I had two wonderful days of diving.
Perfect organization, scuba gear and dive guide! I loved it! I felt safe and I enjoyed all the dives.
For me, the best!
I decided to stay in their rooms (4 nights ) and I am really satisfied of my decision! Emilse will take care of you. Rooms are cozy and clean, my sea view was priceless. The resort it’s in the center but just a little away from the beach so you can sleep without many noises.
I loved my stay and my diving. My complain? I should plan differently my trip and spend more days here! Diving is amazing and Taganga a nice small place for chilling.
I will miss tayrona family!

This place is very cozy, great view. And if you want an amazing dive with friendly people, look no more. Will be going back. Muñeco (the owner) is a gentleman, very helpful and cordial. Thanks for an amazing experience!!!

Ps: the restaurant upstairs is delicious 😋

During our stay in Santa Marta we wanted to dive - but heared that diving in Taganga is second-best. Yet the Tayrona Dive Center goes diving in Tayrona, instead of Taganga (even-though the office/meeting point is in Taganga), with a trip possible in half a day - which was ideal for us. One of us did a mini-course, while the other joined for two refresh/fun dives. The both of us were 'guided' by Gustavo, a very proficient, friendly and patient diver, who speaks Spanish, German and English. He has been diving all over the World and recenty returned to Taganga, to do the dive tours here.

The equipment of the dive center is good, both of our dives were >45 minutes, there is a short boat ride and snack break in between. All of it is good value for your money - the mini course (2 dives, small theoretical intro, equipment, guidance, snack, underwater photos) was 180,000 COP. The 2 fun dives (including the above) were 150,000 COP. I would recommend to reserve (by phone) at least a few days in advance - the only thing you have to arrange yourself is transport to Taganga (10,000 COP by taxi) ;)

Very professional diving school with great and caribg staff! Had a very pleasant scuba diving trip with two dives seeing nice coral and a great variety of fish. Photos and videos taken by the instructors were included in the price of 18000 p.P. They even called our hostel to make sure we'd get them all because we didnt copy all of them to our phone in the first place. Be sure to bring a phone / USB stick or similar. Would definitely recommend this place!

Once my girlfriend and I arrived in Taganga we compared the different offerings of each diving school. Even though tayrona diving center was one of the more expensive diving schools, the first impression they gave us was very professional. What we also liked was that we could dive together with our own instructur, Gustavo. During the course we made 6 open water dives and Gustavo has been really professional in teaching us how to dive. I would definitely recommend this diving school to everybody. We have really enjoyed our first dives with Tayrona diving center and especially with Gustavo, the best instructur we could wish for.

When your planning to dive, all you want is to feel secure and surrounded with people who is professional but warm and kind to guide you through the hole experience.

Muñeco and his staff are all great people and they're open to answer every question you have. They'll make sure you are safe all the time and explain everything in detail. The place is really nice and close to the beach, the boats and equipment are in excellent conditions.

We did the Open Water certification for three days and everything was better than expected. I would recommend this to any person interested in fun dive or advanced diving courses.

I am already a qualified diver and did a couple of fun dives with Tayrona Dive Centre which I really enjoyed. The equipment was good and they took some good photos of the dive. If you are looking for a professional dive centre would recommend them.

My husband and I are long term travellers and wanted to take a longer break from moving from place to place. Our room and view sealed the deal and we ended up staying for a month! The owners and staff are all very friendly and have great knowledge of the sights and activities in the area.

They also organize diving and snorkel day trips to a nearby coral island. We loved seeing all the marine life and were well taken care of throughout the day; they served a light lunch and cold refreshments that definitely hit the spot.

The room price was average for a tourist town, but the room was very spacious and had a great view. My only wish was that we could have had access to a kitchen, but the restaurant right above the hotel made up for it with delicious food.

We went here for the PADI certification and also stayed here. Taganga is right next door to Santa Marta with many foreign backpackers.

Dive School
I chose this place because it was recommended by a friend. The basic PADI certification took three days. 2 dives/day with an interval on land where they feed you sandwiches and give you something to drink. You're back at the dive center by around 1230 and go back to watch the mandatory videos or quizzes at your leisure. Our instructor spoke English which was good because my son doesn't speak Spanish. During the entire course they take pics and videos and I was expecting a huge bill for those at the end of the course but I was pleasantly surprised that they are free - you just need a thumb drive.

Hotel
This place is not the Ritz. The rooms a very basic and although there's no AC they have fans and if you open the balcony doors you get an incredible breeze. There's a decent restaurant next door but it's also 2 blocks from the beach where there are many restaurants. Very clean. I'd stay here again without any hesitation.

My boyfriend and I took the PADI open water course through Tayrona Dive Center. I have always wanted to scuba dive, but also had a lot of fear of diving. Our instructor, Rodrigo, was amazing! He was always calm and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Tayrona Dive Center!
