We have just returned from a lovely 2 week holiday at the Palmyra Hotel. We received such a warm and friendly welcome from Savvas and Vicki. The hotel is excellent, near to the centre of Nidri but tucked away so it is nice and quiet. The beds are so comfortable, much better than the usual ones you find in the Greek Islands. Our room had a very nice side view of the sea too. The hotel has its own private beach which is only a 2 minute walk away. The bar does some great cocktails and has a happy two hours, 7pm to 9pm. Cocktails are only 5 euro each during happy hours and it is a bonus that it stays open until midnight. Plenty of good supermarkets nearby too and the fruit is lovely and reasonably priced. Nidri is quite lively and great on a night time. Regarding tavernas we found

We have just returned from The Palmyra after a two week holiday. We were lucky to have a great view from our room, sea and mountains. The beds are very comfortable, and have good bathroom facilities for Greece. There is a good pool with a brilliant garden space so plenty of room for everyone, if you are a beach person there is a private area with free sun beds and bar service about 100 metres away. There are many returning customers here and now we know why, it’s the hosts Savvas and Vicki with also help of Marco, who will keep you topped up with all the drinks and food you require. But it is their friendliness which stands out, put quite simply “THE BEST “ !!! Special mention to the friends we met there, can’t thank you enough for all the laughs!!!! “PERFECT “

This is more a small hotel than self catering accom. The rooms are small but nicely furnished. Modern shower room with a proper shower cubicle and even a hook on the wall to hang the shower head. Most unusual for Greece. Cooking facilities are minimal, just a sink, fridge and 2 rings. You do get an electric kettle and coffee maker but the only place to use them is the dressing table which you also need to use for any food prep. No frying pan or tin opener. I would rather have a toaster. Rooms are cleaned every day with towel change every 2 or 3 days and bedding changed twice a week. We had a nice view of the sea from our balcony. The pool is a good size with plenty of sunbeds on the terrace and a grassy area to one side. Only a 2 minute walk to the shingle beach

The property is well situated for everything you need and really close to the beach, they have their own beach area and the sunbeds are free for hotel customers. There was always plenty of sunbeds so no need to go and bag your sunbed early. It's only a short walk to the main centre of Nidri. The rooms have everything you need and it was especially nice to have a shower cubicle in the modern bathroom, we found the beds not too bad either as some beds in Greece can be really hard but these were OK, Luckily I did take my own hairdryer as there was not one in the room, we did have a sea view as well from our balcony which was lovely. The rooms are very clean and they are well maintained. The staff were brilliant here with a mention for Beth and Marcos they are really friendly and

We have just returned from a week at the Palmyra Hotel. It is such a lovely, friendly place to stay. You are made very welcome from the start. Savvas gave us a choice of rooms, we opted for one with a large balcony, with little kitchenette on the balcony, brilliant idea, perfect spot to keep your wine chilled. We were attending a Family Wedding on the Island. Everyone was very helpful nothing too much trouble. You really get a nice family vibe. Hotel is very clean, food is nice & fresh. Husband said it was the best burger he has ever had. You have easy access to a nice quite little beach, with free beds & umbrellas, Perfect. Do bring your own beach towels. They also have a Villa for rent & apartments. All in all a perfect stay. I would like to say a huge Efkharisto to
