Kruger Park is a wonderful place that everyone should know! We were enchanted with the animals, the nature, the environment. Our game was enjoyable, but lacked charisma from the guide / gamer. Despite my bad English, he could have been kinder. In addition, the company was very

Hi there 'Explorer' Thanks so much for your review - we appreciate each and every one of them to make sure that we give our clients the best experience they can possible have while exploring this wonderful part of our beautiful country. You are right - the language issue did create a bit of a barrier - this is no one's fault - but we are glad that we could introduce yourselves and your child to the Kruger and all the creatures of the African bush. I believe a lot of wonderful memories were made. Hope you enjoyed the rest or your trip in our beautiful country and that you had a save trip home. Annette

My first time in Kruger park was massively improved by the care and attention Tim and Annette give while staying at Bushwise. Tim picked us up from the airport and described what we were seeing on the drive with great detail. He also organized our tours for us and took us to the

Warm greetings to you from a sunny bushveld, We really appreciate your lovely review - thank you! I have passed your compliments on to our staff - they are always very thankful if our guests comment on the effort they put in to make their stay as memorable as possible - thank you for acknowledging them too. I am glad you mentioned the ongoing struggle with bugs and moths in the African bush - which is part of the bushveld. Future guests should take caution to alwasy make sure that all lights are switched off when leaving the room and that the insect screens in front of the doors and windows are closed. Tim also enjoyed your company tremendously so we're hoping to see you again in the near further. Regards from the bush. Annette

Lovely, friendly hosts. Comfortable accommodation. Close accessibility to Crocodile Bridge Gate in the Kruger. Average home cooked meals. It would have been nice to have single seater couch in the room.

Hi Michael It is such a pity that you did not mention any of these complaints during your stay with us as we would have immediately attended to it, like the door lock (I could not find the broken hinges that you mentioned though?). We always strive to make our guests' stay as pleasant, comfortable and memorable as possible and will always go the extra mile to achieve exactly that. Everyone living in SA (as you do too) knows about the challenge that SA faces regarding electrical supply - I find it a bit unfair that you complain about this on this platform as you are aware that the situation is the same for the whole of SA at this stage. I can organize everything for your during your stay with us, but can not control the temperature and rainfall. In my booking confirmation letter to you and again in other correspondence during your booking process did I mention that Bushwise Safari lodge does NOT have any self catering facilities. We also have a bar so we don't really allow guests to bring their own drinks - Therefore we were quite surprised when you arrived here with cooler boxes full of your own without even requesting if that would be in order. Some of the people in your group even went as far as to unlock our bar fridge and help themselves from our stock as well! He also then started to take our stock out and put his own in our bar fridge. I am sure you will agree with me that this behavior is unacceptable. One of our Bushwise staff members were always at your service (also during dinner) to serve you with what ever drinks you might need - you only needed to ask. I am therefore a bit confused as to what exactly it is that you are complaining about here? Some of you also made use of and entered our kitchen (with a big 'STAFF ONLY' sign on the door) without permission and without even knocking and put all your food and drinks in our kitchen fridge?! In our room catalog we stated clearly that it is advisable to switch off the lights and close the insect screens when you're not in your rooms. As everyone knows - insects are attracted to light and will enter the room should you neglect to do so. I am also a bit confused about the fact that you are complaining about the mark up that we put on our safaris. On the game drives, our guests are exposed to our guides' vast knowledge of and passion for the African bush and it's creatures, as well as having the opportunity of doing game drives in our open safari vehicle which is a complete different experience that going in your own car. It really sounds like you were expecting to get this service for free? Any of our guests are more than welcome to enter the Kruger park in their own vehicle should they prefer to do so. The same with all the other activities that we offer. Here I would also like to mention that a lot of our clients are international guests that we picked up at the Nelspruit airport. They therefore don't have transport and will miss out on all the lovely activities and safaris that we offer if they don't do it via us. Also - even after writing this review - you still contacted me requesting to courier the cap that one of you had forgotten here to you. I will do so gladly. Annette

Hi there, Thank you for your interest in Bushwise Safaris and Lodge. We provide game viewing safaris for guests staying at our lodge only. We are on the southern border of the Kruger National park (about 18 km from the Crocodile gate) and the animals wander freely around the lodge - this makes what we have to offer quite unique. Please let us know if you are interested in accommodation as well and we will gladly assist you further. Warm wishes from a sunny bushveld. Annette

Hi Akash Buswise normally send you an itemised list of the activities you can book. B'fast and Dinner I think you will find are included in your price. And can I add that they are both delicious. If they haven't, you can book once you get there if you are having trouble contacting.

I spent some time chatting to the ranger at the lodge and he often drives into Mozambique (including Maputo) to pick up guests. So transfer is possible.
