At Anahita Golf & Spa Resort, the service garners considerable applause for its exceptional staff, though the experience can vary. The hotel's atmosphere is widely regarded as tranquil, offering a serene escape with thoughtful touches. While the majority of guests commend the cleanliness and the well-appointed, spacious rooms, some suggest a need for updates. The resort's abundant amenities and dining options are often highlighted as highlights of a luxurious stay. However, opinions on value for money diverge, with some guests feeling the costs outweigh the benefits.

Our stay at Anahita came after our quarantine and it provided a comfortable base for our travels around the island. It is not only in a good location but it provides the key amenities that allow you to be very comfortable during your stay- a washing machine, hob, oven and any kitchen gadgets you need that they can possibly provide! The turndown service was excellent as it meant we could cook without worrying about the clean up which was incredible. The housekeeping team did a great job consistently. Understandably, there were some small teething problems after the flat had not been used for 2 years during COVID but they quickly resolved any issues and went above and beyond in compensating us for our inconvenience- up to their 5* standard! In fact, they even offered to have someone pack our bags should we want it! The food options were nice (and catered for our vegetarian needs off the menu). A highlight was the free boat to Il Aux Cerfs which is a stunning beach. Though lunch here is expensive, it is stunning and the water is clear (though beware of sea urchins at high tide). The team even helped us take some sea urchins out of our feet when we got stung so a special thanks to Manoj and the two kids club ladies that helped us! Overall, a very pleasant stay and would recommend the sea view rooms for a stunning view (just note that the plunge pool is not heated so only really used in summer).

This is a really special hotel where guests come back year after year. The accommodation is fantastic, especially for families. The deluxe villas are laid out really well, with their own pool. We loved having breakfast brought to our villa in the mornings (at no extra charge), having it all laid out for us on the table whilst the kids played happily in the pool.

The buffet style restaurant in the evening was fantastic and included in half board. We never got bored of going to the same restaurant because every evening the buffet was a different style of food. There were sushi nights, Mauritian nights, Seafood nights to name just a few. The food was cooked in front of us by the fantastic chefs. The chocolate fountain with marshmallow sticks was a particular hit with our kids.

The main pool is really well designed for families. There are two pools right next to each other, one shallow enough for our kids to be able to stand in whist still enjoying a good swim. It is a beach style pool so even the smallest children can enjoy it whilst the adults can swim in relative peace in the deeper pool.

The beach at the hotel is nice enough and the water sports guys are there to provide any water sports that you could want. The really lovely beach though is a short boat ride away. The beach at Ille de Cerfs is breathtaking. Take shoes to wear in the water though because there were some sea urchins loitering when we were there.

The element that makes this hotel particularly special though is the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The service is really amazing, unlike anywhere I have stayed before, and we have stayed in some nice hotels. It is something to do with the friendliness of the staff at the hotel. From the guys by the pool who knew exactly how we liked our iced coffees to the catering manager who made sure we always had just the right table in the restaurant. They really couldn't do enough and they did it all with such warmth and charm. Even the approaching cyclone with the rain and cloudy skies of our last few days on the island couldn't dampen our enthusiasm of this wonderful resort.

For golfers this is heaven but the hotel beach on Ile aux Cerfs (a short boat ride away) is a beautiful tropical location and does great lunches. The staff couldn't be nicer and we stayed in a sea view property which was essentially a fully apppointed 3 bedroomed apartment , ie enough room for a big family. And even on the first floor there was a mini plunge pool on our private balcony. We enjoyed the food and the restaurants and the range of tastes and styles available was increased by the frequent buffet options, including venison and the best and largest grilled prawns you've ever had.

We spent 2 nights/3 days at Anahita Resort where my husband was participating in a golf competition. From the time we made the booking the service was professional - Kusum is so welcoming.

It was an excellent experience even though the resort was not full operational given the pandemic and hence it was very quiet.

To ensure we enjoyed our stay the staff was attentive to all our needs and gave us an exceptional service, always willing to assist in a very professional and friendly manner. Kudos to Mr Soon for always ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. Thanks to his team for the great service they gave us.

Food was just amazing - the products served are of a very high quality and the menu, though limited, was very tasty and delicious. Big thanks to Chef Rishi and his team.

The Golf course is one of the best on the island and the golf team was also very helpful.

We highly recommend this resort and are looking forward to our next stay. We hope the resort becomes fully operational soon and we can enjoy it to the max.

Congrats to the whole Anahita team..keep it up !

Lovely hotel, friendly and attentive staff and attractive setting.

