Requested a stay very last minute (already in the bus to Santa Marta but our other hostel had a faulty booking so had no place). Andres responded quickly, gave us directions and a warm welcome from him and his mother. The room was nice, I liked having a personal fridge. Also the place is very very clean! Andres is a very nice guy, he gave us good advice and booked scubadiving and the Lost City for us (last one we will do in 2 days). The rooms were booked for New years so we had to find another place, difficult. Andres helped us out and made some quick calls to other places.
His mother made us coffee in the morning and for a fee can do laundry for you.
The place is good and a quiet place to stay. Would love to stay again, thanks!

This place is excellent for the price I paid. Basic but very good. I had free access to the living rooms and the kitchen (I didn’t actually cook, but I needed to prepare my breakfast and a night snack). I didn’t like the town that much, although this little hotel was my oasis. I spent more time sipping wine in the hotel than on the beach, and it was my perfect starting point to my daytrips. The Internet access was awesome: I had a couple of Skype video calls (very important to me) and I watched a Netflix movie. The owner took me personally to the supermarket when I needed to, and showed me local attractions I asked for, such as bars and restaurants.

Was a very nice 5 nights stay here. The house is away from the active and loud night live, but still just 5 minutes walk from beach. Andres is really attentive and makes a nice atmosphere. He knows Taganga and surrounding, recommends amazing places to visit, good restaurants. Helped us when we had some technical troubles.

Our stay was good and comfortable: clean room, coffee and water included, yard with the sofa and chairs, we could use kitchen, quick internet.

Anders, thank you for help. We were a bit in hurry a last moment, and forgot to say goodbye. Thanks to you we have very good memories about Taganga and want to return)

The place is simple but charming. The owner was really welcoming and gave us a lot of tips for our next trips to Palomino, Tayrona and Ciudad Perdida. However, it was very hot in the room due to a fan that didn't work well and there was a little bit of noise around (music).
Anyway, good value for a short stay

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the upstairs room with private terrace. It was such a breath of fresh air to arrive to casa Tara. Andreas and his mother are wonderful hosts and we instantly felt so at home and welcome.
Taganga itself is a bit rough around the edges and if we weren't staying at casa Tara I don't think we would have enjoyed he area any where near as much. It's a perfect base to travel to Minca and tyrona. Could not rave more about this place more.

Casa Tara is a really beautiful place, quiet, comfortable, nice people. Close to the beach, restaurants and shops. ANDRES is really helpful to recommend good spots and guide you through the city and the region. Do not miss the sunset with a "Club Colombia" on the terrace.

Our room at Casa Tara was a paradise amidst a very dry, dirty city. We decided to stay in Taganga, as a base to all the Carribean adventures of South America, all though we wish we had stayed in Palamino instead. However our stay at Casa Tara was among our favourite Hostels. The staff was amazing and helped us with everything including bag storage, information on taxis vs buses, and even Brazillian visa info. Make the best of your time in Taganga and stay at Casa Tara.

We stayed at Casa Tara before and after our trip to Tayrona National Park. Our room was spacious, airy, clean and had a great shower. Andres was an excellent host and really helped us plan our time in Taganga and Tayrona. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and to recommend restaurants, transport and to even call agencies to organise our travels. Andrés, the owner, and his mother made us feel extremely welcome and let us store our bags whilst we camped overnight in the national park.
Casa Tara is a tranquil, peaceful and homely environment that is close to the beach and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet.
I couldn't recommend Casa Tara more! One of the best places we've stayed at a really low cost.

Andre and his mum are the best hosts you could have, happy to help you with anything you need during your stay. Andre helped us arrange our trip to Tyrona National Park and let us leave our big backpacks whilst we were away, he also recommended some great places to eat in town. The rooms were spotlessly clean, they actually do a clean every day, beds were comfortable and the rooms large. The neighbours can get a bit noisy but this was only on one night and Andre and his mum actually offered us a quieter room, couldn't have asked for better hospitality.
