Hlosi Game Lodge is a small 14-room game lodge in Addo, near the city of Port Elizabeth offering rich wildlife game-viewing and luxurious game lodge accommodation for the whole family. The highlight of our stay was the game drives. The guide allocated to us was fantastic. He took time to understand our priorities, the duration of our stay and mapped out a plan to make sure we were able to see everything we wanted to. And more. He was informed and kept the drives entertaining. The pandemic creates certain challenges at the lodge as staff had to abide by curfew regulations. The room was very nice, but in need of some maintenance. In general, the service was lacking and could have been better.

My family travelled from Cape Town to Hlosi Game Lodge for a 4-night stay. On arrival we were greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable. We enjoyed the 2 room Luxury tent, complete with outdoor shower, stocked mini-bar and airconditioning througout. The staff, facilities and meals are excellent and made for a wonderful stay. The 2 daily game drivers were enjoyable and my two children (7 and 10) enjoyed learning from our game ranger, Andew. I 100% recommend a stay at Hlosi Lodge.

We enjoyed our 2- night stay at Hlosi. Nothing was too much trouble for Elvis, the manager on duty. Service in general was very friendly. The booking process with Stephanie at head office was very efficient. Food was excellent, portions were the right size (not too large). The highlights were our game drives with Andrew, what a knowledgeable guide! The game walk (extra) with Riaan was fascinating, never thought we (including teenager) could be so intrigued by termites. The chalets were large and comfortable, lots of books, nice lighting (although bedside light could be better for night time reading). Great swimming pool sometimes shared with elephants who enjoy the the clear water for drinking!
