We arrived at approx 4-5pm. We had no booking. Mario met us at the gate, a room was available so we stayed for the night. We Had not eaten and it was late to order dinner but Mario fixed us some lovely antipasti and beautiful wine, now I am not a red wine drinker but this wine was beautiful. we had a lovely meal with some delicious local foods such as the "casizzolu lussurgesu" and salsiccia, olives, Prosciutto and other delicious local goodies. Who needs a 3 course meal when you have these delicacies. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely Mario. The Garden and surrounds are so peaceful, beautiful ancient trees and gardens. The rooms were quite simple but very comfortable. I would recommend Eremo Del Cavaliere to anyone who would like to stay at a special Place away form the hustle and bustle of the more tourist places. Thanks again Mario we had a lovely stay. Angelina Fois from Australia

We were recommended the restaurant by our hotel and it was fantastic. We loved it so much that in our four night stay we went twice. It was a set four course meal with wine, water and bread all for 30 euro. So many beautifully cooked dishes. You could not of got any better if you payed double. The owners a married couple are very friendly and could not have done more. They even came and explained the dishes and their background in English and afterwards we had a lovely chat. The building is beautiful and is part of the church. Which you can also stay in the rooms, which they showed us and they were lovely too and quaint. All surround a grassed court yard. Thank you to you both, we had a wonderful time.
