At the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, guests are enamored with the picturesque ocean views and the resort's tranquil, tropical atmosphere, ideal for unwinding. The range of amenities, including dining options and beach access, frequently earn high marks, although there have been suggestions for updates. While many visitors commend the cleanliness and professional service, experiences with room quality and service consistency vary. Some guests find the secluded location a drawback when wishing to explore local attractions. Opinions on value also differ, with some questioning the cost relative to their experience.

Beautiful 5 star complex, we were upgraded for the 20th anniversary to a 3 room pool garden villa no. 217 with 2 fully furnished bedrooms including extra bathroom and toilet, a complete kitchen and a huge living room, in both bedrooms and living room a flat screen TV with RTL and Deutsche Welle - pool, garden, outdoor shower and covered terrace like in paradise - absolutely beautiful privacy with a lot of space.
Great, good food in all restaurants, Indian was the least to our liking, but also the cheapest.... Concierge Chinan was a dream no matter what you want or transfer with the buggy - complex is very spacious or reservation of a typical restaurant outside the complex, everything super fast and extremely reliable and friendly, room service and cleaning perfectly unobtrusive, fast and attentive. Pool and pool service very nice and attentive, beach on the offshore island as you imagine Mauritius with white sandy beach definitely recommended at least once. We can absolutely recommend it even if it is of course in a very high price range. THANK YOU to everyone, you made our anniversary unforgettable.

Overall a very nice place! The complex is very spacious and enchanted and beautifully landscaped. Pure paradise!
Even the villa with small pool leaves nothing to be desired. Very nicely decorated , large bathroom with great open-air shower (there is of course also a rain shower and bathtub inside:) ). Our villa had a great view of the lagoon!
The staff is also very friendly and nice so you feel very comfortable!
We ate in the various restaurants every evening and it we each time very good and priced perfectly fine. Whether Japanese, Indian, Italian , steak or seafood: everyone gets their money's worth!
The pool landscape is wonderful! The beach at the hotel is rather medium, as the hotel is located in a lagoon, and you don't have the sea feeling directly. But there is a great private beach of the hotel on the Ile aux Cerfs, which can be reached in 5 minutes with free boat shuttle! This small private island is really awesome! Great sandy beach, crystal clear sea and you are to yourself and yet has a great care with nice beach bar through the hotel. Rarely had such a great beach and surroundings as on the Ile aux Cerfs!
Weak points in the hotel were the breakfast, which only went until 10:00. Here it would be good if it went - as usual - until 11:00. The a la carte dishes at breakfast were great, the buffet we found a bit boring and not very varied. But that's high-level whining.
Unfortunately, something went wrong with our booked transport to the airport and the driver was not there early in the morning, but the hotel then quickly organized an alternative and organized us a VIP service at the airport in parallel, which took care of everything around luggage and check-in for us. In addition, the hotel sent us a large “Sorry package” home afterwards, and we were very pleased about the presents. That's Four Seasons - Style at its best again, if something doesn't work out, that a Four Seasons solves the error immediately pragmatically and here also sends a nice gesture of apology to you!
Overall a hotel, which you can highly recommend !

Our holiday at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius was wonderful. The service, the room (villa), the pool, the food etc. We were spoiled all around. The WhatsApp service of the front desk works smoothly, you always get an immediate reply. We were there for a special occasion and the hotel appreciated that accordingly with a cake and a wine. The hotel's biggest treasure, however, is the staff. No matter who you spoke to or met, everyone was always friendly, attentive and attentive, always with a smile and trying to make the stay perfect for the guest.

My wife and I spent some time at the Four Seasons Mauritius for our honeymoon, after spending some time on the other side of the island.

The resort feels different as soon as you enter the private gates at the Anahita complex, a sense that you’re away from the hustle and bustle of life, driving through roads lined with beautiful trees and houses.

As you pull into the property, you’re given a sense of what you’re in for. Beautiful and perfectly kept, imposing yet comfortable. Immediately we were greeted by name as someone opened our car door and showed us inside. We were warmly greeted, and our special occasion recognized, served some refreshing drinks, with my wife given some beautiful flowers. Our room was not ready, but we were given a rundown of the property and invited to explore, get a drink or eat. We had an amazing lunch at Bambou, and explored around, until someone found us (in person!) and told showed us to our room, where our bags already were.

The rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed, and relaxing. The bed is amazingly comfortable. There is a large closet with double doors with room for all your clothes etc. The open concept bathroom with the sliding wall overlooking the living area, was great, as was the outdoor shower. Lots of natural night due to all the windows. Nightly turndown service was nice, making it nice to just relax before bed. The outdoor patio was perfect for relaxing, eating breakfast, or enjoying the sun.

All the food options we tried were amazing. Bambou, room service breakfast, Chatkar, Umi Zaka, and our favourite Lazy Fish (get the platter).

The beach and pool areas are top notch, with amazing, almost psychic service. They know what you want before you even ask. Drinks and food at the pool are easy, and relaxing. We spent a day at Ile Aux Cerfs and didn’t want to leave. White sand, warm water, amazing food and drinks. Go check it out.

Water sports are complimentary, and we opted to pay for a guided snorkelling tour, at a local reef area, and were rewarded with amazing fish, a turtle, and the bluest water you’ve ever seen.

Spa treatments make you feel like time stopped for a moment. Only wish I had booked it during the day so I could take advantage of the views from the overwater suites.

All in all an amazing few days thanks to the whole four seasons experience. We will definitely return.

What a total disaster of a hotel, poorly run, terrible service, inedible food, staff that lies to customers and those are the high points!!

We stayed in a two bedroom villa, one of the beds REEKED of pee, absolutely reeks of the stuff. Wasn’t the linen, was the bed itself. You would need not to be able to smell not to notice.

