So, where do I start! We have just returned from an amazing 8 nights at Needles Lodge. We originally booked back in 2019, but due to covid etc we have only just managed to get there and what a place! We were welcomed like old friends by Dennis and his staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and with a super-comfy bed (and excellent linen) - air con was great and much needed as they were experiencing a heat wave when we were there. Tea, coffee and cookies (home-made) are supplied in the room with toiletries for your use if you so wish. Dennis, Lynne, Philip and their staff are super friendly and it's obvious they take great pride in the fact that they work at the top lodge in Marloth Park. The chefs are nothing short of spectacular and the food is probably the best I have ever had whilst on holiday (or anywhere). The game drives were out of this world and we managed to see all but the leopard, but that just gives us an excuse to return to Needles! There are too many superlatives to describe Needles - all I can say is go, you won't be disappointed - just leave a week or two free for us because we will be back! Absolutely superb and wonderful stay from the moment we were warmly welcomed by Dennis, Lynn and their excellent team. Needles is a fabulous place to stay with its spacious and comfortable rooms, to its setting in Marloth park, to its visitors to the deck - zebras, kudu, giraffes, impala, mongooses and the delightful bush babies - a Safari in itself - and the delicious food. We love the communal atmosphere in an evening, with a chance to share the day’s adventures with other travellers over dinner. Dennis and Lynn are great hosts and are a source of knowledge about Kruger and the surrounding area? Can’t wait to go again.

Amazing experience at Needles. All staff was amazing with us. Great Rooms with all facilities including water and snacks all days. Dinner is amazing. The breakfast, both at Needles and during game drive, is very good. Small poll where you may found some animals. Recommend and will repeat if I have go back to SA.

What a tremendous place. Wildlife comes to your doorstep (including bush-baby monkeys!). The accommodation far exceeded our expectations and the breakfasts/dinners provided both first class. Our hosts, Denis, Lyn and the team, were very knowledgeable and accommodating. The safari trip arranged was first class - we saw all the "Big 5" on a single day trip and many more "beasts" just walking/driving around ourselves.

A wonderful place to stay in Marloth Park, so close to Kruger. Zebra’s are walking through the garden when having a wonderful meal on the terrace. Staff has an answer on every question you’ve got and helps you with every problem you not can solve yourself. Next time visiting the Kruger, Needles lodge will be the place to stay.

Great place to stay next to the Kruger National Park. Very friendly, clean, modern with outstanding food and wine selection. 100% stay again, in fact we booked for Jan 24 when we checked out. Don't miss this little jem.

Incredible accomodation! What an amazing 9 nights I had here. The staff were wonderful. The food was delicious! The location was stunning. We had all kinds of wonderful animals visit while staying. 10/10 would recommend!

Dear Needles Team, thank you to you all for a wunderful stay at your lodge for "Four Night Adventure Paket". If we think about the two full day Safaris with Pierre, the morning walk with the Rangers or just the delicious breakfast & dinner the whole Team prepared for us everyday, we just can not stop smiling. I think the whole idea of eating dinner with all guests at one table, the very earling wake up calls with fresh Coffee or the Information while chatting with you, is what makes you different than others. We highly recommend a stay at needles lodge and See on your own the calm and nice "roadblockers" attached in the picture at the lodge. Best regards! Björn & Eva

Dennis and his team make you feel right at home and the lodge has a very "homey" feel. The food is excellent and you eat "family style" which allows you to interact with all of the guests. On our last night, they did a fun "braai" so we got to experience a South African BBQ. There are only eight rooms and are very nice. The lodge offers different excursions for you to chose from and you are only thirty minutes from the gate. My friends and I will be back again! Thank you Dennis for your hospitality!

In August 2023 we had a wonderful stay at Needles Lodge. First, we were welcomed by the zebras. The lodges were very clean and very nice decorated. In het evening we had a delicious dinner with all the guests together. The whole staff, Lyn, Gail and Denis made our stay very special: the second day, the day of our full day game drive to Kruger National Park, was also the birthday of our daughter. Lyn arranged a special birthday cake for her en the staff sang a song to her at the end of the dinner. We really enjoyed our stay at Needles Lodge, thank you all very much!
