Stayed for just 2 nights and wasn't familiar with the area at all previously so it was a bit of a guess. I found the location to be fine, just a few minutes walk to a tram line, a little further to the metro and a little further to the town centre. Check in and check out were

Dear Stu-cj, Thank you for sharing your candid feedback with us. We appreciate your mention of our convenient location and efficient check-in process. Regarding your room, we have noted your comment concerning rugs. While there is a small carpet near the sofa, the rest of the room has wooden flooring. We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the hot water, but we are glad that you enjoyed our breakfast. We hope that you will have a chance to return in the future and try our sauna. We are planning to install a changing room for the comfort and convenience of our guests. Thank you once again. Best regards, Jeremy Hillegeer, General Manager

Strangely the staff at check in was Spanish, not able to address to guests in Dutch, the main language in this country. Therefore check in was a bit akward. Beside that a good stay, a good room, a good hotel.

Dear Stevevdk, Thank you for taking time to share your valuable review. We are glad you had a pleasant stay and that our hotel and room met your expectations. However, we apologise for any inconvenience during check in. We understand that quite rightly the receptionist at the time of your check in did not speak Dutch but is conversant in many other languages. We also do have other receptionists who speak Dutch. We hope that you will visit us again in the future. Best wishes, Jeremy Hillegeer, General Manager

We came to this hotel, after the hotel we were originally staying in, turned out to be horrifying (check my review of Albert Hotel in Brussels). So naturally everything was better. However I have to admit, out of the places I've stayed in Europe this was very good. The rooms

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable review. We are glad that you had a pleasant stay at the Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie and that the room met your expectations. Thank you for appreciating our location. Our location is one of the things we are very proud of about our hotel. We are so lucky to have such a strategic position that brings transport options to our guests and must-see attractions closer. We regret that you found our breakfast to be expensive. We assure you that our price reflects our quality. But if you buy your breakfast voucher at check-in, it is cheaper. Your kind recommendations are truly appreciated. We are happy that the rest of the facilities were to your satisfaction. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Jeremy Hillegeer, General Manager

It looks as if the shuttle bus between Charleroi and Brussels only stops at Brussels-Midi/Brussels Zuid so to get to the hotel you’d need to get off there and then take the Metro to Louise which is the closest Metro station to Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie. You will need to take either the 2 Simonis- Elisabeth line (orange) or the Roi Baudouin - Elisabeth line (blue).
