This hotel is perfect for families and the all inclusive is highly recommended, very good variation of food and drinks are ok. Staff was always there to help, pool was big and nice plus that the beach was just outside. I took a massage twice and it was highly professional. The children's club was very appreciated by my son, but remember to book in advance, they “sell out” quickly, still several per day to chose from. We rented a car and drove around the whole island, going to best cafe in Las Palmas, visiting winery up north west and enjoyed the spectacular views on the west coast (curvy roads though). So all in I was pleasantly surprised by this trip.
Me and my two children age 5 and 3 years had a great week at this resort. It located spoilingly close to the beach. It was made very easy for me as a parent travelling alone with two small children. We had chosen the all inclusive alternative and were happy with the food. There were plenty of tasty and various options at the buffet so no need to use the a la carte menu. I especially liked the tapas buffet. Very helpful and kind staff from reception, restaurant, kitchen, bar, house keeping to pool guard. The Lollo and Bernie club was amazing for the kids. Especially Linus deserves a great applause for his dedication. The rooms are light and spacious and kept clean and tidy. There's a mini market at the hotel as well as gym and laundry room. No experience from this. We went to the SPAR very close to the hotel the few times we wanted something. During our stay we made to day trips. One to Puerto Rico and one to Arguineguin, easily accessed by both taxi and public bus. We would love to come again <3.…
Spent a week at the hotel in December 2020. It has to be the best all inclusive hotel I have ever visited. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean with a high standard. The breakfast buffet made a good start of the day, with a wide variety of bread and spread, plus the more continental sort of breakfast. Lunch buffet also very good, before dinner gave the choice to either choose from a handful dinner dishes or to order from an ala-carte menu. In addition there were snacks, pizza and burgers between the meals. Face mask was mandatory in the restaurant, due to covid-19. The staff appeared strictly, but also friendly in order to ensure the guests followed the rules. The hotel was far from fully booked this week, but I think there never will be an issue not to get a sunbed. The pool held a high twenty degrees temperature I think, and the only little thing to remark is that the floor around is very slippery. Wifi very good, no problem to stream whatever I wanted in my room. I think it was number 413, with a nice view beyond the sea. Rooms also very nice and clean, with the bedroom just inside the door and a living-room in the other part next to the balcony. Playa del Cura is a very quiet little place, but the bus connections are good to every place at the island as I could see. If you want a calm holiday and don't need high and noisy music by the pool all day, or childrens disco and mediocre entertainment at a stage in the night this is really a good place to stay.…
We’re currently staying at this hotel, and decided to write a spontaneous rewiew, because we’re so pleased. The hotel is beautiful, everything is brand new. There is clear attention to detail in the interior design, and in the rooms. Just one example is the beds, which are of very good quality. Our childs bed also seems comfy, with a soft matress - he slept for twelve hours straight tonight:) We’re staying in the 3-room Club Suite, which is spacious with a good size kitchen and a lovely outdoor area. Everything is supremely clean. The staff is warm and welcoming, and good with kids. We’re travelling with our son, who’s 1,5 years old, and we can see him shining when they joke around with him. The food is excellent - so many choices for every meal, everything included in the all invlusive-package. We would especially like to thank the chef for the breakfast pancackes, they are such a delight. The kitchen is up to top hygenic standards, which was important for us, travelling with a child. Of negatives, there was quite a line to check in to the hotel, because people didn’t have their passports and corona-froms ready. Eventually one of the staff members was assigned to remind people to prepare this while in line, and everything went much more smooth.…
Fantastic family hotel for the holiday. Everything runs smoothly and is family friendly. Good routines and pace in reception, kitchen, restaurant, bar, in the pool area and the cleaning. The beach is just outside the hotel and the local supermarket has everything you need. With a car it is easy to get around the island.
Lovely hotel, location overlooking the sea. Hotel very clean. The food at the hotel is delicious, there are lots of vegetarian and allergic options. This hotel is perfect for families, lots of sports and activities for children, there are kids clubs for children of all ages, fantastic pools. The hotel has a good environment for people with special needs. Staff is super nice and helpful. I would love to recommend this hotell for family vacation.
The manager of this hotel should rightly feel very proud of this hotel and in particular, of the staff. What a fantastic team of waiting staff! So professional, attentive and calm! The rooms are amazingly spacious with a wonderful sofa on the balconies - never had that before anywhere! The beds are very comfy, large bathroom with a great shower and so tastefully and minimally decorated. We had a room on the third floor which gave us fabulous views ove the beach. The pool area was spotless with plenty of space for sunbeds, fixed parasols and comfy sofas for cocktails whilst waiting for dinner! The food was excellent - not the biggest buffet but it had everything we wanted at all meal times. BBQ ribs were fabuous! The homemade cakes at breakfast were a particular favourite and they will bring you made-to-order omelettes to your table at breakfast too. I really enjoyed this hotel, it's small and familiar - you don't have to walk miles to get around it, you can fall out of the front gate on to the beach and it is in a fabulously quiet area between Puerto Rico and Mogan.…
We had a swim-out room which was completely fine and clean, the pool is refreshing but the proximity to people walking past is not - however it is what it is. Eating at the restaurant is terrible, we had one of the worst meals ever for the price. They changed the plate just to have another one saggy piece. To summarize - do not expect too much like international 5/4-star - this is a cage for people who buy the all-inclusive as they don't have other options. We skipped that and ate elsewhere with help of a rental car.
We had a wonderful time at O.B.C. The room was great, balcony amazing with lounge furniture and beanbages and veiw of the ocean. Excellent breakfast with good (healthy and un-healthy choices). Nice clean pool area with enough sunloungers. Scandinavian kids club was great for both young and older kids (2 separate clubs). Direct acces to the beach. No noghttime entertainment, just quiet and stars above. Only thing to improve is if it is possible to add an area with a waterslide and similar for older kids - they got a bit bored in the pool sometimes (it should be separate from the main pool though) We went a year ago this month and we dream of going back as soon as the world opens up again.
Absolutely the worst experience so far. It must be the first time ever they serve dinner from a menu and not as a buffet. It took 2 hours to get a tomato and mozzarella salad. The table next to us had been there for 2,5 hours without getting any food.
