The best of Africa, distilled into one lodge - Bushwise Safari Lodge. We are one of the very view establishments in Marloth Park that is situated right on the banks of the Crocodile River, with an exquisite view over the river and the Kruger Park. The animals wander freely around the lodge - this makes what we have to offer quite unique. It is our passion to make this little piece of paradise in Africa that we call our home, available to all. We strive to meet everyone's needs and expectations, with different options to suit every pocket. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available on request at an additional fee. Extra bed/s can be requested at an additional fee and on request. We also offer transport from/to the Nelspruit airport, bus depot in Nelspruit, and Komatipoort at an additional fee and on request. From our Safari Lodge base, we offer all of our guests the thrill of personalized game viewing safaris, sunset safaris into Kruger in open safari vehicles, in search of the Big Five and all the wonders the African bush has to offer. Morning walks with armed guides are also available. Our guides have a passion for the African bush and its creatures and can't wait to share their vast knowledge of this unique ecosystem with you. Other activities include tiger fishing on the Komati River, quad biking, elephant interaction, and horse riding. Excursions to the neighbouring states of Mozambique and Swaziland and the splendorous Panorama route are also available.

There were 4 of us in 2 lovely comfortable bedrooms, overlooking the beautiful river. It was super relaxed, run by this lovely couple who couldn't do enough to make our 3 day stay very special. Their staff were also very helpful. They were extremely accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely & spacious (with nice big fridges) with very comfy beds. The pool/bar area was a wonderful area to hang out for sundowners whilst overlooking the river. There are some very lovely restaurants in the nearby vicinity. I highly recommend this fabulous lodge if you are staying in the area. Kerry

We were very happy with our stay at Bushwise safari lodge, we had a room with balcony and a beautiful view overlooking the crocodile river. At night we could hear hippos and the hyenas calling in the kruger park and in the morning we were greeted with their presence running along the crocodile river. Thanks to Annette and team for a very clean room and also the extra arrangements that we had requested. We will definitely recommend Bushwise Safari Lodge for anyone who wants a quick break or even a holiday in Marloth Park, proper african Bush experience.

Hi Francois, Thank you for putting into words what our future guests can expect when staying with us. We are extremely lucky to be one of the very few establishments in Marloth Park that are situated right on the banks of the Crocodile river with an exquisite view over the Kruger Park - where all of the Big Five have been spotted from our own balcony. We are only a one-minute walk to the river, and taking a stroll along the river, one can expect to see just as many animals, as when visiting the Kruger itself. Hope you had a nice trip home. Keep in touch. Annette

we stayed for 3 nights (4 adults + 1 child 6 years). It is a good base for the Kruger Park and for hiking in Marloth Park. The location of the lodge is uniquely beautiful. The rooms are also equipped for a quick breakfast if someone wants to leave for the Kruger at 6:00 am. The only negative - but not the owner's fault - the last few kilometers to the lodge are in a bad state. The good breakfast would be even better if you could have it on the upper terrace, it would be a 5-star highlight with a view of the Kruger!

You are right! What makes Marloth special, is the fact that one can take a walk along the animals, something that is not allowed in Kruger itself. There are quite a few benches along the border of Kruger Park, on the banks of the Crocodile River, where you can relax and watch yet another magnificent sunset over the African bush - we truly live in paradise. Keep in touch, we all here at Bushwise are looking forward to welcoming you back. Annette

The lodge is located on an ideal spot as you can look from your room into the Kruger park.
Tim and Annette were very friendly.
On arrival it was extremely warm and some refreshments from the bar would have been nice however there is not always someone there to assist you.
They are quite expensive when it comes to tours to the kruger park and I would recommend considering other vendors for these services.

Hi Mike, Thanks for your review. As you know, and according to the current lock-down rules that we have to adhere to, we are not allowed to sell any alcohol from our bar. The prices of our activities and safaris are market-related for our area. We have to make use of freelance guides and we have to at least cover our expenses. Glad you enjoyed the amazing view over the Kruger Park and the Crocodile river from your room! Take care. Annette

Stayed over several times now, making use of the Lodge as well as the self catering unit. it remains a pleasant experience. All facilities are clean and neat. The upper rooms and pool area makes for the perfect sundowners, to cool down, and then again the first morning coffee. We will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later. Deon & Debbie du Plooy

This is the second time that we have stayed at the apartment at the Bushwise Safari Lodge. It was exactly how we remembered it: superb! A real second home with a wonderful kitchen, lovely shower, very spacious bedrooms and a private patio looking straight into the bush. There is also a large private braai/ barbeque area next to the kitchen and it’s a one minute walk to the Kruger Park fence overlooking the Crocodile River! We will be back again for sure!

We have now had the privilege of staying at Bushwise on 4 occasions. Tim, Annette and the team are great hosts. We were fortunate to see the Big 5 on consecutive days .. an absolute highlight. The early morning starts are hard work, but well worth it when welcomed back at the bar with a cold refreshment. Tim has lots of stories to tell and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the bush. His passion for Africa and all things African is unbounded. The rooms are comfortable, air conditioned and these us nothing like a hot shower after a hot day in Kruger. I would highly recommend Bushwise when we are all able to travel again. It will certainly not be our last visit!

Our stay was fantastic! The owner was on hand to sort us out immediately and attended to any of our needs. Sundowners at the balcony bar with views of the River, elephants, and the setting sun is not to be missed. A great overnight stay for anyone en route or exiting Kruger, or if you’re looking for some peace and solitude in the bush.

Hi Akash
Buswise normally send you an itemised list of the activities you can book. B'fast and Dinner I think you will find are included in your price. And can I add that they are both delicious. If they haven't, you can book once you get there if you are having trouble contacting.

I spent some time chatting to the ranger at the lodge and he often drives into Mozambique (including Maputo) to pick up guests. So transfer is possible.
