us again Corne. Thank you for everything!! :)

Room Tip: I have stayed in room 1, 2 and 5. Room 1 and 2 are bigger than 5, but they are all on the same...

I visit Queenstown several times a year on business trips and prefer to stay in a semi self catering room - microwave and fridge. Tranquil House is perfect - it is safe, secure, has clean rooms with Selected DSTV channels. The owner and Manageress are extremely friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable during your stay.
