We have been going to Les Arcs 1950 since it was built and have always had nothing but a totally positive experience. We always travel with Crystal Ski who have always provide a fantastic service. Yes, you can get delays going into Chambery because of fog/mist, but that is all part of the adventure, just be grateful that you are in a position to be able to take such a trip, many round the world are not! Arc 1950 is superb, the accommodation is alwys very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The big advantage is close proximity to everything, the supermarket, bars, restaurants, boulangerie and supermarket are all only a very short walk and you can literally ski/ride to and from your door. You have access to hot tubs, steam rooms and a wellness centre, there is nothing like a soak in a hot tub after a hard day on the mountain. Slippers and bath robes are provided as well as all towels and some toileteries, and a welcome pack of tea, coffee and chocolate etc. It has a great village feel, and virtually every evening there are various events held in the street, so join in and get involved. The Crystal in resort reps are always on hand if you have any issues, which we never have had. I have just come back from a two week trip there, going back again in a few weeks and already have a trip booked for 2021 and can't wait. Highly recommended, both Crystal Ski and Les Arcs 1950. Thank you.

The rooms were really cozy, short distance to the skiing area and a really neat location in general with many restaurants and shops in vicinity. The only complaint would be that the storage room for skis was quite inconveniently located. Other than that, I highly recommend Pierre & Vacances. Thanks to Valerie, the reception desk manager, for great service from Gazaryan family!

This resort offers fabulous opportunities for relaxation, with staff on hand to help with enquiries at all hours as well as the spa area available for relaxing.

6 of us stayed in an apartment, it is the first time we have had the luxury of staying in ski in/ski out accommodation and honestly it altered the whole feeling of the holiday! It is of course self-catered and it was our first time doing this which added and element of ..... fun!

The evening activities that we took part in the first few nights took place around 5pm and although they were very different with a really nice, warm atmosphere - the activities included hot chocolate and marshmallows around an open fire, snow scooter races around the village, snow mini golf and more.

Lift passes and ski and boot hire are literally next to the accommodation.

Only downside to this resort was the nightlife, it was very quiet with the fast food place shutting at 9pm and not very much going on later on in the evening ..... however, we were pre-warned that this was the case so 0 complaints on my behalf! The holiday was incredible and the resort was by far my favourite, nicely sized with lots of character and lots of different little shops to explore. The skiing area is huge and is very much for intermediates but once you get out there the igloo bar is a nice touch, which is just past Arc 2000. Arc 2000 is easy to access on the funicular from 1950 where there is more bars and a bowling alley.

We’ve stayed in numerous PV apartments, but were surprised at the poor quality of these apartments despite being listed as premium. We weren’t informed which building we were in, and so arrived at the main reception to be told we had to trek with all our luggage to another building. The apartments are tired and in need of refurbishment. Our microwave was so filthy it billowed smoke upon first use. Maintenance had to come and clean it up inside for us to be able to use it at all. Our bedroom window had a hole in it, so was extremely drafty. And, the dishwasher didn’t work at all. Maintenance managed to get it working to some degree, but the plates still came out filthy. There was no hot water early in the morning, and at other random times of day. In addition, the pool area is just cold. The swimming pool is too cold to stay for more than 5 minutes, and the hot tub is anything but hot.

The ski area is great, and the resort is lovely. These apartments really let it down.

We also stayed at Hameau de Glacier with Crystal and were disappointed. This is sold as 'luxury' '5 star' accommodation but the swimming pool was closed and looked like it had been for a while. The ONLY reason we chose this accommodation was so the kids could use the pool so this was disappointing even though we were allowed to use the pool in the nextdoor associated hotel. We arrived just before 10pm and the receptionist refused to serve some people who arrived after us as the reception closed at 10pm and they arrived at 5 past ! I have no idea where they slept that night. They also refused to give us an extra toilet roll saying we had to buy them ourselves - not really a 5 star experience.

Our arrival was uninspired , our coach arrival point was in a different part of the complex and we had to walk to our accomodation through the enormous underground car park. Our room was OK but small and oddly furnished with large pieces of furniture that took up a lot of space. It was advertised for 4 but there were only thin sliding doors between the bedroom and lounge so it was not ideal - it would be fine for 2.

As mentioned by another poster, we were lucky we were staying on the 2nd floor as there was a very strong smell of drains/toilets on the 1st floor which was quite unpleasant.

There are a few restaurants in the complex but not enough (the one attached to the accommodation was closed when we were there) so you have to make sure you book well in advance but we were really disappointed with the Pizza restaurant as the food was generally poor though expensive. Breakfast was very good but be aware it is not in the same complex so you have to go out to a restaurant to get it. It was not far but it means you definitely have to get changed into your ski gear before you go. There is a good supermarket and an excellent bakery so self-catering is recommended.

The ski in/ski out was excellent but even so we won't be returning

Les arcs1950 village is best Pierre and Vacances accommodation we have ever stayed in and can see why this is a Piere and Vacances premium residence. Reception staff at the Cime de Prince are really helpful and our apartment is really well equipped with everything we need plus have pool, and gym on our floor which are really nice. We were really dubious about going skiing to Les Arcs mid April as Easter is late this year but how wrong we were as hasn’t stopped snowing for more than 24 hours .

I would highly recommend this place, the apartment is of a good size which is rare for a skiing holiday. It is a bit annoying that breakfast wasn't served on site, but it was only a two minute walk, with that said if we returned we would simply eat breakfast in the apartment. Location and ski resort really good, in fact perfect position. While the accommodation was great it good have done with a good spring clean, as could the pool area (which was excellent)

We took 2 flats that were joined together. Small children and parents 1 side and older adults the other and it worked brilliantly. 2 well equipped kitchens, comfortable, clean, warm with balconies with views. Everyone loved the flats. The gym area is good, the sauna and steam room needs upgrading. Tired, lights not working and wooden slats splintered however there was always space in both saunas and steam room. The pool outside is fabulous and a big bonus but needs a new liner. We have been coming to Manoir Savoie for quite a few years and think that time is right to smarten up as it’s beginning to show wear and tear! The snow was very good considering all the news reports, obviously 1950 is high enough and nearly all runs were open. We used the ski school and the teachers were friendly and encouraging and we ranged from expert to total beginner. Staff at reception were very helpful and nothing was too much of a problem. Supermarket offers just about good enough produce. Eat on the slopes which are excellent as most restaurants in village are very disappointing and all serve the same menu, lack lustre service and not value for money.

Great resort. Great Apartments - though a 2 bedroom is really for 4 people P&V say 7. There is a double sofa bed but not sure where the 7th would sleep. For a family of 4 though perfect. Spacious well equipped, 2 bathrooms and great views if you have a valley aspect.
Staff excellent - very accommodating for a late arrival
BUT you come to Les Arcs to ski or snowboard and P&V have not considered this with their ski rooms. The principal activity of the people that book such accommodation and the ski room is awful. Small, lockers crammed in, no heated boot dryers. This is supposed to be 5 star. It is absolute chaos in the morning. and this mars what should be a fabulous place to come and ski.
The other issue is parking. There is one carpark and 34€ per car per day. It's a healthy wack on top of a premium apartment. On P&V website they say parking but it is unclear if parking is included or extra. it's extra just be warned!

The cost of the booking was automatically increased by 500euros two months after booming it. Contacted customer service multiple times with the same answers, "we don't know what happened and why, we have to pass it through to my manager and contact you as soon as we can". Never got any reply or feedback. Terrible experience.
