Set in the tranquil farmland of the Eastern Free State, The Fat Mulberry offers luxurious self-catering accommodation surrounded by farm life - chickens, geese, ponies, cats and dogs. The Fat Mulberry has breath-taking views of the Maluti Mountains. Just outside of Fouriesburg town and close to the renowned Clarens and Afri-Ski, the Fat Mulberry is perfectly situated. With 5 stylish apartments, and a total of 10 bedrooms, the Fat Mulberry is the idyllic option for all - business people, couples on a romantic getaway, and get-togethers of families and friends. We can accommodate up to 19 guests plus there is room too for young children on mattresses or in cots. Each boutique-style apartment is individually decorated with beautiful and unusual furnishings. All the apartments have a fireplace and electric blankets for the cold winter evenings. Wi-Fi, DStv and braai facilities are available for each apartment. The apartments are sericed daily.

What a wonderful time we had, we booked into the 3 bed Maluti house. As you walk in you are greeted by an exquisite backdrop full of greenery and breathtaking mountains. The house is well equipped, from the kitchen to the entertainment joys such as Netflix, boardgames and a pool table to name a few. If you are looking for a place to rest and reset this is definitely it...thank you to Margie who is an amazing host.

My stay here was excellent. Very neat place and Margie is such an angel. This is the perfect place if you want to get away from the city and its noise. I grew closer to God than I ever was before, using this alone time to spend with Him. I would absolutely recommend The Fat Mulberry!

the host is very friendly, pro active, she sent us location prior to our travelling. fat mulberry is very clean and beautiful. i love her style. her style took us to back in the 50s but in a modern way, we travelled with family and our city babies could see real animals that they see on youtube.

We were welcomed to this beautiful place by Margie and her staff. The accommodation is beautifully appointed with views of The Maluti Mountains. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful part of the world.
