I stayed in a semi-self catering unit closest to the beach. The unit is spacious and can accomodate 4 people. There are smaller room options as well. The units are cleaned daily and the bedding are changed daily as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, overall the place have good vibes. No crockery, cutlery etc. in units and this is clearly communicated when you book. A few steps to the beach with a restaurant on site.

This gem could definitely be diamond worthy. Has loads of potential but just not quite there yet. High seasons are definitely not the best. The pools are very dirty and the kitchen is definitely understaffed.

We have been coming to Paraiso do Ouro for the last 5 years religiously and have stayed in the same self catering house every year!

Year on year we have seen the work and effort that goes into making the resort enjoyable and a great success!

We have seen a major upgrade to “our house” this year and must commend Johan & Diane on the changes! The house is comfortable, super clean and has everything that you need.

We have become very fond of the hosts, Johan & Diane and they as well as their amazing staff always goes out of their way to make our stay memorable and fantastic! We love the fact that we can do self catering but can also have a meal at the restaurant whilst enjoying a swim in the pool.

Our kids enjoy this annual holiday just as much and to us it always feels like “coming home”!

Thank you Johan & Diane, we have enjoyed 5 wonderful years of holidays with you guys!

I’ve been coming to Paraiso for the past 3 years and I have to say that every time I come I can see major improvements

The service from the staff was excellent!! On arrival The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze, my room was clean and my luggage was delivered to my room ( well done to the receptionist and cleaners )

The service from the bar and waiters were even better. They were very quick to assist and the waiter’s were very helpful and polite. With the food I could immediately see an big improvement. The way that the food was presented was impressive and the taste was also of high quality

Overall I have to say that Paraiso is still one of my favorite destinations and I’ll be coming back soon. Keep up the good work guys

The place was dirty and the bed linen had an awful smell, we had to sleep on top of our blankets, it has no proper wardrobe. The toilet has no window and they do not provide bathroom mats. I do not want to even speak about the WIFI, horrible.

Taking a shower for some of the ladies we were with in their rooms was a daily battle, I understand that it may be a 1 star but hygiene is very important.

Stayed in one of the houses with friends for four nights and it felt like a four week break. the staff were friendly and helpful and our house was more than enough sopace for our needs. Each room having its own bathroom was a bonus and the verandas on both floors have the most magnificent sea views. a few steps away from the beach and when the salt water of the ocean got too much for us we relaxed in the pools also a few steps away from our house. Left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Wonderful location right on the beach at Ponta do Ouro. Great service from all the staff who were extremely friendly and attentive. The house had amazing views over the sea and we enjoyed evening drinks on the terrace.

If you can't book one of the houses at this place, refrain from the rooms.

Our room was scorching hot, as they have a ludicrous policy, to have the AC off from 11-5am peek sleeping hours.

Our shower was so dirty to the extend that I had to shower with shoes on.

When I went down to ask for some cutlery, it was denied. I barely had any wifi in a foreign country.

The neighbours were so noisy, up to 3-4am.

I found a used condom on the shelf.

The food and drinks are ridiculously over priced, pool bar, what pool bar?

Pool super dirty as guests come to wash themselves.

Honestly, don't go there I booked 6days left after 3.

This accommodation was the worst I have ever experienced!!! The room is no bigger than a match box. The toilets is disgusting as there is no vent or extractor fan, the showers leak. Upon arrival our transfer service was 1 hour lat so we sat at the border waiting. The room we got had a double bed that was soiled and wet, the double bunk was broken! We booked for Christmas lunch buffet, which was a complete rip off as the food firstly was 2 hours late, portions were rationed and there was no dessert. The owners of the resort are rude and extremely unhelpful, they are unconcerned with unhappy guests and did not even try to convince to stay our full stay.
