Great country guest house with a three bedroom apartment on the ground floor and a lovely dorm in the loft for the younger generation. Surrounded by lovely countryside in a wine and food lovers paradise. Ideal detour from the Cape Garden route, with Cape Town only two hours away.

My girlfriend and I spent a romantic weekend here, and it was phenomenal. The hostess Fleur was very welcoming and accommodating, she made us feel right at home and took good care of us. The house itself is beautiful, and we had everything we needed. A definite highlight was the garden and the pool, and there was a lot to do in the area. Including Arniston beach and a lovely little hike.

The Napier Country House is indeed the perfect country getaway in a quiet and friendly little town. Wonderful hosts and lovely location surrounded with peace and tranquillity. And there’s so much calmness inside this rustic little gem!
We had stayed with a few friends and adored the garden! The facilities are simple but it defiantly was a perfect break from the city!

Well worth the visit

My partner, my two kids and I have been coming to Napier for a number of years. This time, a number of friends joined and we utilised Napier as a base to explore the wine routes around the R62 (Robertson), Bredasdorp, Elim and Stanford regions. Even with a full day of wine tasting, we still managed a swim at Arniston. Napier is an awesome town to use as a base, and I can think of no better place to stay than the Napier country house. Old period house (1850) with a rustic charm and great views of the surrounding country side. The facilities are simple and commensurate with the price. Hosts were great and we will be coming back again as soon as possible.

I stayed at Napier Country House in preparation and during the Agri Mega Week 2015 and was joined by my family for the weekend. Napier Country House suited us perfectly as a overnight facility as well as tranquil haven to relax at the end of a very busy few weeks. My children enjoyed playing with the friendly animals and my wife fell in love with the peacefulness of the rustic garden.

I've stayed at the Napier Country House on more than one occasion. I live in Jhb and my ideal holiday is one where I can relax and do as little or as much as I please. The Napier Country House is a lovely place in the small town Napier. It's self-catering, so one can choose to cook at 'home' or visit one of the several restaurants in town. Anything from fine dining to your local pub. The Napier Country House has a lovely garden with fresh herbs in abundance which guests can use for their cooking and salads. I sat on the patio overlooking the fields every morning and afternoon and enjoyed the spectacular views. It is about 30 mins drive to the Arniston Beach and about an hour to the most Southern Point in Africa.

I found the Napier Country house a great place to escape the hubbub of the city. I thoroughly enjoyed strolling in the surrounding country lanes and reading on the veranda with a view across the countryside. I left feeling greatly relaxed.

A wonderful, comfortable and an easy stay! Every thing about the place and town (Napier) is quirky and wonderful - great people, great restaurants , great surrounds and of course GREAT place to stay. The house and garden speak volumes about the time and attention the owner has put into it. Truly wonderful place!

We had numerous wonderful times in the Napier Country House. Meditating in the beautiful garden in the early morning hours, enjoying farmstall breakfast down the road, walks in the countryside and outings to Arniston and the Bredasdorp Kapula Candle Factory. The downstairs house is rustic and cozy. The upstairs can be hot in summer but with all windows open you catch the breeze and it offers a decent low-price under-the-roof open space, and fun for kids.