The downside was being asked make a gratuity every meal, even buffet breakfast., even though on half board. Would prefer to to make one staff contribution at the end of the stay.

The food could be better and being limited to a single restaurant out of four for lunch with the same menu every day became a bit “ samey”. Lunchtime snack options would be a welcome addition.

None of this is to detract from giving this most beautiful and luxurious hotel a top rating. My comments are just for areas to further enhance the stay.

One final comment. A directory of services in the room would be a big plus and we found the concierge service bordering on the shambolic.

It was a last minute decision and we booked a package with EMIRATES Holidays from Dubai.
The apartment - Prestige Suite Ocean view - was a 3 BDRs with huge living room, kitchen, terrasse with small pool (a bit cold).
We were on half board.
Apartment was terrific with a great layout.
Dinner were good except last night at the Italian restaurant where the Spanish buffet was a bit disappointing.
Swimming pools are big and nice but not realy waoooh.
We had very good time with the boat house team.
Special mention to Theresa, Richard the skipper, and Michael.
It is high end and prices are accordingly but if we can we will come back.

We stayed in Anahita for 4 nights with a golf package. Let me say - Im just blown away and amazed with everything. We had golf view villa booked but for the first 3 nights they offered us a sea view villa that was more than enormous size for the two of us.

We had half board option for food. Food is just delightful and by the looks they could serve it in Michelin. Staff was very concerned about my husbands food restricitions and they even offered us food off the main dinner menu. We did not need to do that because buffee had so many lovely options for every taste.

Golf course for me it was more relaxing and fun than on ile aux cerfs (that i also enjoyed, but that course needs focus) Anahita offered beautiful views with nice wide fairways to just relax and not worry about planning your game strategy.

In the conclusion - we loved everything and we cannot wait to come back!!

Best regards,
Liisa from Estonia

This is an ideal hotel for golf players with two great golf courses and free green fees, golf cart and practice balls every day. Of course you can also enjoy nice beaches and free water sport activities. Quite good service and friendly staff.
We found the hotel a little “too sterile and clinical” to our taste. The place is missing cozyness… bar areas, restaurants and buildings are in modern design without warmth, coziness and local athosphere as we have enjoyed at many other 4 or 5-star hotels in Mauritious. The hotel looks like most standard high end hotels in large cosmopolitan cities around the world. And only 2-3 restaurants is not enough when you spend a week there. We were glad that we had a rental car so we could go to restaurants outside the hotel. We recommend the Green Island Beach restaurant or Chez Tony in Trou d’eau Douce approx. 15 min. from the hotel.
If you stay in one of the rooms ‘Junior Suite Garden View’ there is quite a distance to the restaurants, reception and beach activities. You can walk (15 min.) or wait for the shuttle that passes by every 15 min.

What a lovely place for a holiday, or in our case a honeymoon.
Great for families or couples. Nothing was too much and ALL the staff were very friendly.

Soon and his team in the restaurant and bar were amazing. Special requests were no problem. Always service with a smile and a chat.

Clarel worked the bar with his team and knew just knew what u wanted. Even making up a cocktail, making u feel that little extra special.
Loved a chat when time permitted haha.

Videsh worked around the pool area. Special touches of a flag at your sun lounger, so you didn't have to move was astounding. Service with a smile as with all other staff. Big united fan, which made my husbands stay even better as he had some one to talk to.

Everyone soon got to know you that worked here and walking around, we were greeted with staffs hands on hearts and a good morning etc etc.

The final luxury other than everything at The Anahita, was the shuttle bus around the complex. We enjoyed our walks to dinner, but after a full belly, a lift home was needed.

We both played golf, both here and at Ile Aux Cert. The touches of water in ur buggy and then pampered when off the course with a wet face cloth and free of charge club cleaning service was brilliant.

This place was never ending, with what the staff did for you.

Highly recommend and would go back repeatedly.

Golf was first class, dining extremely good and staff charming. The villa was well situated and worked for the family. However the big flaw was the housekeeping. I had to request clean sheets and on another request they were not provided, sometimes dirty towels were replaced. For this reason I wouldn’t return to Anahita

The main attraction is the golf course. I would advice against selecting this destination if you have have kids of that age. There are some water sports available but not really suitable for them. The beach on the Ile de Cerf is beautiful but the swimming area is very shallow with a lot of sea urchin's. So not really suited to play and swim. When you go further from the coast you can swim but this is reserved for boats. On the positive side there is a kidsclub (club Escape) and the food in both restaurants is nice and very diverse. Which mean that you should be able to find something to everyone liking. We didn't use the club when we where there so I would strongly advice getting in touch with the resort to make sure if it is open.
