Our location is ideal being walking distance to the beach, shops, warungs, restaurants and spas. Within our rooms and property, we’ve aimed for comfort and practicality with Balinese touches and highlights of Nusa Lembongan. Inside these rooms we hope you experience a laid back feel while enjoying the views of the sea on your balcony or patio. Contact US to package your accommodation with boat. We booked the superior family room for our family of four. Big enough to fit us all, plus a generous sized deck with a day bed and bean bags.

The 11 year old loved chilling on the deck, swims in the pool and the food from Thai Basil.

The 4 year old loved the bunk beds, swimming pool and playing jenga on the deck.

The room has incredible views overlooking the bay at Jungutbatu and Mount Agung.

You can see the surf breaks from here and a great spot for sunset and sunrise.

Close proximity to restaurants, cafes and the beach. It also has a great restaurant Thai Basil which we ate at several times. Delicious food and cocktails.

I liked how they stocked the fridge with water in reusable glass bottles each day (we’d refill our Yeti drink bottles and go about our day).

This would be a great spot for a group of families travelling together as there’s only 6x hotel rooms at this property.

My only suggestion would be to have a edging around the shower, water goes all over the bathroom floor.

Thank you to all the wonderful staff we encountered during our stay! We look forward to returning again soon.

Excellent hotel with the very best views from our room across the beach.

Service was superb from being picked up from the beach and having our luggage taken to the hotel, to help with Taxi’s and a scooter.

Breakfast options in the Thai Pantry were very good as was the option to eat there on an evening.

Definitely recommend a stay there.

Never been to Lembongan before so hard to know where to stay. I researched and researched and ended up booking a hotel on the main drag but then changed my mind and booked Playgrounds on the hill overlooking the main town and beyond to Bali and Agung. Best decision as the restaurants up here are fab and our room with huge balcony and views forever is just the best place to chill out! Fabulous!

Booked to stay August 2020 but couldn’t travel due to Covid. Had paid but no refund was forthcoming. Contacted to see if we could carry forward our booking to 2023 but never received a reply on two occasions. Personally I would say that reflects a company who are interested in profit over customer experience.

At $200 AUD a night. We stayed 3 nights, breakfast was nothing special, we ended up going elsewhere on the second day. No clean towels in the room on either day. Room is tiny. Shower is right near the toilet?! Staff were ok. We wouldn't stay here again. You can't fault the view but they could cut into the deck and rooms and make the bathrooms more desirable and user friendly and you cant call down to reception as there is no phone.

Hi Jade, We hope you enjoyed your time in Nusa Lembongan. Upon checking on your reservation, we have seen you have booked the room via a this party website and not directly with us. After the currency conversion the rate was not $200 AUD so not sure where you have this rate from? Packages booked directly with us also saves the guest money but you have chosen to book via another method. In regards to your breakfast, we have checked with the restaurant and you chose not to join us for breakfast on the 2nd day. But we are confused as for 'nothing special', you returned for breakfast on the 3rd day and also order the breakfast muffin, not 1 order...but x 2 extra orders of this?! To us it would appear someone did enjoy this meal. For the clean towels I have investigated with housekeeping and they have recorded a make up stain from the towel in your room which they need to do extra stain removal for. So.. this is incorrect information that you didn't receive any clean towels, we've definitely replaced towels. In regards to no phone in the room, this is correct. You'll notice that we also do not have a phone at reception to minimize the noise of the phone ringing to disturb the ambience. Guests all travel with phones and guests can communicate with staff via Whats App. A free App available with wifi that can be used for calls or messages. You are right, the shower is near the toilet, together in the bathroom. Thanks for the upload of the picture - but there is also the exact same picture shown on the third party website you have booked with. We don't hide the set up of the bathroom and we choose to show the guest this so they can make the decision if they wish to have a bathroom with this layout. If this didn't meet your requirements, it may have been better to check through the pictures first and book another room type with larger bathroom, bath tub and double vanity. The size of the room is 23sqm. Tiny? The deck is also 15sqm. I'm not sure if you are familiar with construction and building but to simply 'cut the deck' and make the bathroom desirable or what I assume is larger, is not a simple task. It's one that requires a structural change to the building itself and relocating walls! Our regular and repeat guests prefer to spend more time on the deck rather than in the bathroom so we're happy to please the majority of our guests by having the larger deck over a larger bathroom. To note - it's only 2 out of our 6 rooms that have the smaller bathrooms which you have chosen. Lastly, during your stay our staff have asked how everything was but during the 3 days there was no feedback. We like to make sure all our guests have a great holiday but if any concerns or comments are not brought to our attention during their stay then unfortunately we cannot be of assistance or if there's something we have missed and are not informed, we cannot make any improvements without this knowledge!

We recently had our 2nd stay at Playgrounds and can't wait for our 3rd in February. It ticks all the boxes, the rooms are clean, spacious, well serviced and beautiful. The staff are wonderful, only too happy to help with anything you may want, all with huge smiles. But best of all are the views, possibly the best in Nusa Lembongan. We have stayed at many places in Lembongan all have been lovely, but Playgrounds is perfect. Thankyou to the best staff ever.

Myself and my partner came here for a 4 night stay after Seminyak. We arrived to a very warming beautiful welcome and checked into our gorgeous room looking over the ocean and the surf break playgrounds. Food, service, cleanliness, friendliness and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We were lucky enough to stay here for 4 nights at the end of Oct. We have been to Lembongan many times and this time we were looking for family and surfer friendly accom, good value for money and of course killer views - Playgrounds Wave Lodge was perfect! Our room (superior) was super comfortable with bunk beds, a double bed and even floor cushions to laze on. It also had a great size tv, fridge for the small person’s snacks and even some surfboard storage area! The bathroom was modern and had a huge tub for soaking. The whole room was clean and well maintained.
The views from our balcony were amazing and my husband (surfer) could just walk out the door to check the surf conditions at all the breaks.
Breakfast at Thai Pantry was perfect - we loved the a la cart choices and I even tried some delicious Thai breakky. Husband loved the breakfast burger. Thai Pantry also had an excellent kids menu which was perfect for our picky 3yr old (macaroni, chicken nuggets - all homemade!).
Would highly recommend Playgrounds Wave Lodge to anyone!

Hi MichelleV668 Thanks for your feedback and appreciate you sharing your pictures so guests can get a sense of what they may experience with us. We do try to cater for kids that may need a little help with food options and glad we could help in that department :-) Hope to see you back next time!

Thanks so much for your prompt answer. Our trip probably won't be until November 2020 so I will most likely be in touch at a later date.
Answer from surfchecker
Hi surfers73, Definitely the Superior Room Upper Level would be the best choice for your family. This room type has a very spacious 23sqm balcony and with unbeatable views of the ocean, surf breaks and Mt Agung on a clear day. With queen + bunk bed there is enough beds for everyone. We would be happy to assist to book your boat transfers for you and our staff can help to bring up any bags or boards from the beach. We are only a short couple of minutes walk away. September does fill up quickly with Australian school holidays so please contact us direct for a discounted accommodation + transfer package!
