We have just returned from this wonderful place and we are delighted. The main points in favor of this lodge are the amazing views of the private reserve where you can see impalas, nyalas and even velvet monkeys from your terrace all the time, also the location is very good to visit Addo Elephant Park and private game reserves (Pumba, Amakhala, Sibuya and Kariega).

The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, including a lounge where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The bathroom is modern style, practical and clean. We had a lovely terrace where we saw the astonishing african sunset, listening the song of the birds.

The breakfast was delicious, deserving special mention the eggs with bacon, mushrooms and sausage that accompanied the coffee, toast and a different juice. Almost every day we enjoyed seeing the meerkats playing and feeding at our feet, pure nature !!!

Also the dinners were very tasty, especially the pumpkin and the differents meats, accompanied by a delicious south african red wine. Service and attention was brilliant.

Rinda, Eric and Jean Pierre are fantastic. Thank you very much Rinda for being so lovely and helping us to arrange each day trip and make sure that everything was perfect. Eric always ready for driving us everywhere. And finally Jean Pierre, thanks for the fantastic quad safari for your reserve where we saw many antelopes, zebras, wildebeest and jiraffes. Each of you have made us to enjoy every moment of a country as wonderful as it´s South Africa.

Definitely, we recommend Nduna Lodge for those that are looking for a quiet and beautiful place and a familiar and attentive service. We think that it is a great choice of accommodation in Addo area to visit the Elephant Park and Private Game Reserves as well as the Port Elisabeth area.

Greetings and thanks for everything. This has been undoubtedly our best trip!!!!

Isabel and Javier

We have visited Nduna Lodge 5 times since March 2008 and every time we had a great time. The first time we went with our family of 4, the other visits we brought along other families. Only an 1 hour drive from PE, it is for us the perfect getaway spot, the kids enjoy themselves tremendously with the tennis court, pool, jungle gym, trampoline, safe big grass area and covered playroom. The parents either relax with a book and enjoy the views, socialize or / and don't miss out on big sport events on TV. The biggest adventure is the guided quadbike drives, which are different and special every time. Or do the nightdrive with a warm blanket and a glass of sherry, while the staff looks after the younger kids sleeping. Staff is superb, food excellent. There is something for everyone in the family! Very good value for money. Go check it out for yourself!

This is a terrific place. Each visit seems better than the last, if it could be so. Tarryn and Willem De Villiers cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. The food was excellent (as usual) and this time I took away Tarryn's recipe for baked eggs with cheese. These served with bacon for breakfast are superb. As was everything else that appeared on my plate! Bar prices are very reasonable. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Tarryn & Willem for yet another great stay at a superb Lodge. See you soon!!

Tarryn and Willem were great hosts! Nothing was too much trouble! Sandile an attentive barman. The highlight of our trip was the amazing quad bike game viewing. Fun and exhilarating! The communal facilities were fabulous! The pool, games room and bar area- warm and inviting. We had the establishment to ourselves- which was wonderful for us but in hindsight spoke volumes.
We felt it fell far short of the advertised 4* In every aspect. We booked two family rooms which were way below standard. The first room was small and badly maintained. The second was slightly bigger but both units had no view and we're soulless. The food, although tasty and hearty was more in keeping with a farm house than a luxury game lodge.
We found it way overpriced for what it is.

Visited in January 2013 for a strategic planning two-day getaway with 10 colleagues. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed, and most boast fantastic views. We secured a very good rate and were not disappointed. The meals are basic but tasty, but don't expect a la carte or a fine dining experience. There is a small swimming pool that is good enough to just cool down as it can get hot here over summer. The rooms all had AC's and all but one worked well. This was however quickly resolved. We sometimes had to look for the staff as the lodge is run on a minimum staff complement, but every dealing with them was positive and polite.

So if you need a basic place in a lovely setting with nice rooms friendly service that is clean, comfortable and affordable, then I think this is a good option.

i researched many gaming lodges looking for an affordable but memorable gaming lodge for 6 university students who only had 2 days..."This place is gorgeous.
The Lodge was amazing it was secluded and about an hour away from any city. We had the 10 room lodge to ourselves. . .We had a three course meal both nights which were awesome. In one day we managed to go on 3 safaris. One where we road ATVs through Africa. One where we drove through and saw animals and one where we got to pet both baby lions and lions around 150 lbs! That evening before dinner we went fishing and I only caught one fish but it was the biggest 1. That night we went to a college town about 40 minutes away and we had a great time, all the students in SA were awesome ..." Tammi - thank you for the great time you showed the 6 students and for taking care of mailing my sons computer cords he left behind. You have been a pleasure to work with! thank you sincerely! i booked this on [--]

Stayed for six days then returned for another three! That is how good it is. The welcome given by Tarryn and Willem, mine hosts, could not be exceeded. A superb Lodge with superb people. Can't wait to go again!! Food is first class and the bar boasts an excellent choice of drinks and wine.

The rooms were well serviced, with little treats delivered each night. However, with power outages every other night without notice or candles provided, this makes for an unsatisfactory stay. This power outages also affects the water supply, load shedding or power outages can be expected in South Africa but guests MUST be notified as a sign of professionalism. The other services provided are weak as Sandile was taking on too many responsibilities.

Thank you for your valued feedback, we are open to any suggestions and wish to improve as much as we possibly can Wonderful that you were happy with the accommodation, service and treats, thank you for the positive feedback! I would however wish to bring to your attention that we were also unfortunately not informed of any power outages, and it had occurred twice during your stay. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, and rest assured, the owners are busy evaluating the options for alternative water supply, as our water supply is indeed affected by power outages. We do not offer candles in the rooms due to the risk of fire, we have however supplied Consol solar jars in all rooms instead which are fully charged each day Not sure of which other services you refer to, please feel free to communicate them with me, and we will be happy to improve Once again thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it!

Just had a fabulous week at Nduna where nothing was too much trouble for Willem and Tarryn. From the quad bike safari to see the giraffes and many more animal quite close up to the deep sea fishing and everything in between it was a full week but still plenty of time for sun and relaxing, The food was brilliant and plentiful and the drink very free flowing. The room ,which was spacious and very well appointed, had lovely views over the valley and we saw some gorgeous sunsets

Home from a fabulous hunting safari based at Nduna Lodge. The accommodation is relaxed and comfortable with beautiful views stretching for miles. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who took great care of us from laundering our clothes to providing delicious plentiful meals and never emptying wine glasses!

In between hunting trips, Nduna arranged for us to visit several game reserves including a river trip and a sea fishing trip where, in addition to catching a full haul, we saw the whales jumping and playing in the distance. We also went on a quad safari which was great fun, riding out to view the Impala and Kudu, amongst others.

Thank you to all the staff and guests for making our holiday so memorable. We had an amazing time and look forward to visiting again.
