Woodbury Lodge is spectacularly set against the cliff above the Bushmans River valley, in the malaria free area of the Amakhala Game Reserve. We offer an intimate and tranquil experience of the Eastern Cape, an ideal place for families to relax and enjoy the bush together. Guests are often thrilled by the late afternoon sighting of the elephant herd passing by. Our six stone and thatch lodges all have private decks with spectacular views looking out onto the game reserve. Each has spacious en suite bathroom with a view over the plains and provides accommodation for up to 12 people. Lodges are connected by stone walkways tucked away into indigenous trees alive with birdsong. Indulge in our sumptuous high teas with homemade breads and cakes that will leave you wanting more. Savor a crisp glass of wine over the outside burning fire or by the swimming pool overlooking the Amakhala plains with storytelling of the day's exciting adventures under the African stars. As Woodbury Lodge is family run, we take special care to ensure that a heartfelt service combined with the correct ingredients of breathtaking accommodation, fresh food and exciting game viewing will make your African safari experience a memorable and enjoyable one.

Fantastic stay at the game reserve. Saw all the game we wanted to see. Great facilities. Very friendly and experienced staff, particularly Ranger Brad who had a wealth of knowledge. We would recommend to anyone.

I can't answer the specific June questions, but for sunrise and sunset you will likely be out on game drives and have stunning views of them.
