Detailed Reviews
We stayed 7 nights and traveled and explored all towns and places nearby, e.g. 5 minutes to Pringle Bay and 5 minutes to Betties Bay, also Gordons Bay, Kleinmond and Hermanus, etc...
Kapensis is very accessible and we had been looking forward to go back to our room with the very luxurious bed, shower and double basins after each day. The view through the large glass doors to Betties Bay was stunning.
All are very clean with cleaning services every day. If you need anything, your request is being attending to.
Breakfast every morning was also very special - you can eat everything on the menu and ask for more..
Was very special, thank you.

We were looking for a mini-break in December where we could relax after a very busy and bad 2019 year.
We were welcomed by Katharina and her friendly dogs on a Monday afternoon.
The rooms were perfect, Katharina went out of her way to look after us.
The breakfast was awesome, she assisted with a booking at one of the restaurants that she advised us on and brought a portable braai for us to enjoy every night.
Kapensis was the perfect restful stay for us which is close by to Pringle and Betty's Bay.
We will definitely be back!

Katharina has created a tasteful, peaceful, homely and luxurious retreat. Just outside the beautiful little village of Pringle Bay, the vast views of Nature really let us breathe and see as far as the other side of the coast towards Hermanus. (We were on the dawn-side of the house). We had booked the family room. It was spacious with attention to detail with super comfortable beds. The little patio area really gives you some space to unwind and be alone with your thoughts.
We stayed for dinner and Katharina prepared a surprise menu that was absolutely delicious. Even at breakfast, we wanted for nothing. The four dogs on the premises are really friendly, well-behaved and relaxed- so even if you are afraid of dogs, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a weekend away...you will want to spend more than one night. We definitely did, but had to travel on. BUT we'll be back for sure!! Thanks for this wonderful gem!!

After a trip through the Karoo sleeping in self-catering guesthouses (which were excellent btw!) we enjoyed the luxury of a nice bed and breakfast stay at Kapensis Guesthouse. Katharina is a helpful host who made us feel at home in Pringle Bay. The room is big, the douche is also accessible for my wife who has problems walking. We could park near our room so unpacking / packing was easy.
The guesthouse has a nice swimming pool however the weather was not so good that we could use it.
The last evening Katharina cooked us a very delicious surprise diner!
Thanks for the nice stay and we certainly come again next time we are in the Cape region.

It was our second visit and we loved it as much as the first time. The host Katarina is amazing... The location is fabulous and views incredible. We had the best time by the pool sipping cocktails. The food is amazing because is made of fresh local produce and with love of course... We can highly recommend their pizzas :) hmm so delicious!
If you are searching for a nice and budget-friendly getaway please choose Kapensis. You won't be disappointed! We are looking forward to go back again - hopefully soon!

+1
In Pringle Bay we found a fabulous guesthouse with a friendly owner. It has an elegant African decoration and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The room has sliding doors that open up onto the countryside with a beautiful scenery. A real romantic getaway with breakfast included as an option.

We enjoyed a very warm welcome with a glass of wine and beer by the fire. The host was very warm and welcoming. We went to our upgraded room and it was beautifully decorated with picture perfect views of the mountain and the terrain alround. Dinner and breakfast were served with delicacy and distinction fit for Kings and Queens. Lest I forget the sunrises in the morning made breakfast on the patio all the more memorable.
We vowed to comeback another time to enjoy once more 5-star hospitality at its best.
Thank you, Katarina.

What a wonderful weekend experience. The guesthouse is situated in an ideal location close to all local amenities. We were treated first class and were even upgraded at no extra cost. If relaxing by the pool or watching the expansive night skies is in your itinerary, this place has it all to offer. No detail was too much, including a first class Champagne breakfast, Champagne for your own cost. There is plenty to do in the local area with first class restaurants, such as Gunucchi in Betty's Bay, and Hook Line and Sinker in Pringle Bay, to mention a few. Overall loved it and it helps if you love your dogs as we do as there are some very loving dogs at the property keeping a watchful eye over the place :-)

Breakfast was delicious - so many options - and you could choose to have it in your room, on your patio or in the guesthouse dining area.
Eating breakfast while staring into the mountains was a highlight for us!
There are the friendliest and sweetest rescue dogs which live on the property and my husband and I absolutely loved cuddling them and allowing them to join us for walks.
The host went out of her way to make a reservation for us at a restaurant of our choice for our anniversary, and also asked which wine we preferred for our room. There were even rose petals on the bed.
When we had a slight issue with the bath, she immediately asked if we would like to change rooms and when we happily declined, she gave us a vacant room's keys for us to come and go as we please, so we could use the bath when we wanted to.
We wish we stayed for more than one night!

Excellent location, a short distance from the road, but at the same time quiet. The hotel is well-designed. Individual rooms have separate accesses from both sides - from the terrace and from the pool. High quality of services, cleanliness in the rooms. Katharina is an admirable woman, very hospitable. She booked us a restaurant in Pringle bay for dinner and it was another great experience. We traveled as a group of 11 friends for 2 weeks on bikes around the Cape Western and this was the place with the best service.
