Everything is clean, food is good, staff is so nice, there is nothing to worry about, clearly. While diving you feel really safe (with truly certified PADI Dive masters). Spend a week here (PADI course Advance Open Water and fun dives : 15 total) and I am not disappointed at

No. The rooms are clean and very basic. You should ask if they can make a hair dryer available.

Hi there. Go to Mabul yes, but if you did not pre-book your Sipadan permit it IS possible to still dive in Sipadan by getting a permit on the spot. Unfortunately, Scuba Junkie is not the best option to provide a Sipadan permit for walk ins because they ARE a popular dive shop *however* they do not have more permits than other dive operators. Hence, the number of divers:permit ratio is not the best - I booked my dives with them 2 months in advance. From talking with locals, these dive operators were able to provide Sipadan diving permits for walk ins: - Seaventures Dive Rig (needs a minimum number of days diving with them) - Borneo Speedy Dive Hope this helps.

I would highly recommend the air conditioning. It is much more manageable and comfortable after diving all day. You don't want your body to be stressed diving because you didn't sleep well -- if you're on the fence -- just go with the AC.

"The A/C rooms are worth the extra cost!"
"I would book a room with A/C, just because it's still really hot atnight."
"The Bungalows are beautiful and very large and a good bet if you want a bit of luxury on your dive trip."
"defintely stay in a private room as you get the best position on the island and room to hang out all your wet dive gear"
"Doorms are fine at the right side as you are away from the roosters from the vlilage"