Everywhere you go they ask you for your room number, at breakfast I was asked if it was my first or second cup of coffee hahahahha. My son had to restrain me!

The food is not good in any of the restaurants. See my review of uppercut. We all lost weight so think of it as a place to go to slim down. We were ordering bread baskets and butter to the room at the end of the holiday.

I’m sorry but very little about this resort is FourSeasons. Nothing actually.

At the beach a couple were screaming that the boat man left them stranded for over an hour having said he would wait for them as long as they wanted!

Just a litany of disasters from start to finish. If you go, tattoo ur room number on your forehead, it’s easier.

Be sure to bring insect repellent otherwise they will enjoy dinners more than you will.

Room service is good but the food is limited and not good. The mini bar has nothing you would like to eat and the most limited selection I have ever seen.

I asked for salt and vinegar crisps and they brought onion and tomato. 😒

I got a call from the manager on the last night who said he would come meet me, I got the front desk manager who was polite but you could tell he drew the short straw and simply nodded and said he would blah blah blah.

In short, never again, not for us.

I must have stayed at at least ten Four Seasons in recent history - this was the worst. By far. In my father’s word’s “this is not four seasons”. I should’ve listened to the bad reviews I read, the positive ones are evidently from people who did not go in expecting Four Seasons service.

I stayed with my parents and four young children. The service made me feel like I was the employee. Its the sort of hotel where you make a request and it takes 3 follow ups and a few hours for the soap you ordered to come to the room. 0 consistency as well - the restaurants are run like diners such that you shouldn’t even expect a full glass of water by your side at any point. Staff will speak to you rushingly because they want to take calls on their phones. They have no idea how to talk to guests or even pretend like their happy. I had staff blatantly lie to me over the course of the trip multiple times (even over stupid things like weather they had a disposable bag I could use). Everyone apart from the two Egyptians working at the restaurants a fellow by the name of Roshan deserve to be fired and blacklisted from ever working at five star hotels again. Staff also can’t even speak proper english, bizzare when thats the official language of the country. Service was not five star, but minus five star.

You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Stay far, far away. You’ll get better service at the Holiday Inn. Shame because the resort is quite beautiful but my gosh it would take bloody Mckinsey&Co to fix up this place. Doubt anyone working there has studied hotel management for a single term. It’s blindingly obvious. Used to think running a hotel was just common sense…

The hotel seemed to be short staffed which showed in their response times to requests with the simplest of tasks talking inordinately longer than expected. The bathroom sanitary ware needs updating and the faucets are unnecessarily complicated to use. Breakfast was poorly thought out and chaotic with neither the choice nor the quality one would expect of a four seasons brand

Beautiful Spring, nothing to say about the sumptuous setting, suites and amenities that are at the level of the Four Seasons and qualitative.
Private beach access to Deer Island is great.
Small downsides to managers:
-service and quality of restaurants are uneven (wines not served with umi zaka dishes, fish far too overcooked with lazy fish, very average pizza at Aquapazza, but no problem at UpperCut)
- no light on bikes (we don't see much in the alleys after 6pm) or at least provide a location for iPhones and torch function
- welcome of under 12s in the fitness club so impossible to swim, there are 2 other family pools in the spring.
- small regular attention around the pool friendly (cookies or fruit) but not systematic in the suite unlike other four seasons.

We have just spent a week at this Four Seasons in Mauritius (this is our 4th stay at a Four Seasons in the last 12 months) which was mostly excellent with a few buts…

The good stuff:-
The villa was in a beautiful location, looking out to the Indian Ocean, very large with 2 very comfy beds. It was very quiet with a plunge pool and sun beds, very secluded.
Staff are lovely, very helpful, smiley and friendly.
Pool was good.
One highlight was the free boat trip to Isle de Cerf 10 minutes away, where Four Seasons have a private bit of the outstanding beach, with a bar/restaurant/sunbeds/toilets…all excellent, definitely make the effort to go if you’re staying here, it’s really worth it.
I Paddle boarded every day from the beach, free for guests, it was quite windy whilst I was there so couldn’t go far, but still enjoyed it.
Upper Cut restaurant, good for steak
Acquapazza, melanzanna and pasta good

Not quite so good stuff:-
The main reason I couldn’t give this stay 5 stars, was the food, it was so inconsistent. Some was excellent: Tuna tataki, beef tartar, beef burger all very good, but somethings were not good at all: lentil soup, club sandwich, a prawn dish we had in Bambou restaurant, I found the yoghurt very strange at breakfast, it had a filmy, skin on the top. Some other dishes were very average.
Quite a lot of birds around at breakfast, if you left the table you would come back to find birds eating whatever you had left.
Sometimes had to wait a long time for a buggy, 30 minutes when we were checking out
The internet was very slow, I had planned a Zoom meeting but it wasn’t good enough for that.
Finally, I had to call maintenance 4 times for small but irritating things in the room, the safe wasn’t working, the curtain fell down, the pedal bin in the toilet wasn’t working and the control for the plug in the bath kept falling off. I know they are closing for a refurbishment soon, but we are still paying full price, so expect full service.

The standard of this Resort reflects exactly what is expected from a 5* hotel, that is, perfect treatment from check-in to check-out.
We arrived with our car and were immediately seated and after completing the formalities in a few minutes we were accompanied to our villa where our luggage was already waiting for us, which was extremely welcome after a long journey.
Villa that directly overlooked the beach and equipped with all comforts, large and quiet.
Excellent room service. as well as cleaning.
The choice of restaurants is good, we particularly appreciated the Lazy Fish directly on the beach where we had dinner several times.
Good breakfast with a wide choice of products.
Staff always top notch.
We recommend it and would happily return.
